Definitions
- the invention relates to an overvoltage protection device for electrical terminals which, in addition to an at least one-phase network connection, have at least one control signal connection, wherein a change in the operating state of the respective terminal can be specified via the control signal connection.
- a surge arrester arrangement for terminal devices is previously known, with specific reference being made there to LED lights in street lighting. Accordingly, after the DE 20 2011 051 074 U1 Surge arresters are used to protect LED lights for street lighting from voltage peaks from the street lighting network, which are caused by ballasts, for example. In such known surge arresters, an electrical functional unit is used to divert an overvoltage, for example to a neutral conductor. Since the surge arresters have to be disconnected during maintenance work, installation in a lamp head is not practical and installation in a fuse box is preferable, as is the case with the DE 20 2011 051 074 U1 shows.
- the surge arrester there has an insulating component, by means of which the actual functional unit for surge protection is electrically isolated at least in sections.
- the surge arrester itself is completely dimensioned so that it can be arranged within the populated street lighting fuse boxes.
- the aforementioned insulating component is intended to completely electrically isolate the functional unit of the surge arrester and, at the same time, to stabilize it mechanically.
- the electrical functional unit is at least partially cast in an insulating material.
- a plastic in particular a synthetic resin.
- the final shape of the Surge arrester determined by the mold. The final shape of the surge arrester should be adapted to the conditions in a special type of fuse box.
- a marker in particular a foil marker, is used to signal the state of the surge arrester, which visually shows the user that the temperature has been exceeded and thus that the surge arrester has been destroyed.
- overvoltage protection device for electrical terminal devices, the issue here being terminal devices which in addition to an at least one-phase network connection also have a control signal connection. It has shown that overvoltage protection is only inadequate in the area of the grid connection, since impermissible voltage loads can also be coupled in or entered via a control line, with the result that the functionality of a corresponding terminal device can be restricted or it can be completely destroyed.
- the overvoltage protection device for electrical end devices which, in addition to an at least one-phase network connection, have at least one control signal connection, wherein a change in the operating state of the respective end device can be specified via the control signal connection, is implemented in such a way that initially an arrangement of overvoltage arresters, in particular varistors, is provided, each of which is assigned a thermal separation device and an optical function display.
- the thermal disconnection device is designed so that if the surge arrester used, in particular a varistor, is overloaded, electrical disconnection takes place in the sense of triggering a fuse.
- the overvoltage protection device is designed in the immediate vicinity of the electrical terminal, in particular in a connection box of the same.
- the overvoltage protection device is located within an electrically conductive mast, with the gas discharge tube being connected between the network connection and the conductive mast when it is fed from a TNC network with a PEN conductor, which is at the same time a protective conductor and neutral conductor.
- the above measures ensure that no contact voltage problems occur, even in the case of network outflows and poor earthing conditions, thus ensuring the necessary personal safety.
- the respective optical function display has a series connection of a first resistor and a light-emitting diode, this series connection being arranged in parallel to the thermal separation device.
- the series circuit also includes a second resistor which is connected to the neutral conductor.
- the overvoltage protection device according to the invention is designed to be exchangeable. This means that if the device is destroyed as a result of an overvoltage event, it can be exchanged if necessary and replaced by a functional device.
- the overvoltage protection device has connection cables for detachable connection to known terminals, these connection cables being led out on a preferred side of a housing, the housing enclosing all relevant electrical components of the overvoltage protection device in an insulating manner.
- the overvoltage protection device can have an integrated overcurrent fuse in the grid connection path.
- optical function displays are designed in such a way that they are suitable for separate signaling of overvoltage events of the network connection or the control signal connection.
- the overvoltage protection device assumes a single-phase low-voltage grid connection L.
- the connection L 'leads to the consumer, for example to a mobile radio station, a lamp arrangement in a street lighting system or the like.
- Another input Lsteu represents a control input for switching street lighting on and off, for example.
- N is the neutral conductor input and PE is the protective conductor input.
- a surge arrester designed as a varistor V, which has a thermal disconnection device ATV, is connected to the network connection L, connected between L and N.
- the thermal disconnection device is opened in the event of an overload, this overload leading to such heating of the varistor V that, for example, a material connection, ie a solder, melts and a correspondingly spring-loaded bracket moves from a closed to an open position (not shown). .
- a series circuit comprising a resistor R1 and a light-emitting diode D is located parallel to the thermal separation device ATV.
- This series circuit also includes a resistor R2 which is connected to the neutral conductor N.
- a further diode DAP is connected in anti-parallel to the light-emitting diode D.
- the display devices With the aid of the LEDs D in the protective circuit of the network connection LL 'and in the protective circuit of the control signal connection Lsteu or Lst, error states and overvoltage events can be signaled separately.
- the Fig. 2 shows, all relevant electrical components of the overvoltage protection device are in accordance with the circuit diagram Fig. 1 arranged on a printed circuit board LP.
- the circuit board LP comprises the varistors V with a correspondingly integrated thermal disconnection device ATV, the light-emitting diodes D and the gas discharge tube G and the corresponding resistors R1 and R2.
- the corresponding connections in the form of connection cables AK are routed from the printed circuit board.
- the corresponding prefabricated assembly according to Fig. 3 is surrounded by a compact housing KG, the housing KG having openings or breakthroughs DB so that the corresponding states of the light-emitting diodes D can be recognized.
- FIG. 4 An exemplary arrangement of a compactly designed overvoltage protection device KÜG within a connection box HAK shows Fig. 4 , whereby screw fuses Si known per se can still be accommodated in the connection box HAK.
- connection cables AK With the help of the connection cables AK there is the possibility of simply plugging the correspondingly stripped ends of these connection cables AK into known spring terminals in order to produce the desired electrical connections
- Fig. 5 and 6th show the basic possibilities of electrical connection of the overvoltage protection device KÜG with the overvoltage protection means SPD contained therein, which are only shown symbolically in the respective block diagram and without the optical function display.
- a mast connection is also established between the PE connection and the KÜG overvoltage protection device.
- overvoltage protection device KÜG When the overvoltage protection device KÜG is arranged in a TT network, master grounding is assumed, with the PE connection of the overvoltage protection device KÜG being connected to the electrically conductive mast, as is also the case with the design for a TNC network according to Fig. 6 the case is.

Description
US 4 866 560 A undUS 2005 280971 A1 bekannt.

- Fig. 6

Fig. 6 der Fall ist.
