Die Öffnungshöhe hO ist definiert durch den vertikalen Abstand des vorderen Rahmenteils 3' in der Schließstellung und in der Öffnungsstellung. Die Länge IO' der Verdickung 29 entspricht somit der Öffnungshöhe hO. Nach einer alternativen Ausführungsform der Erfindung kann die Klemmeinrichtung 9 auch derart ausgebildet sein, dass sie mit lediglich einer einzigen Strebe 4 oder mit mehr als zwei Streben 4 verbunden ist, wobei innenseitig, also innerhalb des Rahmens des Bettes, ein Vorsprung gebildet wird, auf der die Auflagefläche 8 aufliegt, dies vorzugsweise an mindestens drei Rahmenseiten. Im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel sind die ersten Klemmelemente 10 an der Auflagefläche 8 befestigt, so dass die Höhe der jeweiligen Klemmeinrichtungen 9 an den unterschiedlichen Rahmenseiten vorgegeben ist.     wherein the limiting strut (4', 4") has an upper thickening (20) in an upper region thereof with a stop surface (23) for the bearing surface (8) arranged at a lower end (22) thereof,
    wherein the limiting strut (4', 4") has a lower thickening (21) in a lower region thereof with a stop surface (25) arranged at an upper end (24) thereof,
    wherein at least two opposite frame parts (2, 3) each have at least one single limiting strut (4") with the upper and the lower thickening (20, 21).
  2. A bed according to claim 1, characterised in that a front frame part (3') is designed to be adjustable between a lower open position and an upper closed position thereof, and in that the front frame part (3') has the limiting strut (4‴) with the upper thickening (29) at opposite end regions respectively.
  3. A bed according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the thickening (20, 21, 29) has a greater transverse extension than a residual portion (26) of the limiting strut (4', 4", 4"').
  4. A bed according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the thickening (20, 21, 29) of the limiting strut (4', 4", 4‴) is rectangular or square in crosssection.
  5. A bed according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the thickening (29) of the limiting strut (4‴) of the front frame part (3') is formed on an inner side facing the supporting surface (8) as an inclined surface (30) which tapers in the direction of the upper end of the limiting strut (4‴).
  6. A bed according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that a clamping device (9) is provided which can be fixed at different positions of the struts (4) and/or limiting struts (4', 4") in dependence on a height (h) of the supporting surface (8) to be set.
  7. A bed according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the clamping device (9) comprises a first clamping element (10) and a second clamping element (11) connectable thereto, of which the first clamping element (10) and/or the second clamping element (11) has at least one groove adapted to the transverse extension of the strut (4) and the remaining portion (26) of the limiting strut (4', 4").
  8. A bed according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the first clamping element (10) is arranged on the inside of the frame to form a support for the bearing surface (8) and that the second clamping element (11) is arranged on the outside of the frame.
  9. A bed according to one of the claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the first clamping element (10) and/or the second clamping element (11) partially enclose the strut (4) and/or the limiting strut (4', 4") and in that the first clamping element (10) and the second clamping element (11) each have a bore (14, 15) for receiving a fastening screw (16), the bore (14, 15) being arranged between the two grooves (12, 13), which are arranged at a distance from one another, of the same clamping element (10, 11).
