Description
The invention relates to a closure element for an underside connection to a door leaf, the closure element being designed as a profile.
Door leaves, in a version as a sectional door leaf or tilting door leaf, have a closing element as the lower end, this applies in particular if the door leaf in question also contains a door whose door leaf can be pivoted in the closed position of the door leaf. Such a termination element has at least one seal on the underside, directed towards the floor of the building. With movable door leaves, it is important that there are no open gaps between the door leaf and the floor in the closed position. Such gaps can arise, for example, in that, in the case of end elements lying flat on the floor in the form of sleepers, the area below the door leaf is not completely flat or stones are present.
The object of the invention is to design a closure element for the connection on the underside with a door leaf in such a way that an optimally possible sealing closure and stand-up for the door leaf can be achieved. The end element should have a large section modulus so that it can also be used for door leaves that contain a door, this applies in particular to barrier-free access.
The object of the invention is solved by the features of claim 1. The subsequent subclaims represent a further embodiment of the inventive idea.
A final element in the form of a profile, which can be mounted, for example, with the bottom panel of a sectional door leaf or a one-piece swing gate leaf, is characterized in particular by the fact that it can be inexpensively manufactured as a profile, preferably in a light metal design with a large section modulus. In cross-section, the profile has a straight upper side, which can be provided with a structure or with grooves running in the longitudinal direction, in order to ensure a slip resistance for people in connection with a door within the door leaf. In order to further guarantee barrier-free access in the area of the door, the end element, starting from the top, has side surfaces that slope away as boundaries. The total height of the end element is below 20mm, so that trip-free access via the end element is possible. The bevels from the top to the bottom in the area between the top and the side surfaces also apply for a safe transition over the end element. Following the side surfaces, on the underside, quasi parallel to the surface, there is a contact surface on each side of the end element available. There is a free cut between the two side contact patches so that only the contact patches can make contact with the ground and thus form a secure seal. This makes it clear that the contact areas have only a small width. The ratio of the width of each of the contact areas to the total width of the closing element of between 2.5% and 5% has proven to be sufficient. In a further preferred embodiment, it is possible for the width of the lower contact surfaces to also be between 2.5% and 15% of the width of the end element. It is also possible that the width of each of the contact surfaces can be between 2% and 25% of the total width of the end element.
Due to its essentially rectangular cross-section, the end element represents a component that has a large section modulus and is therefore inherently stable against twisting and at the same time ensures barrier-free access for people due to its low height.
In the cutout of the end element on the underside, further material cutouts are also present. For example, a recess is formed in the longitudinal direction of the entire end element. This recess is suitable for connecting the end element to the door leaf or components of the door leaf by means of screw connections. In an analogous training there is also a receiving channel. Bores can also be drilled in the base of the receiving channel, also for connection to the door leaf, in order to then mount the end element via screw connections. Such a receiving channel is also formed over the entire length of the end element and has a bottom opening in order to be able to use a sealing element. Furthermore, screw channels can be formed in the longitudinal direction of the end element in order to to fasten the end element, for example end plates or caps.

Furthermore, a
