Abstract
The present invention is a handle and/or lock fastening system intended for doors and/or windows, or the like, the main feature of which is how quickly a handle can be placed on one of the aforementioned elements. The fastening system object of the present invention consists of rosettes (10) (3) which receive between them a main shaft (9) of a handle (1) or a lock, as well as of buttresses (4) (5) for fastening the handle (1) and/or lock. These rosettes (3) (10) rotate in the buttresses through intermediate plastic grooves (6) (7). The rotation of the locking rosettes is made with the aid of the mounting wrench (8).
Description
- The present invention falls within the scope of fastening systems intended for handles of doors or windows, hatches or the like, that is to say, for structures that have the function of opening and closing, taking into account that it is a system that allows a handle to be placed on a door or window, and its attachment to these structures.
- For most of the fastening systems for handles of doors and/or windows, the fitting of handles or locks on a door or window are effected frontally, as for example in the patent document
EP 2480739B1 . There are numerous systems for fixing handles and locks, with or without screws. However, there is no rotation fitting which allows for greater adhesion between components, leading to a more robust fit. This invention also provides ease and rapidity when putting a handle on a door, therefore requiring a shorter installation time in this type of work, which brings advantages to the professionals of this sector or even for individual users. - The present invention relates to a system intended for fastening a handle to doors and/or windows, or the like, the main advantage of which is the quick placement of a handle on one of the aforementioned elements. It was intended to achieve maximum speed in the installation of a handle in this type of elements, such as in doors and windows or alike, as well as to increase the safety of the said handles.

Figure 14 - illustration of the rotation for placing the handle (1). -
Figure 15 - illustration of the rotation for placing the lock, with the aid of the mounting wrench (8). - The present invention is a system for fastening handles and/or locks in doors and/or windows, or the like, the main function of which is to provide a quick placement of a handle on one of the aforementioned elements.
- The present invention has two main preferred embodiments, which have a common inventive concept since their components are exactly the same, the only difference being in that the element, for example the door, has or has not the means for receiving the posts of the buttresses (4) (5); therefore, throughout the description, and so that the functionalism of the invention and its potential are detailed, it is illustrated in the figures that the buttresses for the handle may have or may not have posts (4), and the buttresses for the lock may have or may not have posts (5), the said posts being no more than protrusions, and their existence or inexistence, involves using or not using, respectively, screws, for their proper attachment to the element where the lock or handle is to be put.
- In the case of the buttresses without posts (4), three screws will be required for fixing these components, for example to a door, as can be seen in
figure 12 . In contrast, the use of buttresses with posts (5) requires only "ASSA"-type screws for correct attachment, for example to a door, as can be seen infigure 13 . - In all cases, this is a preferred embodiment and not the essence of the present invention, which resides in the components of the rosettes, which may be with PZ (2), or oval (3) inlet, or otherwise, depending on the key inlet to be used or also in the handle rosette (10) which must be suitable for receiving the main shaft (9), commonly referred to as the cannon or pin.
- Each of the rosettes (2) (3) (10), whether on the left or right side of the door, or of a similar element, depending on the side for which the opening is intended, has on its lateral inner surface the fitting means into the outer perimeter surface of the intermediate grooves (6) and/or (7) .
- This engagement between the rosettes (2) (3) (10) is achieved by means of intermediate grooves (6) (7), which may have a suitable inlet for handle (6), or an oval inlet (7), and they shall be made of plastic material.
- These intermediate grooves, as shown in
Figures 1, 2 and3 , should be placed on the door surface, on the handle's inlet and in the key or oval inlet, respectively. The buttresses being aimed at strengthening the structure of the intermediate grooves (6) (7), it is in the intermediate grooves that the rosettes (2) (3) (10) engage by rotation, by suitable means which are provided for in the lateral inner surface thereof. - In case of placement of a handle (1), this rotation is achieved by the handle (1) itself. Once fastened the buttresses (4) (5) and the intermediate grooves (6) to both sides of the door, or similar element, by ASSA-type screws or by three screws, and once positioned on the main shaft (9), the handle (1) is placed on the main shaft (9) and through a rotation, preferably of 30°, the handle engages with the surface of the door, and is released, thereby locking it. After this fastening, it will be enough screwing the handle (1) to the main shaft (9), by suitable and known means, as illustrated in
figure 14 . - In the case of a PZ or oval key inlet, this rotation and the entire fitting procedure is carried out with the aid of the mounting wrench (8), as illustrated in
figure 15 . - As will be evident to a person skilled in the art, the present invention should not be limited to the embodiments described herein, with a number of changes and combinations being possible, the latter remaining within the scope of this invention.
