Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-purpose piece of furniture for children.
- Children's furniture is known, for example, in the form of children's chairs, children's high chairs, children's rockers and children's armchairs. Depending on their function and the design solution, these pieces of furniture usually only allow the user to perform the functions for which they were built, such as sitting, lying or rocking.
- a multi-purpose piece of furniture which can be used as a high seat and as a rocking rocker, the conversion taking place by pivoting the elements of the frame relative to one another, with this pivoting movement moving a rigid seat element from a first position to a second position.
- a multi-purpose piece of furniture which can be used as a high seat and as a rocking rocker, with a fixed position being provided for the high seat function and for the rocking rocker function in which a seat is mounted or can be mounted. If there are two seats, the furniture can be converted by simply folding it over, otherwise the entire seat must be reassembled.
- the multi-purpose furniture includes a rigid frame and a rigid seat element, which can be attached to different positions on the frame depending on the desired function. The disadvantage is that converting the furniture always involves complete dismantling and reassembly of the rigid seating element.
- the US 188120 A shows a high chair that can also be used as a swing or vehicle.
- the backrest and the seat are rigidly connected to one another and together form an adjustable element that can be moved between a first position and a second Position can be pivoted.
- the disadvantage is that the seat and the backrest are rigidly connected to each other, so the possible uses are limited.
- the backrest and the seat are rigidly connected to each other and together form an adjustable element.
- the high chair also has adjustable wheels, which can be adjusted between two positions by swiveling.
- the backrest and the seat are rigidly connected to each other and together form an adjustable element.
- a second adjustable element in the form of a tray, can only be placed in one position on the two side panels.
- the CN 103284494 A shows a seating group made up of three separate pieces of furniture, each of which is a rigid element.
- the EP 2394534 A1 shows a multifunctional piece of furniture.
- the EP 2394534 A1 All elements are rigid between the two side parts. There are no adjustable elements. One disadvantage seems to be the high weight due to the large number of rigid elements.
- the EP 2394534 Four of the rigid elements can each be moved at one end along a circular arc guideway, while the other end is pivoted about a fixed axis of rotation. This measure does not reduce the number of elements.
- the US 1326415 A shows a piece of furniture that has rigid elements and rotationally adjustable elements.
- the adjustable elements are adjusted by pivoting around a fixed axis.
- the disadvantages of the device seem to be the high weight due to the many elements and the limited adjustability due to the adjustment of the elements around fixed axes.
- the EP 3305136 A1 shows a multi-purpose chair in which the seat and backrest are made from a flexible sheet.
- the present invention has the task of providing a multi-purpose piece of furniture for children, which includes at least the function of a high chair and another, whereby the piece of furniture should be easily convertible and should be sufficient with just a few components or elements.
- the task is solved by a multi-purpose piece of furniture according to claim 1.
- a multi-purpose piece of furniture which has the high chair function and, by turning it over to another side, at least one further function is selected from the group: rocking rocker; table with bench; Stairs; toy vehicle; has, wherein the multi-purpose furniture has two side parts and at least two connecting elements which rigidly connect these side parts at two positions, with at least two separate and independently adjustable elements being present between the side parts, each of at least two adjustable elements being adjustable independently of the other Element is adjustable at least between two positions between the side parts (2a, 2b) and the spatial orientation of the respective adjustable element in one of the positions differs from the spatial orientation of the respective adjustable element in another position.
- the respective adjustable element experiences a translational movement and a rotational movement starting from the first position to reach the second position.
- the spatial orientation of the adjustable element in two positions is different if, in addition to a translational movement, a rotational movement is also necessary to reach the other position.
- the adjustable elements are not adjusted by pivoting about one or more rotation or pivot axes.
- the adjustable elements are adjusted independently of each other, by moving one or both adjustable elements along at least one respective non-circular guideway, or by removing one or both adjustable elements from a respective first predefined position and reinserting them at a respective second predefined position between the side parts , wherein the spatial orientation of the adjustable element in the first predefined position differs from the spatial orientation of the adjustable element in the second predefined position.
- the respective adjustable element in the first predefined position is not parallel to the same adjustable element in the second predefined position.
- one of the rigid elements is designed as a backrest of the high chair, with the first of the at least two adjustable elements being designed as a first plate and forming the seat of the high chair in a first position when used as a high chair and in a second position also when used at least in another way an element selected from the group: seat when used as a swing; Seat when used as a table or toy vehicle; Lower step when used as a staircase, whereby a translational movement and a rotational movement are necessary starting from the first position to reach the second position.
- the adjustable elements are preferably flat elements, such as flat plates or slightly curved two-dimensional elements.
- At least one of the connecting elements is preferably designed as a rod.
- One of the connecting elements is preferably a flat element, such as a flat plate or a slightly curved two-dimensional element. This connecting element is particularly preferably the backrest of the high chair.
- one of the adjustable elements is the seat of the high chair, which can be fixed in a first position in an at least approximately parallel orientation to the floor when the furniture is used as a high chair, and can be fixed in a second position when used for a second time, the orientation of the seat being in The two positions are different, with the change in the orientation of the seat preferably taking place to an extent of greater than 45°.
- one of the adjustable elements is the foot support surface of the high chair, which can be fixed in a first position in an at least approximately parallel orientation to the floor when the furniture is used as a high chair, and can be fixed in a second position when used for a second time, the orientation of the foot support surface being in The two positions are different, with the change in the orientation of the foot support surface preferably occurring to an extent of greater than 45°.
- the change in the orientation of the adjustable elements is preferably carried out in that the two side parts each have at least one guide per adjustable element, the adjustable elements being movable along these guides.
- the side parts preferably have at least approximately the shape of a small ypsilon, i.e. a y-shape.
- Each side part is preferably a plate which has three arms, each with a rounded end, with the three rounded ends of each of the two plates forming the legs of the furniture.
- the corresponding ends of the two plates each form a pair of legs, with a first and a second pair of these legs standing on the floor when used as a high chair and one of these pairs standing on the floor with the third pair when used a second time.
- each plate which form the first and second pair of legs, are connected to each other by a curve curved towards the center of the plate, so that the high chair only stands with the legs on the ground.
- each plate which form one of the first two pairs of legs and the third pair of legs, are preferably connected to one another by a curve curved towards the center of the plate, so that when the furniture is turned over to another side, it only has these legs stands on the ground.
- each panel which form one of the first two pairs of legs and the third pair of legs, are connected to each other by a curve curved away from the center of the panel, so that when the furniture is placed on this side, it is connected to the curved sides of the panels rests on the ground so that a rocking function is realized.
- the multi-purpose furniture preferably includes at least one or preferably all of the following functions: rocking rocker; Children's table with bench; Vehicle; stair ladder; storage shelf; Small chair.
- the functionality and ergonomics of the furniture are advantageously designed through a specific course of the side edges of the two side parts of the furniture.
- the piece of furniture takes on the functions of a children's high chair, a rocking rocker, a table with a bench or a stair ladder.
- the connecting elements preferably remain rigidly connected between the side parts, although these also assume other functions when the piece of furniture is turned over.
- the connecting elements can It can be screwed to the side parts in a specified position, or even permanently glued to them, depending on whether the furniture is to be fully assembled by the customer himself or already in the factory.
- the movable parts preferably always remain connected to the side parts, that is, they are not removed from the piece of furniture in order to be reinserted in a different position, but rather they are fixed along the side parts by simply handling them, for example by loosening them Guides designed for this purpose in the side parts are moved and/or rotated and fixed at a different position on the side parts.
- Each side part preferably has two guide tracks per adjustable element, with each adjustable element having guide elements protruding from the adjustable element on each of its two sides facing the side parts.
- One of these guide elements is guided in one of the guide tracks.
- the guide tracks are preferably designed in such a way that, when used as intended, the adjustable elements are held in this position in their intended fixation positions solely by gravity, in particular by the gravity of the person sitting or standing on them.
- Both side parts are preferably equipped with two types of guideways for each adjustable element.
- guide tracks are incorporated on the inside of the side parts as recesses, which preferably do not extend to the outside of the side part, these serving to guide the first guide elements of the adjustable elements.
- guide tracks are introduced into the side parts, which extend completely through the side part, these serving to guide second guide elements of the adjustable elements.
- the adjustable elements have a pure guide element on each of their sides and preferably a guide element with a fixation option.
- the pure guide elements are preferably designed as pins, pins or bolts, and these can preferably be moved into the adjustable element against the action of an elastic part such as a spring.
- the guide elements with fixation option also have a pin, pin, bolt or threaded bolt, which protrude completely through the side parts and a fixation element is provided on the outside of the side part, for example in the form of a screw, plug and clamp closure.
- the guide elements and/or guide elements with a fixing option can in particular be threaded bolts which are screwed into a nut thread present in the adjustable elements, preferably into a threaded insert.
- the piece of furniture is to be used as a rocking rocker based on the function of a children's high chair
- the children's high chair is simply turned over by 90 degrees and placed on the side area with rocking runners.
- the movable part which was used as a seat in the children's high chair, is moved to a different position, its orientation is changed, fixed and used again as a seat on the rocking rocker.
- both side parts and the connecting fixed and movable parts fulfill a double or multiple function, with the respective function being one of itself results from the alignment of the piece of furniture and, on the other hand, from moving and re-fixing the moving parts.
- the side parts are attached to each other using the fixed connecting elements and the adjustable elements.
- the side parts and the other elements can be provided with bores, holes, depressions and elevations in order to be able to attach additional objects to them to expand the functionality of the piece of furniture.
- various children's toys such as rotating cubes, horse heads or steering wheels can be easily mounted and dismantled on the fixed or adjustable parts.
- children's chairs, seat locks and/or table panels can be additionally mounted and dismantled on the moving parts.
- various wheels or rollers can be attached to the side parts to make moving the piece of furniture easier, or bands made of elastic material, for example rubber bands, can be attached to the edges.
- the side parts can be made from several pieces of material or from one piece of material.
- All parts of the piece of furniture can also be made from any materials, such as plastic or metal, but preferably from wood or wood composite materials.
- the choice of material depends on the respective function or design. For example, if a high chair is made primarily of wood, the seat can be coated or padded with different materials.
- the seats or the moving parts can be reinforced in various ways on their edges and/or their surfaces or in their bodies by various materials such as metal, plastic, fiber materials or adhesive or paint. For example, bolts and screw connections made of metal or other materials can be attached to the moving parts.
- FIG. 1-5 illustrated particularly preferred multi-purpose furniture 1 has two side parts 2, in the form of a first side part 2a and a second side part 2b, which have the same shape and size.
- the side parts 2a, 2b are connected by two connecting elements in the form of a backrest 3 and a rod 4. These connecting elements are firmly connected to the side parts 2, for example by dowels and/or screws.
- the multi-purpose furniture 1 also has a first plate 5 and a second plate 6 as adjustable elements, which can be brought into several different positions.
- the side parts 2a, 2b are each present as a single continuous element in the form of an approximately Y-shaped plate. Each plate therefore has three arms, each arm having a rounded end region 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b.
- the edge of the side parts 2a, 2b has a curved course between the end regions 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b.
- the course between two adjacent end regions 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b could, less preferably, be made straight, but this is rather rejected for aesthetic and weight reasons.
- the multi-purpose furniture 1 stands on the four end regions 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b when used as a high chair.
- the edge of each side part 2 runs between its end regions 7 and 8, curved inwards towards the center of the side part 2.
- the edge of each side part 2 curves outwards from the end region 7 to the end region 9 to form the rocking runners 10.
- Particularly preferred is a soft one on each of the rocking runners 10 and/or elastic material strips attached, for example made of rubber or felt, which enable quiet and gentle rolling on the floor. From the end region 9 to the end region 8, the edge of each side part 2 curves inwards towards the center of the side part 2.
- Each side part 2 has an arcuate section which extends between the end regions 7 and 9 and which is bent outwards on one side and inwards on the other side and the arm is approximately in the middle of the inwardly bent side the end area 8 protrudes. If the side parts 2 are composed of several individual elements, it is advisable to manufacture the arcuate area and the arm, which has the end area 8, as individual parts and preferably to connect them permanently, for example with glue.
- the rod 4 connects the end regions 8a and 8b of the two side parts 2a, 2b and, when used as a rocking rocker, serves as a holding rod as in Fig. 5 can be recognized.
- the backrest 3 connects the end regions 9a and 9b of the two side parts 2a, 2b and serves as a backrest when used as a high chair and is slightly inclined backwards when viewed upwards.
- the first plate 5 is the seat surface when used as a high chair and the second plate 6 is the footrest surface, so that a children's high chair with the usual structure is realized.
- the first plate 5 can be adjusted between two horizontal positions. In Fig. 2 the selected position A of the first plate 5 is shown in bold, with the other possible positions being shown with smaller line widths.
- the first plate 5 can be adjusted between four positions A, B, C, D.
- the plate 6 can be adjusted between two horizontal positions.
- the selected position E of the plate 6 is shown in bold, with the other possible positions being shown with smaller lines.
- the second plate 6 can be adjusted between three positions E, F, G.
- the first plate 5 is adjusted along guides 11, 12, with the guides 11a and 11b each running through the entire material thickness of the side parts 2a, 2b and the guides 12a, 12b not.
- the second plate 6 is adjusted along guides 13, 14, with the guides 13a and 13b each running through the entire material thickness of the side parts 2a, 2b and the guides 14a, 14b not.
- the first plate 5 has a guide element 16 for each of the guides 11a, 11b, which protrude outwards through the side parts 2a, 2b and can be fixed in their position there with fixing elements 15.
- the first plate 5 has a guide element 17 for each of the guides 12a, 12b, which projects into the respective guide groove and ends in it.
- the second plate 6 has a guide element 16 for each of the guides 13a, 13b, which protrude outwards through the side parts 2a, 2b and can be fixed in their position there with fixing elements 15.
- the second plate 6 has a guide element 17 for each of the guides 14a, 14b, which projects into the respective guide groove and ends in it.
- the two guide elements 16 of each plate 5, 6 can preferably be formed by a single element, for example a threaded rod, a threaded bolt or a screw, which runs through the entire plate 5, 6 and protrudes from it on both sides.
- the two guide elements 17 of each plate 5, 6 can preferably be formed by a single element, for example a threaded rod, a threaded bolt or a screw, which runs through the entire plate 5, 6 and protrudes from it on both sides.
- the guides 11a, 11b and guides 12a, 12b run slightly upwards starting from position B in both possible directions, so that here too adjustment is only possible against the weight.
- the first plate 5 When used as a staircase or table with bench, as in Fig. 4 shown, the first plate 5 was brought into position C, whereby the first plate 5 in position C would cross the first plate 5 in position A and/or B. Starting from position C, none of the guides 11, 12 run downwards, so that here too, adjustment is only possible against the weight.
- the second plate 6 serves as a table or as an upper step, and the first plate 5 as a bench or as a lower step.
- the first plate 5 When used as a rocking rocker, as in Fig. 5 shown, the first plate 5 was brought into position D, starting from position D none of the guides 11, 12 runs downwards, so that here too adjustment is only possible against the weight.
- the first plate 5 serves as a bench, the rod 4 as a support rod and the second plate 6 can be used as a footrest.
- the backrest could be fixed in various positions using a measure known from the prior art, for example by providing rows of holes into which screws and/or dowels of the backrest can protrude.
- objects can be mounted or mountable, such as a steering wheel, tool holder, or cup holder.
- recesses can be provided, for example in order to be able to place plates, cups, toys or tools therein.
- Toys such as rotating cubes, a steering wheel or an animal head, in particular a horse head, can be mounted or mountable on the rod 4 (as an imitation, of course).
- the rod 4 can preferably have a hole in the middle through which, for example, the handlebar of the steering wheel or the rod of a hobby horse can be placed.
- a three-dimensional object can also be used as an adjustable element, in particular a flat chest or a plate with a compartment, similar to a school desk compartment.
- fall protection When used as a high chair for small children, it is intended that fall protection is installed.
- Such fall protection is known from the prior art and has an element in the form of a belt or rigid bracket, which extends from one side part to the other, or from the backrest in an arc to the front and back to the backrest, with a second one centrally at the front Element runs from the first element of the fall protection downwards to the seat or to the first plate 5 so that the child cannot slip out below.
- a plate is mounted above the seat in addition to or independently of the fall protection, which serves as a table top for the high chair.
- an adapter is mounted on the backrest or on the side parts, for example plugged on, which serves to attach a baby seat.
- a sloping or straight lying surface for babies is attached to the backrest or the side parts, so that babies who cannot yet sit up on their own can also use the high chair.
- the fall protection, baby seat or lying surface can also be advantageously mounted in the rocking position, on or above the first plate 5 in Fig. 5 .
- An additional connecting element 19 could be present at the end region 7 in order to make the furniture even more stable.
- Fig. 6 A variant generalization not according to the invention is shown, in which the plates 5, 6 must first be completely removed from the multi-purpose furniture 1 for conversion and then be inserted again, as is generally known from children's high chairs according to the prior art.
- the furniture has guide grooves 18, with the plates 5, 6 being held directly with their side edges in the guide grooves 18, i.e. without guide elements 16, 17.
- Fig. 6 For the height adjustment of the seat plate and the foot plate of the high chair and the rocking rocker, several, namely three, parallel guide grooves 18 are shown, which allow a multi-stage, in this case three-stage, height adjustment.
- Such a multi-stage height adjustment using parallel guide grooves 18 can also be implemented for the table top and/or bench in order to be used as in Fig. 4 shown to be able to make a height adjustment.
- Multi-stage height adjustment is of course also the preferred option Fig. 1-5
- the system described is possible and is already shown in two stages for the seat and footrest surface of the high chair.
- a higher-level adjustment of this is also possible and/or a multi-level adjustment in the other positions C, D, G if the guideway is adjusted accordingly.
- Fig. 7 A further variant not according to the invention is shown, in which the panels 5, 6 must first be completely removed from the multi-purpose furniture 1 for conversion and then be inserted again.
- the side parts 2 have two holes 20 at each position where one of the plates 5, 6 can be attached.
- the plates 5, 6 have fastening elements 21 which protrude through holes 20 in the assembled state.
- each fastening element 21 can be a threaded bolt or a screw, which is screwed into the respective plate 5, 6 through the respective side part 2a, 2b.
- continuous fastening elements 21 in the form of threaded rods, bolts or screws can be used, which run through the entire plate 5, 6 and can be completely removed from it.
- the plates 5, 6 are placed between the side parts 2a, 2b and the continuous fastening elements 21 are then guided through the through holes in the side parts 2 and plates 5,6.
- the continuous fastening elements 21 can have a head or a nut already screwed on on one side and can be fixed with a lock nut on the other side.
- the adjustable element has two fastening elements 21 on each side, each of which protrudes into a hole 20 and at least two pairs of holes 20 for the fastening elements 21 are present to change the position are whose imaginary connecting lines have a different spatial orientation. The imaginary connecting lines are therefore not parallel.
- Fig. 7 an additional position H is shown, to which one of the plates 5, 6 or a specially constructed additional seat can be mounted in order to make the multi-purpose furniture 1 usable as a chair for large children up to adults.
- the position H could also be in the preferred variant Fig. 1-5 be provided for the guides 11, 12.
- 11, 12 of the Fig. 1-5 Holes 20 must be present at position H in order to provide a specially constructed additional seat there for later use of the multi-purpose furniture 1 after toddlerhood Fig. 7 to assemble the method described.
- the specially designed additional seat at position H could also be attached with guide grooves 18, as shown below Fig. 6 was illustrated.
- the panels 5 and/or 6 can also be completely removed from the multi-purpose furniture 1 and only one seat can be present at position H.
- the multi-purpose furniture 1 can also have rollers 22 or wheels, which are attached in the area of the two end regions 8a and 8b, and which protrude downwards over the end regions 8a and 8b when used as a high chair, so that the high chair rests on the two rollers 22 stands and not on the end regions 8a and 8b of the side parts 2a, 2b.
- the rollers 22 can be vertically adjustable when used as a high chair, so that the high chair stands either on the rollers 22 or on the end regions 8a and 8b.
- the rollers 22 can be mounted inside or outside the side parts 2a, 2b, or can be integrated into the side parts 2a, 2b.
- the rollers 22 are used to make it easier to move the high chair.
- the rollers 22 ensures that when a child pushes or pushes their feet away from a table or wall, the chair does not tip over backwards, but rather rolls back.

The present invention has the task of providing a multi-purpose piece of furniture for children, which includes at least the function of a high chair and another, whereby the piece of furniture should be easily convertible and should be sufficient with just a few components or elements.
The task is solved by a multi-purpose piece of furniture according to
A multi-purpose piece of furniture is proposed which has the high chair function and, by turning it over to another side, at least one further function is selected from the group: rocking rocker; table with bench; Stairs; toy vehicle; has, wherein the multi-purpose furniture has two side parts and at least two connecting elements which rigidly connect these side parts at two positions, with at least two separate and independently adjustable elements being present between the side parts, each of at least two adjustable elements being adjustable independently of the other Element is adjustable at least between two positions between the side parts (2a, 2b) and the spatial orientation of the respective adjustable element in one of the positions differs from the spatial orientation of the respective adjustable element in another position.
For these positions, the respective adjustable element experiences a translational movement and a rotational movement starting from the first position to reach the second position. The spatial orientation of the adjustable element in two positions is different if, in addition to a translational movement, a rotational movement is also necessary to reach the other position.
During a purely rotational movement around a pivot point, the pivot point remains in place while all other points of the adjustable element are moved along a circular path. In a purely translational movement, all points of the adjustable element are moved by the same distance.
In the present invention, the adjustable elements are not adjusted by pivoting about one or more rotation or pivot axes. The adjustable elements are adjusted independently of each other, by moving one or both adjustable elements along at least one respective non-circular guideway, or by removing one or both adjustable elements from a respective first predefined position and reinserting them at a respective second predefined position between the side parts , wherein the spatial orientation of the adjustable element in the first predefined position differs from the spatial orientation of the adjustable element in the second predefined position. In other words, the respective adjustable element in the first predefined position is not parallel to the same adjustable element in the second predefined position.
Preferably, one of the rigid elements is designed as a backrest of the high chair, with the first of the at least two adjustable elements being designed as a first plate and forming the seat of the high chair in a first position when used as a high chair and in a second position also when used at least in another way an element selected from the group: seat when used as a swing; Seat when used as a table or toy vehicle; Lower step when used as a staircase, whereby a translational movement and a rotational movement are necessary starting from the first position to reach the second position.
The adjustable elements are preferably flat elements, such as flat plates or slightly curved two-dimensional elements.
At least one of the connecting elements is preferably designed as a rod.
This connecting element is particularly preferably the backrest of the high chair.
Preferably, one of the adjustable elements is the seat of the high chair, which can be fixed in a first position in an at least approximately parallel orientation to the floor when the furniture is used as a high chair, and can be fixed in a second position when used for a second time, the orientation of the seat being in The two positions are different, with the change in the orientation of the seat preferably taking place to an extent of greater than 45°.
Preferably, one of the adjustable elements is the foot support surface of the high chair, which can be fixed in a first position in an at least approximately parallel orientation to the floor when the furniture is used as a high chair, and can be fixed in a second position when used for a second time, the orientation of the foot support surface being in The two positions are different, with the change in the orientation of the foot support surface preferably occurring to an extent of greater than 45°. The change in the orientation of the adjustable elements is preferably carried out in that the two side parts each have at least one guide per adjustable element, the adjustable elements being movable along these guides.
The side parts preferably have at least approximately the shape of a small ypsilon, i.e. a y-shape. Each side part is preferably a plate which has three arms, each with a rounded end, with the three rounded ends of each of the two plates forming the legs of the furniture. The corresponding ends of the two plates each form a pair of legs, with a first and a second pair of these legs standing on the floor when used as a high chair and one of these pairs standing on the floor with the third pair when used a second time.
Preferably, the two ends of each plate, which form the first and second pair of legs, are connected to each other by a curve curved towards the center of the plate, so that the high chair only stands with the legs on the ground.
The two ends of each plate, which form one of the first two pairs of legs and the third pair of legs, are preferably connected to one another by a curve curved towards the center of the plate, so that when the furniture is turned over to another side, it only has these legs stands on the ground.
Preferably, the two ends of each panel, which form one of the first two pairs of legs and the third pair of legs, are connected to each other by a curve curved away from the center of the panel, so that when the furniture is placed on this side, it is connected to the curved sides of the panels rests on the ground so that a rocking function is realized.
In addition to the function of a children's high chair, the multi-purpose furniture preferably includes at least one or preferably all of the following functions: rocking rocker; Children's table with bench; Vehicle; stair ladder; storage shelf; Small chair.
The functionality and ergonomics of the furniture are advantageously designed through a specific course of the side edges of the two side parts of the furniture. By turning the piece of furniture by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and also turning and positioning the adjustable elements, the piece of furniture takes on the functions of a children's high chair, a rocking rocker, a table with a bench or a stair ladder. When stored in different positions, it can also be used in a single piece of furniture as a storage shelf or as a small chair, and in a particularly advantageous manner no dismantling of the parts is required to carry out the respective function. The connecting elements preferably remain rigidly connected between the side parts, although these also assume other functions when the piece of furniture is turned over. The connecting elements can It can be screwed to the side parts in a specified position, or even permanently glued to them, depending on whether the furniture is to be fully assembled by the customer himself or already in the factory.
The movable parts preferably always remain connected to the side parts, that is, they are not removed from the piece of furniture in order to be reinserted in a different position, but rather they are fixed along the side parts by simply handling them, for example by loosening them Guides designed for this purpose in the side parts are moved and/or rotated and fixed at a different position on the side parts.
Each side part preferably has two guide tracks per adjustable element, with each adjustable element having guide elements protruding from the adjustable element on each of its two sides facing the side parts. One of these guide elements is guided in one of the guide tracks. The guide tracks are preferably designed in such a way that, when used as intended, the adjustable elements are held in this position in their intended fixation positions solely by gravity, in particular by the gravity of the person sitting or standing on them.
Both side parts are preferably equipped with two types of guideways for each adjustable element. On the one hand, guide tracks are incorporated on the inside of the side parts as recesses, which preferably do not extend to the outside of the side part, these serving to guide the first guide elements of the adjustable elements. Secondly, guide tracks are introduced into the side parts, which extend completely through the side part, these serving to guide second guide elements of the adjustable elements.
The adjustable elements have a pure guide element on each of their sides and preferably a guide element with a fixation option. The pure guide elements are preferably designed as pins, pins or bolts, and these can preferably be moved into the adjustable element against the action of an elastic part such as a spring. The guide elements with fixation option also have a pin, pin, bolt or threaded bolt, which protrude completely through the side parts and a fixation element is provided on the outside of the side part, for example in the form of a screw, plug and clamp closure. The guide elements and/or guide elements with a fixing option can in particular be threaded bolts which are screwed into a nut thread present in the adjustable elements, preferably into a threaded insert.
For example, if the piece of furniture is to be used as a rocking rocker based on the function of a children's high chair, the children's high chair is simply turned over by 90 degrees and placed on the side area with rocking runners. The movable part, which was used as a seat in the children's high chair, is moved to a different position, its orientation is changed, fixed and used again as a seat on the rocking rocker.
In the piece of furniture according to the invention, both side parts and the connecting fixed and movable parts fulfill a double or multiple function, with the respective function being one of itself results from the alignment of the piece of furniture and, on the other hand, from moving and re-fixing the moving parts.
The side parts are attached to each other using the fixed connecting elements and the adjustable elements. The side parts and the other elements can be provided with bores, holes, depressions and elevations in order to be able to attach additional objects to them to expand the functionality of the piece of furniture. For example, various children's toys such as rotating cubes, horse heads or steering wheels can be easily mounted and dismantled on the fixed or adjustable parts. For example, children's chairs, seat locks and/or table panels can be additionally mounted and dismantled on the moving parts. Furthermore, various wheels or rollers can be attached to the side parts to make moving the piece of furniture easier, or bands made of elastic material, for example rubber bands, can be attached to the edges. The side parts can be made from several pieces of material or from one piece of material. Due to its stability and visual appearance, it is preferred to build from a single piece of material, for example from a wooden, especially multi-layer board. All parts of the piece of furniture can also be made from any materials, such as plastic or metal, but preferably from wood or wood composite materials. The choice of material depends on the respective function or design. For example, if a high chair is made primarily of wood, the seat can be coated or padded with different materials. The seats or the moving parts can be reinforced in various ways on their edges and/or their surfaces or in their bodies by various materials such as metal, plastic, fiber materials or adhesive or paint. For example, bolts and screw connections made of metal or other materials can be attached to the moving parts.
