- the brakes 11 and 12 are also used in rescue situations and also in emergency braking situations to stop the elevator car 4 if an operational fault occurs, like in an overspeed situation of the elevator car. Further, they are used to protect elevator passengers from unintended car movement at the landing and to provide a safe operating environment for a servicemen who needs to enter to the inside the elevator shaft 5. Therefore it is necessary to ensure that the brakes are operating correctly.
- control arrangement 10 is configured to test operation of the at least one of the first 11 and second 12 brakes during a normal operation run of the elevator car 4.
- a "normal" operation run refers to a situation where the elevator car is available for ordinary passengers having a need to travel from one floor 13 of a building to another floor 14. Consequently, the tests may be carried out with passengers onboard while the elevator apparatus is in the normal operation mode and it is not necessary to set the elevator apparatus into a test mode, which is the case while maintenance personnel is at the installation site and carry out work with the elevator apparatus and have a need to temporarily take control of the elevator apparatus via a specific operator panel 15 in order to drive the elevator car in a test mode, for instance.
- the control arrangement 10 triggers only one of the at least first 11 and second brake 12 to brake when the elevator car 4 due to adjustment of the force F from the drive unit 3 has slowed down and arrived to a door 16 at a floor 14 in the elevator shaft 5.
- the elevator car 4 starts to open the door of the elevator car and the landing door 16 to release passengers from the elevator car.

Claims (7)
- Appareil d'ascenseur (1) comprenant :une machine de levage (2) avec une unité d'entraînement (3) entraînant une cabine d'ascenseur (4) dans une gaine d'ascenseur (5),au moins un premier et un second frein (11, 12) dimensionnés pour arrêter et supporter la cabine d'ascenseur (4) immobile dans la gaine d'ascenseur (5), etun agencement de commande (10) commandant le fonctionnement de la machine de levage (2) et des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12), dans lequel :
l'agencement de commande (10) est configuré pour tester le fonctionnement des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) en fonctionnement pendant les cycles de fonctionnement normaux de la cabine d'ascenseur en :déclenchant un seul (11) des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) pour freiner lorsque la cabine d'ascenseur (4) a ralenti et est arrivée à une porte (16) dans la gaine d'ascenseur (5),diminuant une force (F) fournie par l'unité d'entraînement (3) à la cabine d'ascenseur (4),surveillant le déplacement de la gaine d'ascenseur (4), etdéclenchant une indication d'un frein défaillant (11) dans le cas dans lequel le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur (4) est détecté alors que le frein (11) déclenché freine, dans lequel :l'agencement de commande (10) est configuré pour déclencher également l'autre (12) des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) pour freiner dans le cas dans lequel le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur est détecté pendant ladite surveillance,caractérisé en ce que :
l'agencement de commande (10) est en outre configuré pour augmenter la force (F) fournie de l'unité d'entraînement (3) à la cabine d'ascenseur (4) dans le cas dans lequel le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur est détecté pendant ladite surveillance. - Appareil d'ascenseur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'agencement de commande (10) est configuré pour empêcher d'autres cycles de fonctionnement normaux de la cabine d'ascenseur (4) après qu'une indication de test échoué a été déclenchée pour le même frein pendant un nombre prédéterminé de tests jusqu'à ce qu'une commande de contrôle prédéterminée soit reçue via une interface de service (15) de l'appareil d'ascenseur (1).
- Appareil d'ascenseur selon l'une des revendications 1 à 2, dans lequel l'agencement de commande (10) est configuré pour diminuer la force (F) fournie par l'unité d'entraînement en réduisant le couple (T) fourni par l'unité d'entraînement (3) .
- Appareil d'ascenseur selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel un ou plusieurs des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) est un frein d'une machine de levage (2).
- Appareil d'ascenseur selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel l'agencement de commande (10) est configuré pour tester chacun des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) en fonctionnement pendant que la cabine d'ascenseur fonctionne dans un fonctionnement normal différent.
- Appareil d'ascenseur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'agencement de commande est configuré pour réduire une force (F) fournie par l'unité d'entraînement (3) à la cabine d'ascenseur (4), lorsque l'autre (12) des aux moins premier et second freins (11, 12) a été mis en prise pour freiner la machine de lavage ou la cabine d'ascenseur.
- Procédé pour tester un appareil d'ascenseur, dans lequel le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes :initier un cycle de fonctionnement normal de cabine d'ascenseur en réponse à un appel d'ascenseur reçu via une interface utilisateur (21) de l'appareil d'ascenseur (1),déclencher le freinage avec un seul (11) d'au moins un premier et un second frein (11, 12) lorsqu'une cabine d'ascenseur (4) a ralenti et est arrivée à une porte (16) dans une gaine d'ascenseur (5),diminuer une force (F) fournie par une unité d'entraînement (3) à la cabine d'ascenseur (4),surveiller le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur (3),déclencher une indication d'un frein défaillant dans le cas dans lequel le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur a lieu alors que le frein (11) déclenché freine, etfreiner également avec l'autre (12) des au moins premier et second freins (11, 12) lorsque le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur a lieu pendant le freinage avec le frein déclenché,caractérisé en ce que le procédé comprend l'étape suivante :
augmenter la force (F) fournie par l'unité d'entraînement à la cabine d'ascenseur (4) lorsque le déplacement de la cabine d'ascenseur a lieu pendant le freinage avec le frein déclenché.
