Claims (9)

  1. A strike plate (4, 104, 204) for an espagnolette fitting of a window, a French window or the like, with a base part (6) and with a head part (7) connected to the base part (6) and with at least one retaining edge (14, 15, 114, 115) arranged in the head part (7) for supporting a locking pin (5) of the espagnolette fitting, wherein the head part (7) is designed U-shaped in cross-section with a base (8) and two legs (9, 10, 209, 210) protruding from the base (8), characterized in that both legs (9, 10) have respective retaining edges (14, 15, 114, 115, 214, 215) and in that the head part (7) is optionally mountable with the one leg (9, 209) or the other leg (10, 210) in a position interacting with the locking pin (5).
  2. The strike plate according to claim 1, characterized in that both legs (9, 10) have a respective inlet opening (11, 12, 211, 212).
  3. The strike plate according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the inlet openings (11, 12) of the two legs (9, 10) are connected to each other via the base (8).
  4. The strike plate according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that inlet openings (211, 212) are arranged on opposing ends of the strike plate (204).
  5. The strike plate according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the base part (6) has a web (19) for supporting the two legs (9, 10) of the head part (7) and support feet (21) for support on an adjacent component of the window, the French window or the like.
  6. The strike plate according to at least one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the base part (6) and the head part (7) have corresponding latching recesses (17) and latching hooks (16) for engagement.
  7. The strike plate according to at least one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the base part (6) has a recess (22) for attachment of a leverage tool.
  8. The strike plate according to at least one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the legs (9, 10) have fastening recesses (13) flush to each other for guiding fastening screws through.
  9. The strike plate according to at least one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the legs (9, 10) have markings (23, 24) on sides averted from each other for identification of the assembly position.
