Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a conductor connection comprising a plurality of conductors attached to one another.
  • the conductors are, for example, a stranded wire that is connected to a rigid connection element, for example a connection pin.
  • Such conductors are used, for example, in electrical components, in particular in inductive components.
  • conductors are electrically connected to one another by soldering or welding. Before the electrical connection is established, the conductors are mechanically fixed to one another. When connecting a litz wire to a connection pin, the litz wire is wrapped around the connection pin, for example. The fastening by winding often does not provide sufficient mechanical stability for the subsequent electrical connection. An additional mechanical fastening of the wires to one another is often time-consuming and costly.
  • the pamphlet GB 816 499 A describes a tubular connector for connecting a cable to a feed line. The cable and the supply line are inserted through openings in the connector.
  • the pamphlet WO 2013/039124 A1 describes a connection of a coaxial cable to a cable lug using a crimp element.
  • a conductor connection according to claim 1 is specified.
  • the conductor connection is, for example, part of a component.
  • the component is an inductance.
  • the connector has one or more openings.
  • the connecting piece has two openings.
  • the conductors each extend into the connector through one of the openings.
  • the conductors are attached to one another by means of the connecting piece.
  • the connector creates a press connection between the conductors.
  • Such a connection can also be referred to as a crimp connection.
  • the connecting piece is in particular a so-called “splice crimp”.
  • the connecting piece is designed as a metallic piece of tape bent around the conductor. To produce the conductor connection and the shape of the connecting piece, the metallic piece of tape is bent around the conductors that are arranged next to one another. The piece of tape is pressed against the ladder.
  • the connecting piece receives its shape, in particular a sleeve shape, only when it is formed around the conductor.
  • the piece of tape is, for example, made flat before the bending process.
  • lateral areas of the piece of tape overlap after the forming process. The overlapping of the lateral areas allows such a connector to be distinguished from a prefabricated sleeve such as a cable lug.
  • the connecting piece has a wall, the distance between the wall increasing from a longitudinal axis of the connecting piece towards the opening.
  • the increasing distance between the wall and the opening is present at least in a longitudinal section of the connecting piece.
  • the increasing spacing of the wall can also be designed to be circumferential.

  • a contour line runs linearly.
  • Such a shape of the connecting piece in the area of the opening can reduce the mechanical and thermomechanical stress on the conductors. This is especially the case when the shape of the connector is adapted to the course of at least one of the conductors in the area of the opening. In this way, friction between the connection piece and the conductor or a notch in the conductor due to the connection piece and thus mechanical damage can be avoided.
  • At least one of the conductors leads away from the longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the region of the opening.
  • the conductor runs at an angle to the longitudinal axis in the area of the opening.
  • the distance between the conductor and a longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the area of the opening can be greater than or equal to the distance between the wall and the longitudinal axis in the flat area. Usually such conductors are electrically connected to one another by soldering or welding.

The pamphlet GB 816 499 A describes a tubular connector for connecting a cable to a feed line. The cable and the supply line are inserted through openings in the connector. The pamphlet WO 2013/039124 A1 describes a connection of a coaxial cable to a cable lug using a crimp element.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a conductor connection with improved properties.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, a conductor connection according to claim 1 is specified. The conductor connection is, for example, part of a component. For example, the component is an inductance.

The connector has one or more openings.

In particular, the connecting piece has two openings. The conductors each extend into the connector through one of the openings. The conductors are attached to one another by means of the connecting piece. The connector creates a press connection between the conductors. Such a connection can also be referred to as a crimp connection.

The connecting piece is in particular a so-called “splice crimp”. The connecting piece is designed as a metallic piece of tape bent around the conductor. To produce the conductor connection and the shape of the connecting piece, the metallic piece of tape is bent around the conductors that are arranged next to one another. The piece of tape is pressed against the ladder.

The connecting piece receives its shape, in particular a sleeve shape, only when it is formed around the conductor. The piece of tape is, for example, made flat before the bending process. According to the invention, lateral areas of the piece of tape overlap after the forming process. The overlapping of the lateral areas allows such a connector to be distinguished from a prefabricated sleeve such as a cable lug.

The connecting piece has a wall, the distance between the wall increasing from a longitudinal axis of the connecting piece towards the opening. The increasing distance between the wall and the opening is present at least in a longitudinal section of the connecting piece. The increasing spacing of the wall can also be designed to be circumferential.

For example, a diameter and / or cross section of the connecting piece also increases towards the opening. The increasing diameter is present at least in a longitudinal section of the connecting piece. The connecting piece can also have a circumferential increasing diameter.

The connecting piece has, for example, an opening area which opens into the opening, the distance between the wall and a longitudinal axis increasing in the opening area. The connecting piece has, for example, a flat area in which the distance between the wall and the longitudinal axis is constant. In particular, the diameter and / or cross section is constant in the flat area.

The connecting piece has a concave shape, for example in the area of the opening, in particular in the opening area. In particular, a contour line of the connecting piece is concave. The course of the wall of the connecting piece in a longitudinal section is referred to as the contour line. For example, the connecting piece has a trumpet shape in the region of the opening.

Alternatively, the connecting piece can have a cylindrical shape, for example in the area of the opening, in particular in the opening area. In particular, a contour line runs linearly.

Such a shape of the connecting piece in the area of the opening can reduce the mechanical and thermomechanical stress on the conductors. This is especially the case when the shape of the connector is adapted to the course of at least one of the conductors in the area of the opening. In this way, friction between the connection piece and the conductor or a notch in the conductor due to the connection piece and thus mechanical damage can be avoided.

For example, at least one of the conductors leads away from the longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the region of the opening. For example, the conductor runs at an angle to the longitudinal axis in the area of the opening. In particular, the distance between the conductor and a longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the area of the opening can be greater than or equal to the distance between the wall and the longitudinal axis in the flat area. In the case of a completely flat connection piece, there would be a risk of mechanical damage to the conductor by the connection piece.

In one embodiment, at least one of the conductors has mechanical flexibility. For example, at least one of the conductors is designed as a wire, in particular as a stranded wire. The stranded wire leads away from the longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the area of the opening, for example.

For example, at least one of the conductors is designed as a rigid connection element. In particular, it can be a connection pin. The connection element also runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the connecting piece in the region of the opening, for example.

For example, one of the conductors is wound around another of the conductors in the region of the connecting piece. the Winding enables a defined arrangement of the conductors to one another during the attachment of the connecting piece.

In one embodiment, the connecting piece connects a stranded wire with a rigid connection element, in particular with a connection pin. The stranded wire can be wound around the connection pin in the area of the conductor connection.

The conductors each have a free end. The respective conductor is, for example, cut off at the free end. The free ends protrude, for example, from one of the openings or are arranged within the connecting piece. For example, the free ends are arranged in the area of the same opening. In such an embodiment, the free ends can also be soldered to one another particularly well.

Each of the conductors is, for example, part of a component or is connected to a component. In particular, the conductors can be connected to a functional part of a component. This can be an inductance, for example. The conductors extend, for example, coming from the component or functional part into one of the openings in the connecting piece. The conductors can extend into the same opening or into different openings.

In one embodiment, the connecting piece has two openings, the spacing of the wall from the longitudinal axis increasing towards both openings. In particular, the diameter and / or cross section of the connecting piece can increase towards both openings. The connecting piece can be formed as described above in the region of each of the openings be. For example, the connecting piece can have a cylindrical shape or a trumpet shape in the area of both openings.

The connecting piece has, for example, two opening areas which each open into one of the openings. A flat area can be formed between the opening areas. In the opening areas, the distance of the wall from the longitudinal axis to the opening increases. In the flat area, the distance between the wall is constant. The opening areas can be designed the same or different.

Such a shape of the connecting piece is, for example, particularly favorable for connecting conductors in which at least one of the conductors leads away from the longitudinal axis in the area of each opening.

In one embodiment, the connection of the conductors is made only by the connector. In an alternative embodiment, the conductors can also be soldered to one another. In one embodiment, the conductors can also be welded to one another. For example, a mechanical fastening of the conductors to one another is made by the connecting piece and the electrical connection is made by additional soldering or welding. Soldering or welding can also strengthen the mechanical connection.

According to a further aspect of the invention, a component with the previously described conductor connection is specified. It is in particular an electrical component, such as. B. an inductor.

The component has, for example, a functional part from which at least one of the conductors leads into an opening in the connecting piece. This is, for example, the opening towards which the distance between the wall and the longitudinal axis increases. The conductors can, for example, both come from the functional part and extend into the same opening.

According to a further aspect of the present invention, a method for producing the conductor connection described above is specified.

In the method, a flat piece of metallic tape is provided. The piece of tape is separated from a longer tape, for example. Two conductors arranged next to one another are provided. For example, one is the conductor is wrapped around the other conductor at least in some areas. The conductors can, for example, only rest against one another.

The piece of tape is bent around the two conductors so that the described conductor connection and / or the connecting piece is obtained. A press connection of the conductors is obtained by the connecting piece. The conductors are then cut off, for example in the area of one of the openings.

The conductor connection can have sufficient mechanical stability so that no further connection technology is required. Alternatively, an additional electrical and / or mechanical connection can be made after the press connection has been established. Such an additional connection is made, for example, by soldering or welding. The additional connection is made, for example, in the area of the severed ends of the conductors.

Several aspects of an invention are described in the present disclosure. In the following figures, the same reference symbols preferably refer to functionally or structurally corresponding parts of the various embodiments.

Figure 1 shows a conductor connection 100 comprising a connector 1 for connecting a plurality of electrical conductors 2, 3. The connector 1 is around the conductors 2, 3 bent around and creates a press connection of the conductors 2, 3.

The conductor connection 100 is part of an electrical component 5. One or both of the conductors 2, 3 lead from a functional part 4 of the electrical component 5 to the connector 1. The functional part 4 can be, for example, an electrical functional part of a component, for example a Inductance, or around a mechanical functional part, for example around a carrier.

Die Längsachse 6 entspricht beispielsweise einer Längsachse der Leiter 2, 3.The connecting piece 1 is designed as a metallic band piece 18 which is bent about a longitudinal axis 6. The longitudinal axis 6 is a central axis in the longitudinal direction of the connecting piece 1. The longitudinal axis 6 can represent an axis of symmetry of the connecting piece 1. The longitudinal axis 6 corresponds, for example, to a longitudinal axis of the conductors 2, 3.

To establish the connection, a flat piece of tape is cut from a metallic tape, bent around the conductors 2, 3 and pressed against the conductors 2, 3 in the process. This procedure is described in detail in conjunction with Figure 6 explained.

The conductors 2, 3 are thus mechanically connected to one another by the connection piece 1. The connection can have sufficient stability so that no soldering and no other, further connection technology are required. Alternatively, the conductors 2, 3 connected to the connecting piece 1 can additionally be connected to one another by soldering and / or welding. The connection by means of a connecting piece 1 is easier to establish, for example and more reliable than the connection by means of an additional wire wound around the conductors 2, 3.

Such a connector 1 is usually referred to as a "splice crimp". The connector 1 differs from a prefabricated sleeve into which one or more conductors are inserted. The present connection piece 1 receives its sleeve shape only during the deformation around the conductors 2, 3. The conductors 2, 3 are therefore not inserted into the connection piece 1. The connecting piece 1 is not formed in one piece with any of the conductors 2, 3.

The connecting piece 1 has, for example, copper, brass, bronze or other copper alloys as the material.

The first conductor 2 is, for example, a rigid connection element. For example, it is a connection pin, which is also referred to as a pin. The second conductor 3 is, for example, a bendable wire, for example a stranded wire. The stranded wire can comprise copper. The stranded wire has, for example, 2 to 5000 individual wires. The second conductor 3 is wound around the first conductor 2 at least in sections, for example.

Alternatively, the two conductors 2, 3 can also be the same type of conductor. Furthermore, more than two conductors 2, 3 can also be connected by the connecting piece 1. For example, several stranded wires and a connection pin are connected to one another.

The conductors 2, 3 lead, for example, starting from a functional element 4 of the component 5 into the connecting piece 1. The conductors 2, 3 each have a free end 9, 10, for example.

The connecting piece 1 has two openings 7, 8. The openings 7, 8 are formed on opposite end faces of the connecting piece 1. At least one of the conductors 2, 3 is led into and / or out of the connecting piece 1 into at least one of the openings 7, 8.

In the embodiment shown, each conductor 2, 3, starting from the functional element 4, first extends into the first opening 7. However, it can also be the case that the conductors 2, 3 extend into the connecting piece 1 from different openings. For example, the first conductor 2 coming from the functional element 4 extends into the first opening 7 and the second conductor 3, e.g. starting from a further functional element (not shown), extends through the second opening 8.

In the present case, both free ends 9, 10 protrude from the connecting piece 1 through the second opening 8. One or both free ends 9, 10 can also lie within the connecting piece 1. Furthermore, one or both free ends 9, 10 can protrude from the first opening 7 through which the conductors 2, 3 extend into the connecting piece 1. For example, the second conductor 3 extends through the first opening 7 into the connecting piece 1 and is bent over in such a way that its free end 9 protrudes again from the first opening 7.

The connecting piece 1 has a wall 11 whose distance a from the longitudinal axis 6 in the direction of the first opening 7 increases. Correspondingly, the contour of the wall 11 leads away from the longitudinal axis 6 in the direction of the first opening 7 in the longitudinal section. The connecting piece 1 can also have the increasing distance a from the wall 11 circumferentially.

Auch der Querschnitt des Verbindungsstücks 1 nimmt beispielsweise in Richtung der ersten Öffnung 7 zu.For example, the diameter D of the connecting piece 1 increases in the direction of the first opening 7. The connecting piece 1 has, for example, its largest diameter at the first opening 7. The cross section of the connecting piece 1 also increases, for example, in the direction of the first opening 7.

The connecting piece 1 has, for example, a first opening region 12 in which the contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis 6 is present. Furthermore, the connecting piece 1 has a flat area 13 in which the distance a of the wall 11 from the longitudinal axis 6 is constant.

Due to the increase in the distance between the wall 11 and the longitudinal axis 6, the mechanical stress on the conductors 2, 3 can be reduced and thus damage to the conductors 2, 3 can be prevented. The contour of the wall 11 of the connecting piece 1 is adapted to the course of the second conductor 3, for example. The opening area 12 is therefore not shaped as an insertion aid, but designed to prevent mechanical damage.

This is particularly advantageous in the case of a conductor 3 which runs away from the longitudinal axis 6 in the area of the first opening 7. The main direction of extent of the conductor 3 runs in the area of the opening 7 at an angle to the longitudinal axis 6. The conductor 3, for example, also leads away from the first conductor 2, which is parallel to the longitudinal axis runs. The main extension directions of the conductors 2, 3 therefore do not run parallel at least in the area of the first opening 7.

In particular, the distance 1 of the second conductor 3 from the longitudinal axis 6 in the area of the opening 7 increases towards the outside. The distance 1 in the area of the opening 7 can be, for example, equal to or greater than the distance between the wall 11 in the flat area 13.

The functional element 4 has, for example, only a small distance from the connecting piece 1. Thus, there is only a narrow gap between the connecting piece 1 and the functional element 4. For example, the distance d between the functional element 4 and the connecting piece 1 is less than or equal to 1 mm. In this case, the mechanical stress on a conductor 3 leading away from the longitudinal axis is particularly high. The adapted contour of the wall 11 of the connecting piece 1 prevents damage. This can, for example, also enable the component 5 to be used at higher temperatures.

Overall, the connecting piece 1 has, for example, an extension along the longitudinal axis 6 of a maximum of 30 mm. The extension along the longitudinal axis 6 is at least 1.5 mm, for example. The first opening region 12 has, for example, an extension t along the longitudinal axis 6 of 0.15% to 0.5% of the extension of the connecting piece 1.

The contour of the wall 11 is concave, for example. For example, the angle between the The contour line of the wall 11 and the longitudinal axis 6 towards the opening 7. For example, the connecting piece 1 has the shape of a trumpet at least in the area of the opening 7.

Alternatively, the contour of the wall 11 can also run linearly. In this case, the contour line of the wall 11 runs at a fixed angle to the longitudinal axis 6. For example, the connecting piece 1 has the shape of a cylinder at least in the area of the opening 7.

Instead of the first opening 7, the second opening 8 can also have a contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis 6. Furthermore, it can also be provided that both openings 7, 8 have a contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis 6. This is particularly advantageous if conductors protrude from the two openings 7, 8 and extend away from the longitudinal axis 6. Furthermore, when the two openings 7, 8 are formed with a contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis 6, the connecting piece 1 can be designed symmetrically, which simplifies the manufacture of the connecting piece 1 and enables more flexible use.

The connecting piece 1 has two lateral areas 14, 15 which overlap. In particular, the areas 14, 15 overlap in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 6, so that there the second area 15 is arranged above the first area 14. The overlap extends, for example, in the longitudinal direction over the entire connecting piece 1. A connecting piece 1 with such overlapping areas can easily be distinguished from a preformed sleeve.

The overlapping areas 14, 15 of the connecting piece 1 are in the present case in close contact with one another. This applies in particular to the flat area 13 of the connecting piece 1. In the opening area 12, the overlapping areas 14, 15 are not always in close contact, as is the case, for example, in FIG Figure 2 you can see.

Figure 2 shows a connector 1 and two conductors 2, 3 connected thereto in a front view. In particular, it is a plan view of an end face of the connecting piece 1. For example, it is an embodiment similar or identical to the embodiment of FIG Figure 1 .

Beispielsweise verläuft die Kontur der Wandung 11 dort parallel zur Längsachse 6.The connecting piece 1 has, for example, a contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis 6 in an area 16 in which the second conductor 3 leads into the opening 7. In a further area 17, which is opposite the area 16 as seen from the first conductor 2, for example, the connecting piece 1 can have a different contour. For example, the contour of the wall 11 runs parallel to the longitudinal axis 6 there.

Die Figuren 3 und 4 zeigen das Verbindungsstück 1 und die damit verbundenen Leiter 2, 3 der Figur 2 in verschiedenen perspektivischen Ansichten.the Figures 3 and 4 show the connector 1 and the conductors 2, 3 connected thereto Figure 2 in different perspective views.

The flexible first conductor 3 is partially wound around the rigid second conductor 2. The conductor 3 extends, for example, coming from a functional element 4 into the first opening 7 and out of the second opening 8. Beyond the second opening 8, the first conductor 3 is bent over, for example, and extends through the second opening 8 back into the connector 1. The end of the second conductor 3 is arranged in the connection piece 1.

Figure 5 shows the embodiment of Figures 2 to 4 in a plan view of the opening area 12 of the connecting piece 1.

In particular, the conductors 2, 3 can be seen here within the connecting piece 1. The conductors 2, 3 are pressed against one another. The flexible conductor 3 is partially deformed due to the compression. In particular, stranded wires of the flexible conductor 3 are deformed.

Figure 6 FIG. 11 shows a method step in the production of the conductor connection 100 according to FIG Figures 1 to 5 . In the process, the connecting piece 1 is bent around the conductors 2, 3 by means of a shaping device 19.

The conductors 2, 3 to be connected are arranged next to one another. For example, the second conductor 3 is wound around the first conductor 2. The conductors 2, 3 arranged next to one another are inserted into a holding part 20 of the shaping device 19.

A piece of metallic tape 18 is provided. The piece of tape 18 is, for example, flat at the beginning of the method. The piece of tape 18 is separated from a longer tape, for example a roll. The piece of tape 18 is inserted into a further holding part 21 of the forming device 19.

The shaping device 19 has one or more movable shaping parts 22, in particular movable punches. The formed parts 22 are moved towards the metal piece 18 and press lateral areas of the metal piece 18 downwards. Thus, the lateral areas wrap around the conductors 2, 3.

The formed parts 22 do not extend, for example, along a region 23 of the metal piece 18 from which the opening region 12 with the contour of the wall 11 leading away from the longitudinal axis is formed (see FIG Figure 1 ). In this way, the described contour is formed by the lack of action of the deformed parts 22. The deformed parts 22 act on a region 24 from which the flat region 13 is formed (see FIG Figure 1 ).

The shaping device 19 can have further movable parts for shaping the band piece 18 and for forming the press connection. The formed parts 22 can also be guided around the conductors 2, 3.

After being connected by the connecting piece 1, the conductors 2, 3 can be cut off on the other side of one of the openings 7, 8, in particular on the other side of the second opening 8. The conductors 2, 3 then have non-insulated ends that are easily accessible for soldering. This simplifies and shortens the soldering process. In addition, solder bridges are avoided.

Alternatively, after the connection, there is no additional connection, in particular no soldered or welded connection, so that the conductors 2, 3 are only connected to one another by the connection piece 1.

Figure 7 branches another embodiment of a conductor connection 100 with a connection piece 1 in a side, schematic view.

Insbesondere nimmt der Querschnitt des Verbindungsstücks 1 zu beiden Öffnungen 7, 8 hin zu.The connector 1 has in contrast to the connector 1 of Figures 2 to 5 two opening areas 12, 25, in which the distance a of the wall 11 from the longitudinal axis 6 to the respective opening 12, 25 increases. In particular, the cross section of the connecting piece 1 increases towards both openings 7, 8.

This is particularly advantageous in the event that conductors 3, 26 protrude from the two openings 7, 8 and lead away from the longitudinal axis 6 to the outside. It can be the same conductor or two different conductors. For example, the conductors 3, 26 are two flexible conductors, in particular stranded wires, which are connected to a rigid conductor 2 by the connecting piece 1.
