Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to the technology field of peripheral products for cigar, and more particularly to a cigar holder device.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • It is well known that cigar is the most famous export product of Cuba. Manufacturing process of a cigar simply includes steps of (1) cultivation of tobacco, (2) curing tobacco leaves to induce the cigar's characteristic aroma, (3) fermentation of the cured tobacco leaves, and (4) rolling and wrapping the tobacco leaves to a cigar. Nowadays, quality cigars are still handmade. An experienced cigar-roller can produce hundreds of good, nearly identical cigars per day. The rollers keep the tobacco moist-especially the wrapper-and use specially designed crescent-shaped knives, called chavetas, to form the filler and wrapper leaves quickly and accurately. Once rolled, the cigars are stored in wooden forms as they dry, in which their uncapped ends are cut to a uniform size. From this stage, the cigar is a complete product that can be "laid down" and aged for decades if kept as close to 21 °C (70 °F), and 70% relative humidity.
  • FIG. 1 shows a stereo diagram of a cigar. As FIG. 1 shows, commercial cigar 1' commonly has a head end 11' and a foot end 12'. When smoking the cigar 1', a user needs to light the foot end 12' by flame, and then uses his mouth to suck the head end 11'. For a user who almost smoking a cigar a day, broadleaf wrapper of the cigar may sometimes be strong on the user's tongue, causing the tongue feel uncomfortable after the smoke. In view of that, cigar holder is accordingly developed for being used as interface between the user's mouth and the cigar head. FIG. 2 shows a stereo diagram of a cigar that is connected with a conventional a cigar holder. When using the cigar holder 2' to smoke a cigar 1', the cigar holder 2' is connected to the head end 11' of the cigar 1' by a receiving opening 21' thereof, such that the user is able to smoke the cigar 1' by using his mouth to suck a suction nozzle 22' of the cigar holder 2'.
  • However, user feedback opinion indicates that, since the receiving opening 21' of the cigar holder 2' has a fixed diameter, user is not allowed to use the identical cigar holder 2' to smoke all brands of cigar. For example, two classic cigars manufactured by famous Corona Cigar Company have been well known Corona and Petit Corona, wherein the Corona cigar has a ring gauge of 42-44 inches, and the Petit Corona cigar has a ring gauge of 40-42 inches.
  • From above descriptions, it is clear that there is still room for improvement in the conventional cigar holder. In view of that, inventors of the present application have made great efforts to make inventive research and eventually provided a cigar holder device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • To more clearly describe a cigar holder device disclosed by the present invention, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings hereinafter.
  • First embodiment
  • With reference to FIG. 3A, there is shown a first stereo diagram of a cigar that is connected with a cigar holder device according to the present invention. Moreover, FIG. 3B illustrates a second stereo diagram of the cigar that is connected with the cigar holder device. From FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B, the cigar holder device 1 of the present invention is designed to be connected to a head end 21 of a cigar 2, and the cigar holder device 1 has a center through hole CTH and a plurality of peripheral through holes PTH. After lighting a foot end 22 of the cigar 2 to produce a cigarette smoke, the center through hole CTH and the plurality of peripheral through holes PTH allow the cigarette smoke to flow through, such that user is able to inhale the cigar smoke by his mouth via the cigar holder device 1.
  • FIG. 4A shows a first stereo diagram of the first embodiment of the cigar holder device according to the present invention, and FIG. 4B illustrates a second stereo diagram of the first embodiment of the holder device. According to the present invention, the cigar holder device 1 mainly comprises a dish-shaped body 11 and a plurality of inserting members 13. The dish-shaped body 11 has a bottom platform 12, a round side wall connected to the bottom platform 12, and a receiving recess formed between the round side wall and the bottom platform 12. Moreover, the inserting members 13 are vertically disposed on the bottom platform 12. As FIG. 4A shows, each of the inserting members 13 comprises a supporting rod SP and an inserting head 132, wherein the supporting rod SP is connected to the bottom platform 12 and the inserting head 132 by a tail end and a head end thereof, such that a snap flange 133 is formed between a bottom of the inserting head 132 and the head end of the supporting rod SP.
  • As described in more detail below, the center through hole CTH and the peripheral through holes PTH are formed on the bottom platform 12, and the center through hole CTH is surrounded by the peripheral through holes PTH. FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B also depict that the center through hole CTH has a circular shape. However, in other practicable embodiment, the center through hole CTH can also be designed to have an elliptical shape, a triangle shape, or a polygon shape. On the other hand, the peripheral through hole PTH has an arc shape.
  • It should know that, commercial cigar has a ring gauge in a range between 20 inches and 50 inches. Accordingly, the present invention particularly lets each of the inserting members 13 and a center point of the bottom platform 12 are apart a spacing distance. The forgoing spacing distance is controlled to be smaller than 20 inches, so as to guarantee that all of the inserting members 13 can insert into the head end 21 of the cigar 2 when the cigar holder device 1 of the present invention is connected to the head end 21 of the cigar 2. Therefore, after lighting a foot end 22 of the cigar 2, a cigar smoke flows through the central through hole CTH and the peripheral through holes PTH, such that a user is able to inhale the cigar smoke via the cigar holder device 2. As a result, tobacco scraps are prevented from falling into the user's mouth during smoking the cigar 2, and the user's tongue would not feel uncomfortable. As such, by using this cigar holder device 1 to smoke a cigar 2, the user is guaranteed to inhale cigar smoke at a comfortable state.
  • As FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B show, there are a plurality of connecting ribs SR disposed between the round side wall and the bottom platform 12, thereby making any two of the peripheral through holes PTH be isolated by one connecting rib SR. As described in more detail below, each of the connecting ribs SR and an opening edge of the receiving recess are also apart a spacing distance, such that a buffer space is formed between the opening edge of the receiving recess and each of the connecting ribs SR. By such design, after connecting the cigar holder device 1 of the present invention to a cigar 2, not only do all of the inserting members 13 insert into the head end 21 of a cigar 2, but a part of the head end 21 is also embedded into the forgoing buffer spaces, leading the cigar holder device 1 and the head end 21 of the cigar 2 to perform a good connection stability.
  • Second embodiment
  • FIG. 5A shows a first stereo diagram of a second embodiment of the cigar holder device according to the present invention, and FIG. 5B illustrates a second stereo diagram of the second embodiment of the holder device. In addition, FIG. 6A shows a first exploded view of the second embodiment of the cigar holder, and FIG. 6B illustrates second exploded view of the second embodiment of the holder device. In second embodiment, the round side wall of the dish-shaped body 11 is particularly designed to comprise a first arc-shaped member 111, a second arc-shaped member 112, a third arc-shaped member 113, and a fourth arc-shaped member 114. In which, the first arc-shaped member 111 is provided with a first connecting member 1111 and a second connecting member 1112 respectively on two ends thereof, and the second arc-shaped member 112 is provided with a third connecting member 1121 and a fourth connecting member 1122 respectively on two ends thereof. From FIG. 5A, FIG. 5B, FIG. 6A, and FIG. 6B, it is understood that the third connecting member 1121 of the second arc-shaped member 112 is connected to the second connecting member 1112 of the first arc-shaped member 111.
  • As described in more detail below, the third arc-shaped member 113 is provided with a fifth connecting member 1131 and a sixth connecting member 1132 respectively on two ends thereof, wherein the fifth connecting member 1131 of the third arc-shaped member 113 is connected to the fourth connecting member 1112 of the second arc-shaped member 112. Moreover, the fourth arc-shaped member 114 is provided with a seventh connecting member 1141 and an eighth connecting member 1142 respectively on two ends thereof, wherein the seventh connecting member 1141 of the fourth arc-shaped member 114 is connected to the sixth connecting member 1132 of the third arc-shaped member 113, and the eighth connecting member 1142 of the fourth arc-shaped member 114 is connected to the first connecting member 1111 of the first arc-shaped member 111.
