• the present invention relates to a shoe or more generally to a shoe adapted to be worn by a patient in the post-operative period following surgery to the foot, such as "hallux valgus" surgery.
• Known shoes specific to this type of application are usually of the sandal type, or open as they are more easily adaptable to the swollen and bandaged foot as one that just had surgery. In general, they have Velcro fastenings, to be easily wearable and an oversized vamp and sole with respect to traditional shoes, precisely in order to be worn with swollen and bandaged foot.
