Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing an (electronic) support frame of a hearing aid for receiving and holding electrical and electronic assemblies.
- the invention further relates to a support frame produced by such a method and to a hearing aid provided with such a support frame.
- Hearing aids are portable hearing aids that are used in particular to care for hearing impaired or hearing impaired people.
- different types of hearing aids such as behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTE) and hearing aids with an external handset (RIC: receiver in the canal) and in-the-ear hearing aids (ITE) are available
- BTE behind-the-ear hearing aids
- RIC receiver in the canal
- ITE in-the-ear hearing aids
- Example also provided concha hearing aids or channel hearing aids (ITE: In-The-Ear, CIC: Completely-In-Channel, IIC: Invisible-In-The-Channel).
- the hearing aids listed by way of example are worn on the outer ear or in the auditory canal of a hearing aid user.
- Bone conduction hearing aids, implantable or vibrotactile hearing aids are also available on the market. The damaged hearing is stimulated either mechanically or electrically.
- hearing aids have an input transducer, an amplifier and an output transducer as essential (hearing aid) components.
- the input converter is usually an acousto-electrical converter, such as a microphone.
- the output transducer is mostly an electro-acoustic transducer, for example a miniature loudspeaker (handset), or an electromechanical one Transducers, such as a bone conduction receiver, realized.
- the amplifier is usually integrated in a signal processing device. Power is usually supplied by a battery or a rechargeable battery.
- Hearing aids of this type also have, for example, an electromagnetic receiver, for example an antenna element as an RF antenna, by means of which the hearing aid can be coupled in terms of signal technology, for example to an operating element (remote control) and / or to a further hearing aid.
- an electromagnetic receiver for example an antenna element as an RF antenna
- the hearing aid can be coupled in terms of signal technology, for example to an operating element (remote control) and / or to a further hearing aid.
- the same antenna element is used for sending and receiving data for reasons of space.
- Hearing aids are preferably designed to be particularly space-saving and compact, so that they can be worn visually as inconspicuously by a hearing aid user.
- increasingly smaller hearing aids are being produced which are increasingly comfortable to wear and are therefore hardly perceived by a user when worn on or in an ear.
- Hearing aids with a supporting frame with two frame halves that can be assembled to hold and accommodate the electrical or electronic assemblies or components within a (device) housing are conceivable.
- Support frames or frame halves of this type are designed, for example, as injection-molded MID components (MID: Molded Interconnected Devices).
- MID Molded Interconnected Devices
- Such a supporting frame as a circuit carrier can be produced, for example, from a plastic material that can be directly structured by laser, so that the antenna element can be integrated into the supporting frame itself, in particular by means of laser direct structuring (LDS) as an electrically conductive structure.
- LDS laser direct structuring
- the frame halves of the support frame are thus essentially each formed as an injection-molded circuit carrier, into which an electrical conductor track or microstrip line is introduced as an antenna element or antenna structure.
- a thermoplastic is doped with a (non-conductive) laser-activatable metal compound as a plastic additive to produce the support frame or its frame halves.
- the or each frame half is produced from this plastic material by means of a one-component injection molding process.
- the subsequent conductor track or microstrip line of the antenna element is then written onto the plastic of the frame half with a laser beam, the plastic additive being activated.
- the activated areas are then locally provided with an electrically conductive metallization as a microstrip line or conductor track.
- Such plastic materials suitable for LDS disadvantageously have comparatively poor mechanical properties.
- the mechanical stability is adversely affected when the size of components manufactured in this way is reduced.
- This is to be critically assessed, in particular in the area of mechanically stressed component locations, for example for mutually fastening the frame halves to one another.
- WO 2014/090419 A1 discloses a known hearing aid with an antenna device and a method for producing a corresponding antenna device.
- the invention has for its object to provide a particularly suitable method for producing a support frame of a hearing aid.
- the support frame should be suitable for LDS and at the same time have the highest possible mechanical stability.
- the invention is also based on the object of specifying a support frame produced by such a method and a hearing aid device provided with such a support frame.
- the method according to the invention is suitable and designed for producing a support frame for a hearing aid device.
- the supporting frame is expediently formed from two frame halves which can be assembled and which are provided and designed to receive electrical and electronic assemblies of the hearing aid device and to hold or fix them in one position.
- the assemblies are preferably components of the hearing aid.
- the modules in this case comprise a transmitting and / or receiving unit for electromagnetic waves.
- electromagnetic waves are to be understood in particular as radio signals, also referred to as RF signals.
- the transmitting and / or receiving unit is assigned an antenna element for sending and / or receiving the RF signals, which is integrated into at least one of the frame halves.
- the antenna element is an integral component of the or each frame half. This means that the antenna element is essentially not detachable from the respective frame half, and the outer contour of the respective frame half does not protrude significantly.
- the support frame is produced in a two-component injection molding process (two-component process) with a first plastic material suitable for laser direct structuring (LDS) and with an electrically non-conductive second plastic material, which is a has increased mechanical stability compared to the first plastic material.
- LDS laser direct structuring
- the support frame is thus produced as a two-component injection molded part, the mechanical stability of the support frame being advantageously improved by the mechanically more stable second plastic material. This makes it possible to reduce the overall size and thus the overall size of a hearing aid provided with it, without adversely affecting the mechanical stability of the supporting frame.
- the second plastic material is used to produce a mechanically stable frame structure of the or each half of the frame, to which the first plastic material is applied to form a surface that can be directly structured by laser.
- the frame structure ensures a particularly high mechanical stability of the respective frame half, in particular in the area of connection or fastening points for mutual fastening of the frame halves.
- the antenna element is produced by means of a laser direct structuring of the first plastic material of the respective frame half, in particular the surface, or is integrated into the respective frame half / surface.
- a particularly expedient and cost-effective functional integration of the antenna element into the support frame is thereby achieved.
- the first plastic material has a higher dielectric (relative) permittivity than the second plastic material.
- this is advantageously transferred to the antenna power and / or the antenna length of the antenna element.
- the increased permittivity has a particularly advantageous effect on a reduction in the antenna length required.
- An additional or further aspect of the invention provides a support frame of a hearing aid device produced by such a method. This results in a mechanically stable support frame, which is suitable and set up for an LDS at the same time.
- the support frame according to the invention is part of a hearing aid.
- the support frame is preferably inserted in a housing, so that the antenna element and the modules are protected against external influences.
- Fig. 1 only the essential elements and components of a hearing aid 2 are shown without faithfully reproducing their position, connections or shape.
- Hearing aid 2 shown is a hearing aid 2 for wearing behind the ear.
- the invention is also conceivable for in-the-ear hearing aids, which then results in a correspondingly different arrangement of the components shown.
- the hearing aid 2 has a shell-like (device) housing 4 made of plastic, into which a support frame 6 is inserted.
- the support frame 6 is a two-component injection molded plastic part.
- the support frame 6 is generally used to hold electrical and electronic assemblies of the hearing aid 2 and to fix and hold these assemblies within the housing 4 in certain positions relative to one another.
- one or more microphones 8 are arranged in the support frame 6 for recording ambient sound (that is, an acoustic signal).
- a printed circuit board (PCB) is folded into the supporting frame 6 and carries at least part of the said electrical or electronic components.
- the microphones 8 are acousto-electrical converters for converting the acoustic sound into electrical audio signals.
- a signal processing device 10 which is also integrated into the housing 4, is provided for processing these audio signals.
- the output signal of the signal processing device 10 is transmitted to a loudspeaker or receiver 12, which emits an acoustic signal as an electro-acoustic transducer.
- the output sound is optionally transmitted to a tympanic membrane of the hearing aid user via a sound tube, which is fixed or can be fixed in an auditory canal of a hearing aid user with an otoplastic.
- the power supply of the hearing aid 2 and in particular that of the signal processing device 10 is provided by a battery 14 which is also integrated into the housing 4.
- the signal processing device 10, earpiece 12 and battery 14 are likewise arranged in the support frame 6, so that the support frame 6 with the components arranged therein simply does so Housing 4 can be removed, for example, to be able to replace the housing 4.
- the signal processing device 10 is designed and set up for processing electromagnetic waves.
- the signal processing device 10 has a transmitting and receiving device (transceiver) 16 for generating and detecting electromagnetic waves and / or for decoding them on.
- the transmitting and receiving device 10 is electrically connected to an antenna element 18 in order to transmit and receive electromagnetic waves.
- the antenna element 18 designed as an RF antenna is designed as an integral part of the support frame 6, in particular as a conductive structure integrated in the support frame 6.
- the antenna element 18 is - as for example in FIG Fig. 2 can be seen - applied directly to the support frame 6. It is therefore not spaced from the surface and cannot be detached from the support frame 6 without being destroyed.
- the antenna element 18 is applied in particular to the support frame 6 using MID technology.
- MID technology For this purpose, laser direct structuring (LDS) is used.
- LDS laser direct structuring
- the microstrip lines or conductor structures applied superficially to the support frame 6 are then optionally electrically insulated by a protective lacquer or coating and thus protected from damage.
- the support frame 6 is divided longitudinally along a division plane oriented along the longitudinal direction of the hearing aid into two shell-like frame halves 20 and 22.
- the frame halves 20 ( 2 and 3 ) and 22 ( 4 and 5 ) are connected here after inserting the modules contained therein by clipping, screwing, gluing and / or by means of retaining pins.
- the assemblies are thus at least partially held in a form-fitting manner in recesses (not specified) between the frame halves 20 and 22.
- the 2 and 3 show the frame half 20 in two exemplary embodiments with a view of an outer side 24 of the support frame 6.
- the outer side 24 in the assembled state is that surface of the frame half 20 which faces the housing 4.
- the antenna element 18 is arranged on the outside 24, that is to say on the lateral surface of the support frame 6.
- the support frame 6 or the frame halves 20 and 22 are produced as two-component injection molded parts from two plastic materials.
- a mechanically stable frame structure 26 and 28 is in this case made of a mechanically stable plastic material which, for example, has a 5 to 20% share of glass fibers.
- the frame structure 26, 28 in this case forms the contours of the frame halves 20 and 22 necessary for receiving and holding the assemblies and for mutual fastening.
- the frame structure 26 or 28 is then extrusion-coated at least in sections by the second plastic material.
- the second plastic material is designed as an LDS-suitable MID plastic.
- the frame structure 26, 28 essentially forms the inner part of the support frame 6, the surface 24 applied thereon being made from the LDS plastic.
- the plastic materials of the support frame 6 preferably have a significantly higher permittivity than the plastic material of the housing 4. It has been shown that the increased permittivity of the frame material due to dielectric interaction with the electromagnetic field generated and received by the antenna element 18 enables a decisive shortening of the antenna length ,
- the frame half 20 is shown.
- the LDS-made antenna element 18 is applied to the outside surface 24.
- an eyelet or annular fastening surface 30 of the frame structure 26 of the frame half 20 is visible, which is designed, for example, for pinning with the housing 4 and / or with a battery compartment for holding the battery 14 and / or with the frame half 22.
- two holding arms 32 of the frame structure 26 designed as latching arms or hooks, which Ensure on / off functionality of the battery compartment in the joining or supporting frame condition.
- the Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the frame half 20 without the antenna element 18.
- the areas of the frame structure 26 of the frame half 20, that is to say the parts of the support frame 6 made of the mechanically more stable plastic material, are provided with hatching for improved visibility.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show the inside of the frame half 22 with a view of the frame structure 28 in two conceivable embodiments.
- the laser direct structurable outer side 24 is hatched, and the frame structure 28 is not shown hatched.
- the compartments and receptacles formed by the frame structures 26 and 28 for holding the assemblies are comparatively clearly recognizable.
- an inside surface 34 is provided with the LDS plastic material.
- the LDS plastic material here preferably has a higher dielectric permittivity than the plastic material of the frame structures 26 and 28.
- the in Fig. 5 hatched surface 34 is made of a third plastic material with a comparatively high permittivity.

Description

Fig. 2 ersichtlich - unmittelbar auf dem Tragrahmen 6 aufgebracht.
Fig. 2 ist die Rahmenhälfte 20 dargestellt.
