Definitions
- the invention relates to a rotatable cleaning roller according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a sweeping device with such a rotatable cleaning roller according to claim 9 and a method for producing such a rotatable cleaning roller according to claim 10.
- Cleaning devices are known from the prior art, which can be manually pushed over surfaces to be cleaned. Dirt is picked up during the relative movement between the cleaning device and the surface to be cleaned.
- a hand-operated hand cleaning device which, among other things, has a driven rotatable brush roller.
- the brush roller transports dirt into a directly adjacent dirt container.
- the brush roller is equipped with a plurality of tufts of bristles distributed over the circumference of the brush roller.
- cleaning rollers in self-propelled cleaning robots which move automatically over the surface to be cleaned.
- DE 10 2011 014 734 A1 is an automatic cleaning device disclosed for cleaning a floor surface.
- the cleaning device has a cleaning device which, for example, can be designed as a cleaning roller.
- cleaning rollers as brush rollers, which are provided in the area of their outer circumference with a set of radially outwardly protruding tufts of bristles. Compare e.g. EP 0 653 173 A1 .
- the flexible wings can, for example, be arranged in a spiral shape on a central shaft, as in FIG DE 39 33 722 A1 disclosed.
- Such a cleaning roller can be cleaned easily at regular intervals and quickly freed from long fibers, such as hair in particular, but the cleaning performance of the cleaning roller equipped with the flexible wings leaves something to be desired. Longer fibers, such as hair in particular, are not reliably picked up by such a cleaning roller.
- the U.S. 4,177,536 A shows a cleaning roller according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the web is not flexible but rigid.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to create a rotatable cleaning roller which enables a high cleaning performance during operation and which can be easily cleaned during breaks in operation. Another task is to further design the rotatable cleaning roller in such a way that long fibers and in particular hair, as well as animal hair, can be reliably picked up.
- the rotatable cleaning roller has a central shaft and a plurality of bristles are arranged on the shaft in at least one row.
- the bristles are attached to the shaft or in the shaft in tufts.
- each row of tufts is assigned at least one flexible web, the web being attached to the shaft in a radially protruding manner.
- the fastening can be designed with a form fit or material fit, for example by providing a groove in the roller or by gluing.
- the web is arranged directly adjacent to a row of tufts and extends only over part of the height of the bristles, in such a way that the web holds the tufts - particularly in their lower area - from one side contacted and supports.
- the bristles protrude radially from the web. Because the web rests against the tufts of bristles, the bristles are pushed next to one another in a row in such a way that a continuous bristle strip with a continuous sweeping line is created. This advantageously ensures that bristles directly adjoin one another and that dirt objects cannot get through between bristles. This means that dirt objects are reliably picked up by the bristles. It is also advantageous that no long fibers such as hair can be drawn in between the base of the bristles, ie the point at which they are received in the central shaft, and the upper edge of the flexible web. The elongated fibers are drawn in as far as the upper edge of the flexible web and can thus be easily removed from the rotatable cleaning roller by lifting or by cutting. This enables the rotatable cleaning roller to be cleaned quickly and easily during a break in processing.
- each row of tufts is assigned a further flexible web, which is attached to the central shaft in a radially protruding manner and only extends over part of the height of the bristles, such that the row of tufts from both sides be framed by a flexible bar.
- the tufts of bristles are particularly well supported, namely in their lower area, but still retain a high degree of flexibility in their upper area. This achieves particularly good sweeping behavior.
- the rotatable cleaning roller at least two rows of tufts are provided, with a radially protruding flexible sweeping lip on the shaft between the rows of tufts is long brought.
- the flexible sweeping lip can be made of an elastomer or a rubber.
- the provision of such a flexible sweeping lip between two rows of tufts advantageously contributes to the fact that dirt particles, namely longer fibers, are not wrapped around the rotatable cleaning roller during the rotation thereof.
- the at least one row of tufts and / or the at least one web extends essentially over the width of the roller. This means that there are no gaps through which dirt particles could pass.
- the at least one row of tufts and / or the at least one web and / or, if present, the sweeping lip are divided into two parts over the width of the roller and have different slopes, ie the first part is similar to a helical shape with a right-hand thread and the second part with a left-hand thread attached to the shaft.
- the advantage of the spiral arrangement of the cleaning elements is that instead of just short scrubbing movements, continuous and effective sweeping movements can be carried out.
- the invention also relates to the use of a cleaning roller as described above for cleaning a surface, for example a floor, from hair, in particular from animal hair.
- the invention also relates to a sweeping device, in particular a cleaning robot, with a cleaning roller as described above.
- the invention also relates to a method for producing a cleaning roller as described above with the following steps: In a first step, tufts of bristles are inserted and fastened, for example glued, into recesses provided for this in a shaft, that is to say a roller body, to form at least one row of tufts. In a second step, at least one flexible web per row of tufts is attached to the shaft, the web being arranged immediately adjacent to the row of tufts and the web contacting and supporting the tufts. The fastening can take place with a material fit and / or a form fit. A particularly simple manufacturing method is thus described which can also be applied to the known manufacturing methods for brushes and brush rollers.
- a rotatable cleaning roller 10 is shown in a view and in a partial section.
- the rotatable cleaning roller 10 is received by means of bearing elements 9 in a sweeping device not shown in detail.
- the cleaning roller 10 is set in rotation.
- the rotatable cleaning roller 10 consists of a first roller part 7 and a second roller part 8. Both roller parts 7, 8 extend over a width B of the roller 10.
- Each bristle strip 5 forms a continuous sweeping line.
- the rotatable cleaning roller 10 can also have only one roller part.
- bristle strips 4, flexible webs 5 and flexible sweeping lips 6 could also not be attached to the central shaft 1 in a spiral shape.
- the more detailed configuration of the rotatable cleaning roller 10 results from the sectional views of different embodiments of FIG Figures 2a, 2b and 2c .
- the illustrated embodiment of the rotatable cleaning roller 10 is bristles 3 attached to the central shaft 1.
- the bristles 3 each form tufts 2 which are arranged in a row.
- a flexible web 4 is arranged on one side and attached to the central shaft 1, which supports the tufts 2.
- the flexible web 4 extends only over part of the height of the bristles 3, so that the web 4, the tufts 2 in their lower Area contacted and supported from one side. While in Figure 2a only one row of tufts 2 is attached to the central shaft 1, several rows of tufts 2, for example two, three or four, could also be attached to the central shaft.
- the row of tufts 2 is also supported from one side by a flexible web 4.
- the flexible web 4 extends only over part of the height of the bristles 3.
- two further webs, likewise radially oriented, are provided. All webs 4 are formed in one piece by an element and can thus be quickly connected to the central shaft 1.
- the element of the webs 4 was glued onto the central shaft 1.
- the element with the webs 4 has a spring which can engage in a groove X in the central shaft 1.
- Tongue and groove are designed to be complementary, so that a particularly fast assembly of the element with the webs 4 on the central shaft 1 is made possible by sliding the element. While in the representation of Figure 2d only one row of tufts 2 is attached to the central shaft 1, several such supported rows of tufts 2 can also be attached to the shaft 1.
- a similar element which comprises the flexible webs 4. While a flexible web 4 of the element supports a first row of tufts 2 from the right side, another flexible web 4 of the element supports a next row of tufts 2 from the left. If the central shaft 1 is provided with four rows of tufts 2, for example, four of the elements shown can be fastened to the central shaft 1 with the flexible webs 4 and can thus support the respective rows of tufts 2 on both sides.
- the rows of tufts 2, the flexible webs 4 and optionally the flexible sweeping lips 6 can be attached in a spiral shape on the shaft.
- a groove XXX extending over the width B of the cleaning roller 10 can be provided, which is also attached in a spiral shape on the central shaft 1.
- Such a groove XXX is in Figure 3a shown. If the flexible webs 4 and possibly the flexible sweeping lips 6 are not to be attached in a spiral shape on the shaft 1, but rather have a straight arrangement, the associated groove XXX can also be straight, as shown in FIG Figure 3b is shown. From the sectional views of shaft 1 at position B. it results that four grooves XXX are provided, which are evenly distributed over the circumference of the central shaft 1.
- One-piece elements, which have flexible webs 4 are connected to the central shaft 1.

Description
The invention relates to a rotatable cleaning roller according to the preamble of

The object of the present invention is therefore to create a rotatable cleaning roller which enables a high cleaning performance during operation and which can be easily cleaned during breaks in operation. Another task is to further design the rotatable cleaning roller in such a way that long fibers and in particular hair, as well as animal hair, can be reliably picked up.
This object is achieved by a rotatable cleaning roller with the features of
The rotatable cleaning roller has a central shaft and a plurality of bristles are arranged on the shaft in at least one row. The bristles are attached to the shaft or in the shaft in tufts. According to the invention, each row of tufts is assigned at least one flexible web, the web being attached to the shaft in a radially protruding manner. The fastening can be designed with a form fit or material fit, for example by providing a groove in the roller or by gluing. The web is arranged directly adjacent to a row of tufts and extends only over part of the height of the bristles, in such a way that the web holds the tufts - particularly in their lower area - from one side contacted and supports. In other words: the bristles protrude radially from the web.
In an advantageous further development of the rotatable cleaning roller according to the invention, each row of tufts is assigned a further flexible web, which is attached to the central shaft in a radially protruding manner and only extends over part of the height of the bristles, such that the row of tufts from both sides be framed by a flexible bar. In this embodiment of the rotatable cleaning roller, the tufts of bristles are particularly well supported, namely in their lower area, but still retain a high degree of flexibility in their upper area. This achieves particularly good sweeping behavior.
In an advantageous embodiment of the rotatable cleaning roller, at least two rows of tufts are provided, with a radially protruding flexible sweeping lip on the shaft between the rows of tufts is long brought. The flexible sweeping lip can be made of an elastomer or a rubber. The provision of such a flexible sweeping lip between two rows of tufts advantageously contributes to the fact that dirt particles, namely longer fibers, are not wrapped around the rotatable cleaning roller during the rotation thereof. In a further development of the rotatable cleaning roller, the at least one row of tufts and / or the at least one web extends essentially over the width of the roller. This means that there are no gaps through which dirt particles could pass.
According to the invention, it was recognized that it is advantageous to attach the at least one row of tufts, the at least one web and, if applicable, the flexible sweeping lip, if present, to the shaft in a spiral shape, similar to a helical line with a low pitch.
In a further development of this embodiment variant, it can be provided that the at least one row of tufts and / or the at least one web and / or, if present, the sweeping lip are divided into two parts over the width of the roller and have different slopes, ie the first part is similar to a helical shape with a right-hand thread and the second part with a left-hand thread attached to the shaft. The advantage of the spiral arrangement of the cleaning elements is that instead of just short scrubbing movements, continuous and effective sweeping movements can be carried out.
The invention also relates to the use of a cleaning roller as described above for cleaning a surface, for example a floor, from hair, in particular from animal hair.
The invention also relates to a sweeping device, in particular a cleaning robot, with a cleaning roller as described above.
The invention also relates to a method for producing a cleaning roller as described above with the following steps:
In a first step, tufts of bristles are inserted and fastened, for example glued, into recesses provided for this in a shaft, that is to say a roller body, to form at least one row of tufts.
The described invention and the described advantageous developments of the invention also represent advantageous developments of the invention in combination with one another - insofar as this is technically sensible.
With regard to further advantages and embodiments of the invention which are advantageous in terms of construction and function, reference is made to the subclaims and the description of exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying figures.
