Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Flossenstabilisator nach Anspruch 1.The invention relates to a fin stabilizer according to claim 1.
A wide range of fin stabilizers for passenger ships, larger yachts, swimming pontoons and the like are known from the prior art. Square fin shapes are generally used here. With the square fin types, in order to optimize the hydrodynamically effective fin surface for roll stabilization at anchor or at zero speed of the ship, the aim is to arrange the fin shaft as close as possible to the front edge of the fin.
An object of the invention is to provide a fin stabilizer for a watercraft which enables an improved stabilization effect against rolling movements of a ship in motion, at anchor or at zero speed.
The task mentioned at the beginning is achieved in that the fin shaft axis is set in a first operating position in a direction of travel of the ship. In this operating position, the fin shaft axis is pivoted about the pivot axis, for example, by a pivot angle of less than 90°. As a result, the stabilization effect is optimized. According to the invention, the fin is in the direction of travel of the ship, that is to say on the bow side or in the direction of a The bow of the ship is turned on or leads the hull of the ship due to the lead angle. In the context of this description, the term zero speed or zero travel defines that the unpowered ship does not actively travel through the water, although it can drift over the ground with any current in the water. A sweep of the fin in the direction of travel is up to 30°. This makes it possible to reduce the size of the fin box due to the resulting geometry. An inner edge of the fin has at least one kink section.
In a first operating position, the fin shaft axis is positioned forward in the direction of travel. The advantage here is that forces acting from the bow side on the fin can transmit thrust forces along the shaft axis to the pivoting device, since the shaft axis is positioned forward. The torque acting on the fin and the pivoting device is therefore reduced by these thrust forces. In a second operating position, the fin shaft axis is not positioned forward. Preferably, an advance angle of the fin shaft axis in the first operating position in the direction of travel is between 60° and 90°. In the second operating position, the fin shaft axis is essentially aligned vertically or even backwards to the direction of travel. Preferably, the fin can be adjusted between the rest position and the first and second operating positions depending on the driving situation. For example, the fin can be operated in the first operating position while driving. While driving, to adjust the angle of attack δ in relation to the water flowing towards the fin, the fin shaft axis is usually rotated by a smaller angular range than in pre-anchor operation, in which the angular range of the angle of attack δ is larger to enable paddling operation. In the first operating position, the fin cannot yet be completely swiveled out of the fin box, so that in the area of the fin root, a ship-side area of the leading edge remains in the fin box, without the required angular range of the angle of attack δ being restricted. In other words, the fin is rotated in an angular range for roll stabilization without the part of the leading edge located in the fin box abutting it. However, operating situations can also arise in which it can make sense to operate the fin in the second operating position while driving, i.e. fully swung out and in the first operating position when operating at anchor. This can be particularly useful if, even in the first operating position, there is no longer any fin area in the fin box and therefore the angle of attack δ is not limited by the opening of the fin box. In the second operating position, however, the front edge of the fin can be pivoted backwards in the direction of travel, which can result in lower flow resistance, especially when traveling quickly. The operating position of the fin can advantageously be changed and operated between the first operating position and the second operating position depending on the operating situation.
In the first operating position, an optimal effective radius of the fin is achieved in terms of stabilizing the ship. In particular, depending on the shape of the fin, a rear outer fin tip in the first operating position can be at a greater distance from the outer skin of the fuselage than a front outer fin tip. The rear fin tip is basically further out than the front fin tip. Furthermore, the rear outer fin tip can be at a greater distance from the outer skin of the fuselage in the first operating position than in the second operating position.
In a technically advantageous embodiment, the fin is essentially flush with a hull of the ship in the rest position. This allows the flow resistance to be minimized when the ship is in motion. In addition, there is no risk of damage to the fin when driving through ice.
Preferably, a distance of the fin shaft axis from a leading edge in the area of a central chord with a central span of the fin corresponds to approximately 10% to 30% of a chord length. This results in a small distance between the fin shaft axis and the front edge of the fin. The span extends from one Inner edge or a fin root to an outer edge or an outermost fin tip.
In an advantageous shape it is provided that the front edge and/or an outer edge and/or a rear edge of the fin have at least one bend section. As a result, a structurally simple modification of the hydrodynamically effective surface of the fin is possible. In addition, this allows for a flexible design of the circumferential geometries of the fin.
A preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below using schematic figures.

According to the invention, a distance A of the
