Description

  • The present invention refers to an intrusion-preventing device, arranged in the wall recess of an external frame of a building.
  • Nowadays, buildings, in addition to performance requirements, must have intrusion-preventing safety standards.
  • Within such context, mechanical safety systems are known, such as armored doors and related safety locks, armored windows and roller screens, fencings and gates.
  • Wired or wireless anti-theft systems are also known, with detecting systems of the types with magnetic contacts, infrared or ultrasound sensors.
  • It is further possible to understand how it is important to join different solutions and technologies, such as for example mechanics and electronics, without completely relying on a single safety system, since different solutions and technologies require different tools and skills to be violated.
  • However, the adoption of such arrangements and remedies, aimed to contain the risk of intrusions, not always can bring about good results in terms of prevention, and at the same time has higher costs and complications for a owner.
  • Known intrusion-preventing bars improve the safety of buildings, since they increase the closure points providing an obstacle to a break-through; moreover,, being fastened to frames, in walls and/or in floors, they keep the frames in position also in case of attempts to unhinge.
  • In particular, the following types of intrusion-preventing bars are known in the art:
    • a fixed bar, which is horizontally installed, such as for example the known Viro fixed bar, composed of a latch which engages recesses in a wall or fastened to a wall; it is actuated by a round cylinder with six small pistons, having an external protection against break-through and drills;
    • a universal bar, which can be installed both in a horizontal position and in a vertical position, and can be shortened or extended at the desired size with a suitable kit, such as for example known Viro, Blindo-sbarra or Mul-t-lock universal bars. DE-U1-20 2009 012959 , US-A-5 259 821 and US-A1 2010/170170 disclose other prior art intrusion preventing systems.
  • However, it is clear that the installation of the above intrusion-preventing bars needs fastening screws to be inserted, by making holes, on the frame itself, which therefore results disfigured, moreover not guaranteeing a high degree of intrusion prevention and stability of the bars. Moreover, known universal bars are equipped with a system for adjusting the bar length which is not efficient, not allowing a fine regulation of the bar length depending on the frame sizes.
  • An electronic universal bar is also known, which joins the safety features of the mechanical version with an intrusion-preventing vibration sensor, a GSM telephone switch and an environmental listening microphone; the movement sensor embedded in the frame detects possible attempts of intrusion and, simultaneously, sends messages to stored telephone numbers.
  • A low-voltage intrusion-preventing bar is also known, the Security Blind, which can be actuated with a remote control for opening and closing the bar itself, which has not any lock.
  • However, the known universal bar and intrusion-preventing Security Blind bar, in addition to having the problems of the above fixed bars and universal bars, require more maintenance deriving from the presence of electronic devices.
  • Therefore, object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing an intrusion-preventing device which is simple, efficient and stable, arranged in the wall recess of an external frame of a building, which allows being quickly installed and uninstalled, and which provides an immediate signaling of a possibile intrusion for people which are inside a house or other room protected by the device itself.
  • A further object of the present invention is providing an intrusion-preventing device equipped with a fastening system adapted to confer stability and efficiency to such intrusion-preventing device, without fastening it to the internal surface of the frame.
  • A final object of the present invention is providing an intrusion-preventing device capable of being efficiently adapted to all sizes of a plurality of external frames.
  • The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained by an intrusion-preventing device as claimed in Claim 1. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are claimed in the dependent Claims.
  • It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present disclosure.
  • It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) could be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the enclosed claims.
  • The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, given as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
    • Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional view of the intrusion-preventing device according to the present invention;
    • Figures 2 and 4 show a threee-dimensional view of the fastening system of the intrusion-preventing device according to the present invention;
    • Figures 3 and 5 show a three-dimensional view of a part of the fastening system of the intrusion-preventing device according to the present invention; and
    • Figures 6 and 7 show a three-dimensional view of the intrusion-preventing device connected to the wall recess of the frame according to the present invention.
  • As shown in the Figures, an intrusion-preventing device 1 according to the present invention, for at least one frame 2, is composed of a fastening system, adapted to connect the intrusion-preventing device 1 to a wall recess 3 for housing the frame 2, such as, for example, a door, or a main door, or a gate, or a window frame, or other similar one; and of a central element 5, adapted to allow the intrusion-preventing device 1 to be suited to the sizes of the wall recess 3 of the frame 2.
  • In particular, the wall recess 3 is adapted to receive the frame 2, and comprises: a horizontal component 12, such as, for example, a lintel, or a platband, or an arch; a first vertical component 6a, such as, for example, a jamb, or a shoulder, or a pier, whose upper end is connected to a first end of the horizontal component 12; and a second vertical component 6b, such as, for example, a jamb, or a shoulder, or a pier, whose upper end is connected to a second end of the horizontal component 12.
  • Moreover, the fastening system 2 is composed of:
    • a first component 8a, such as, for example, a threaded bush, or other similar component, equipped on its front with a room adapted to house a first connecting element 4a, such as, for example, a male peg, and on its rear with an end, preferably equipped with a threaded surface, adapted to be connected, through restrain, mechanical, chemical or other suitable fastening, to a first hollow housing element 9a arranged horizontally inside the first vertical component 6a of the wall recess 3;
    • a second component 8b, such as, for example, a threaded bush, or other similar component, equipped on its front with a room adapted to house a second connecting element 4b, such as, for example, a male peg, and on its rear with an end, preferably equipped with a threaded surface, adapted to be connected, through restrain, mechanical, chemical or other suitable fastening, with a second hollow housing element 9b arranged horizontally inside the second vertical component 6b of the wall recess 3; and
    • one or more blocking elements 10, such as, for example, a tongue with prong, or other suitable one, each equipped with a projection on the lower surface of a first end.
  • The fastening system is adapted to position the intrusion-preventing device 1 in the wall recess 3, and not on the surface of the frame 2 like known devices, conferring stability and efficiency to the intrusion-preventing device 1.
  • The central element 5 is composed of:
    • an internal tubular element 5b, equipped at an end with the second connecting element 4b, adapted to be strictly coupled with the second component 8b of the fastening system, and on the external surface with a plurality of holes adapted to connectingly receive the projection placed on the lower surface of the first end of each blocking element 10;
    • an external tubular element 5a, equipped at an end with the first connecting element 4a, adapted to be strictly coupled with the second component 8a of the fastening system, wherein the external tubular element 5a is adapted to coaxially receive the internal tubular element 5b so that it telescopically slides inside the external tubular element 5a; and
    • a fastening element 7, such as, for example, a band with grooved profile, or other similar one, arranged at an end of the external tubular element 5a, equipped on the external surface with a plurality of housings adapted to connectingly receive a second end of each blocking element 10.
  • Advantageously, the intrusion-preventing device 1 can be suited to the size of the wall recess 3 of the frame 2, and/or of the frame 2 through a dimensioning of the central element 5 obtained with the telescopic sliding of the internal tubular element 5b inside the external tubular element 5a, and with the connection of the internal tubular element 5b with the external tubular element 5a, through the action of one or more blocking elements 10.
  • In particular, each blocking element 10 is adapted to connect the internal tubular element 5b with the external tubular element 5a in a certain position, conferring a dimensioning of the central element 5 through the simultaneous connection of the second end of each blocking element 10 with each housing of the upper surface of the fastening element 7 of the external tubular element 5a, and the projection placed on the lower surface of the first end of each blocking element 10 with each hole of the external surface of the internal tubular element 5b.
  • A plurality of these intrusion-preventing devices 1 according to the present invention, fastened in the wall recess 3 of the frame 2 and arranged in parallel one with respect to another, are adapted to compose an intrusion-preventing system, conferring stability and safety to the frame 2 and guaranteeing a high degree of intrusion-preventing.
