Abstract

This is an article of clothing, in particular a jacket, with adjustable size so that it can be worn by people of different sizes.

Description

ARTICLE OF CLOTHING
SPECIFICATION
The present invention refers, in general, to an article of clothing. More particularly, it refers to a jacket of adjustable size so as to be worn by people of different sizes.
As known, when a firm or entity provides their employees or collaborators with work clothes, they shall keep not only all different kinds of clothing but also all sizes.
The firm or entity has to keep a large number of articles of clothing without being certain that they will be all used.
This problem is emphasized whenever the supply of work clothes has to be dealt with urgently.
Another issue relating to articles of clothing according to prior art, is their limited flexibility in terms of wearability.
For instance, in the case of a work jacket, for example a jacket for cooks, the wearability varies depending on the garments the user is wearing under the work jacket according to the different climate of the seasons.
A similar problem occurs when people who have to wear this jacket gain or lose weight, making it necessary to purchase a new article of clothing that fits.
Garments like those described in the patent documents JP 2003 027306,
WO 2012/054769 A2 and DE 296 12 814 U1 are also known.
One aim of the invention is to remedy the foregoing and further problems by creating an article of clothing, in particular a jacket, which can be worn by people of different sizes.
Another aim of the invention is to create an article of clothing, in particular a jacket, so as to allow a reduction of warehouse stocks of such articles and assure the same catchment area a regular supply.
A further aim of the invention is to provide an article of clothing, in particular a jacket, which can be used regardless of any weight change of the person who has to wear it, excellent wearability and appearance being still maintained.
These and other aims are all achieved, according to the invention, by an article of clothing, in particular a jacket, comprising a left front part; a right front part adapted to be coupled to the left front part through coupling means; a left back part, joined to the left front part in the upper; a right back part, joined to the right front part in the upper; a right sleeve joined to the right front part and to the right back part; a left sleeve joined to the left front part and to the left back part.
The jacket according to the invention provides that at least one of said left front part, right front part, left back part, right back part comprises a right portion with a first edge, and a left portion with a second edge.
Besides, an expansion piece is fixed to the first edge and to the second edge; the first edge and the second edge are at least partially joinable to each other through first junction means like a zipper.
Through such a jacket configuration, the jacket according to the invention can dress at least three adjacent standard sizes.
Further flexibility of use in terms of size of the item of clothing is obtained for the fact that the jacket according to the invention is made of an elasticized material.
Further features and details of the invention can be better understood from the following specification which is provided by way of a non-restricting example, as well as from the annexed drawing, wherein: Figure 1 is a schematic front view of an article of clothing according to the invention, namely a chef jacket;
Figure 2 is a schematic rear view of the article of clothing in Figure 1.
With reference to the annexed figures, number 10 denotes an article of clothing produced according to the invention, in particular a chef jacket.
The jacket 10 comprises:
- a left front part 12,
- a right front part 14 adapted to be coupled to the left front part 12 through coupling means 16;
- a left back part 18, joined to the left front part 12 in the upper;
- a right back part 20, joined to the right front part 14 in the upper;
- a right sleeve 22, joined to the right front part 14 and to the right back part 20;
- a left sleeve 24 joined to the left front part 12 and to the left back part 18.
As aforesaid, the left front part 2 and the right front part 14 can be coupled together.
In fact, as per known technique, the left front part 12 includes a right portion 26 that can partially overlap the right front part 14 so as to obtain a double- breasted jacket. Buttons 16 are therefore fixed on the right front part 14 and can be inserted into respective eyelets obtained in the right portion 26 of the left front part 12.
The left front part 12 includes the right portion 26 and a left portion 28.
The right portion 26 and the left portion 28 comprise a first edge 30 and a second edge 32, respectively, a first expansion piece 34 being fixed to the first edge 30 and to the second edge 32. Both the first edge 30 and the second edge 32 are provided with respective teeth (not visible in the figures) to be interlocked by means of a first slider 36 so as to form a left zipper 38.
The possibility of arranging the first edge 30 and the second edge 32 so as to be adjacent to each other by closing the left zipper 38 makes it possible to reduce the width of the left front part 12.
Vice versa, it is possible to enlarge the left front part 12 by opening the left zipper 38. In this way, the first expansion piece 34 can extend and the first edge 30 and the second edge 32 are distanced from each other.
Besides, the left zipper 38 includes also a second slider 40 so that the left zipper 38 itself can have closed portions and open portions and the width of the left front part 12 can be adjusted for distinct areas.
Like the left front part 12, the right front part 14 includes, in turn, a right portion 42 and a left portion 44.
The right portion 42 and the left portion 44 of the right front part 4 include a third edge 46 and a fourth edge 48, respectively, to which a second expansion piece, not visible in the figures, is fixed.
Both the third edge 46 and the fourth edge 48 are provided with respective teeth (not visible in the figures) to be interlocked by means of a third slider 50 so as to form a right zipper 52.
As said for the left front part 12, the possibility of arranging the third edge 46 and the fourth edge 48 so as to be adjacent to each other by closing the right zipper 52 makes it possible to reduce the width of the right front part 14.
Vice versa, it is possible to enlarge the right front part 14 by opening the right zipper 52. In this way, the second expansion piece can extend and the third edge 46 and the fourth edge 48 are distanced from each other.
Besides, the right zipper 52 includes also a fourth slider 54 so that the right zipper 52 itself can have closed portions and open portions and the width of the right front part 14 can be adjusted for distinct areas.
The left back part 18 includes a right portion 56 and a left portion 58.
The right portion 56 and the left portion 58 include a fifth edge 60 and a sixth edge 62 to which the first expansion piece 34 is fixed.
The fifth edge 60 and the sixth edge 62 are continuous to the first edge 30 and the second edge 32, respectively, of the left front part 12 and, since they are provided with respective teeth (not visible in the figures) to be interlocked by means of the first slider 36, the second slider 40 and the fifth slider 64, give a continuity to the left zipper 38.
Likewise, the right back part 20 includes a right portion 66 and a left portion
68.
The right portion 66 and the left portion 68 include a seventh edge 70 and an eighth edge 72, respectively, to which the second expansion piece, not visible in the figures, is fixed.
The seventh edge 70 and the eighth edge 72 are continuous to the third edge 46 and to the fourth edge 48 of the right front part 14 and, since they are provided with respective teeth (not visible in the figures) to be interlocked by means of the third slider 50, the fourth slider 54 and the sixth slider 74, give a continuity to the right zipper 52.
Hence, like the front parts 12, 14, also the back parts 18, 20 can be enlarged by opening the left zipper 38 and the right zipper 32.
In particular, the six sliders are free to run, three on one side and three on the other side, along the left zipper 38 and the right zipper 52, and can pass from the front part to the back part of the jacket 10.
The left back part 18, connected to the left front part 12 in the upper, and the right back part 20, connected to the right front part 14 in the upper, are shaped as the left front part 12 and right front part 14, with the significant difference that while the two front parts 12, 14 are separated and possibly coupled, both back parts 18, 20 have a common central portion corresponding to the right portion 56 of the left back part 18 and to the left portion 68 of the right back part 20.
Moreover, it is possible to enlarge the jacket 10 also in correspondence of the sides and the sleeves 22, 24.
In fact, in correspondence of the right union edge of the right front part 14 to the right back part 20, a first portion of a right side zipper 76 is present which allows to enlarge or tighten the jacket 10 on the right side through the action of a seventh slider 78.
In the event that such first portion of the right side zipper 76 is open, a first expansion strip connects anyway the right front part 14 with the right back part 20, but said strip allows a slight separation so that it is possible to enlarge the jacket 10 on said side.
The right side zipper 76 also includes a second portion that is arranged along the right sleeve 22 next to the first portion of the same right side zipper 76.
Said second portion of the right side zipper 76 allows to close or open a cut made in the right sleeve 22 longitudinally so as to enlarge or tighten the right sleeve 22.
When the second portion of the right side zipper 76 is open, a right expansion flap is allowed to unfold which is fixed to the two edges of the cut. As for the left part of the jacket 10, in correspondence of the left edge of union of the left front part 12 with the left back part 18, a first portion of a left side zipper 80 is present which allows to enlarge or tighten the jacket 10 also on the left side through the action of an eighth slider 82.
In the event that such first portion of the left side zipper 80 is open, a second expansion strip connects anyway the left front part 12 with the left back part 18, but said strip allows a slight separation so that it is possible to enlarge the jacket 10 on said side.
The left side zipper 80 also includes a second portion that is arranged along the left sleeve 24 next to the first portion of the same left side zipper 80.
Said second portion of the left side zipper 80 allows to close or open a cut made in the left sleeve 24 longitudinally so as to enlarge or tighten the same left sleeve 24.
When the second portion of the left side zipper 80 is open, a left expansion flap is allowed to unfold which is fixed to the two edges of the cut.
In other words, the second portion of the right side zipper 80 allows to coupling or uncoupling the edges of said cut.
The jacket 10 according to the invention is made with an elasticized fabric and allows to obtain further flexibility of use and comfort in terms of wearability.
A jacket 10 as previously described can cover three different adjacent sizes.
In other words, a first jacket according to the invention can cover sizes 42 to 46, a second jacket can cover sizes 48 to 52 and a third jacket can cover sizes 54 to 58.
It is therefore evident the saving in quantity of jackets that a company must preserve in order to meet the needs of users while ensuring a full coverage.
Besides, the jacket according to the invention allows to being adapted, even within the same size, to the different physical configurations of the user.
A skilled artisan may introduce changes or variants which have to be deemed as included in the scope of protection of this invention.
For example, the various expansion pieces of the jacket can be made with a perforated fabric that facilitates breathability and gives a breathable effect to the whole jacket.
