Claims (10)

  1. Sleeve (23) for an end-to-end connection of two threaded bars (25, 26), comprising a substantially tubular steel body which is internally threaded, characterized in that the body is provided with a central rib (39) which extends along a circumference of the body, in that the central rib is uninterrupted, bordered on either side by depressions (30, 31), and has a variable width along the circumference, and in that the sleeve is traversed by a threaded longitudinal passage (22).
  2. The sleeve according to claim 1, wherein the depressions bordering the central rib extend along helical portions having for axis the longitudinal axis of the sleeve.
  3. The sleeve according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the body is provided with two uninterrupted end ribs (40, 41) each extending along a circumference of the body at one of the two longitudinal ends (75, 76) of the body, and each having a variable width.
  4. Connecting device (50) for an end-to-end connection of two threaded bars (25, 26), comprising a sleeve (20, 23) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, the connecting device further comprising one or two nuts (71) which is (are) provided with an annular portion (61) configured to bear against an end face (75, 76) of the sleeve.
  5. The device, according to claim 4, wherein the nut(s) (71) is (are) provided with a flared portion (62) extending from the annular portion (61).
  6. The device according to claim 5, wherein the flared portion (62) is substantially frustoconical.
  7. The device according to Claim 5 or 6, wherein the flared portion (62) is provided with indentations (63) at its periphery.
  8. A concrete reinforcing assembly comprising two steel reinforcing bars (25, 26) whose threaded ends (51, 52) are screwed into a steel sleeve (20, 23) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, the sleeve having asperities (27 to 34, 39 to 41) forged on its external face (60).
  9. The assembly according to claim 8, wherein the steel forming the sleeve has at least one mechanical characteristic distinct from that of the steel forming the reinforcing bars.
  10. The assembly according to claim 8 or 9, comprising two nuts (71) respectively screwed onto the threaded ends of the two bars and resting on the two longitudinal ends (75, 76) of the sleeve.
