characterized in that the modular traffic sign (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000) comprises at least one adapter part (450, 460) for arrangement between the support post made of plastic and either the traffic sign (10, 30, 60, 90) or the attachment, as well as for arrangement between numerous traffic signs (10, 30, 60, 90), wherein the adapter part (450, 460) comprises, in its first end region, either an opening for receiving an end region of the segment (3, 7) of the support post (1, 5) having a polygonal or guide post-shaped cross section (Q), and wherein the cross section of this opening is formed such that the segment (3, 7) of the support post (1, 5) having a polygonal or guide post-shaped cross section (Q) is non-rotatably retained in the opening or it comprises a segment (461, 462) with a polygonal or guide post-shaped cross section and comprises, in its second end region, a segment (461, 462) with a polygonal or guide post-shaped cross section (Q). - Modular traffic sign (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000), in accordance with any of claims 1 to 3,
