Definitions
- the invention relates to a folding system with a hinge arrangement for the detachable connection of folding wings that are pivotably connected to one another, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- So-called cleaning fittings must be used as hinges in order to be able to clean the outsides of the folding leaves from the inside in folding systems that are not readily accessible from the outside, especially on high building floors.
- these consist of a multi-part hinge with an axle pin or hinge pin or hinge bolt, which has a grippable collar at the top so that it can be pulled out of the hinge bushings by hand.
- the folding system is partially opened and the panels that remain closed are locked in the frame level, so that the opened panels and panels that are to be separated from one another remain secured in the system via the closed panels and cannot accidentally swing over.
- the hinge connection between two folded wings can be released via the pivot pin by pulling it upwards.
- the wings can then be separated and folded over, revealing the outsides for inside cleaning.
- Such cleaning fittings are mainly used for folding elements on balconies.
- hinge pins that have been completely pulled out of both hinge parts or hinge parts must be stored while the system is being cleaned and can be lost. Hinge pins that are not pulled out completely can fall out and get lost as well.
- a hinge pin that is accidentally not fully inserted when the folding system is closed again can be worked out of the hinge by further operating processes on the system, so that the wing connection comes loose unnoticed.
- the hinge pins can be pulled out not only unintentionally, but also with intent to cause damage for the purpose of burglary or vandalism.
- the DE 195 21 539 shows a hinge arrangement in the form of a pivot bearing with a hinge pin referred to as a bearing pin, as can also be used for a folding system.
- the pivot bearing has a pin lock with which the hinge pin can be fixed against axial displacement.
- the bolt securing device is designed as a securing slide that can be displaced transversely to the bearing pin axis, which can be actuated as easily as possible and, in particular, is freely accessible.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a folding system which has increased security, in particular against burglary or vandalism. This problem is solved by a folding system with the features of claim 1. Developments of the folding system according to the invention have a further increased level of security, in particular against incorrect operation.
- the wall parts of the hinge arrangement has a fixing element that can be displaced transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pivot pin and extends with a projection into a complementary recess in the pivot pin when the hinge arrangement is closed, the connection between the two components is secured against unintentional loosening. Also, the axle pin cannot easily be driven out of the bushings since the fixing element fixes its position.
- the fixing element has, on its side facing away from the pivot pin, an actuation handle that protrudes beyond the other elements of the hinge part, in particular in the form of a grip element or a tab.
- the hinge arrangement can be released in a simplified manner, since the axle pin can then be pulled out of at least one part of the hinge by its collar.
- the fixing element itself is preferably secured in the hinge part in such a way that it has a stop limiting its movement away from the pivot pin. In this way, the fixing element cannot accidentally be completely pulled out of the hinge part.
- the operating handle is arranged in such a way that, when the folding system is closed, it is located within a space between the connected folding wings and thus in an area that is not accessible from the outside. Since an actuation of the fixing element is necessary to release the connection between the folding wings, the pivot pin can almost be removed with such an arrangement cannot be forcibly driven out of the bushings of the belt parts from the outside. Such an arrangement therefore represents increased burglary protection.
- the fixing element is preferably spring-loaded in the direction of the pivot pin, so that it automatically snaps into place during assembly as soon as the recess of the pivot pin gets into the area of the projection of the fixing element.
- the projection of the fixing element can be actively pulled out of the recess of the axis pin against the spring force by the actuating handle protruding beyond the other elements of the hinge part on the side of the fixing element facing away from the axis pin.
- one strap part has the fixing element described above, but another strap part also has a latching element that can be displaced transversely to the longitudinal extension of the axle pin and that can be moved at least partially into the interior of the bushing of this strap part.
- the detent element can be a detent ball or preferably a detent bolt, for example.
- This latching element is preferably also spring-loaded in the direction of the axle pin. It is used to hold the axle pin in a captive position in an open cleaning position, in which the hinge parts of the hinge arrangement and thus the components carrying them are separated from one another.
- the pivot pin can thus be pulled out of the socket of one hinge part, but remains held in the other hinge part by the locking element engaging there in the recess of the axle pin and inhibiting the axial movement of the axle pin in both directions.
- This is preferably the Recess into which the fixing element engages in the fixed state.
- the axle pin can also have a further recess specifically for the latching element.
- the configuration with the locking element also makes it possible to mount the hinge arrangement in such a way that the collar, which is thicker than the rest of the pivot pin diameter, protrudes downwards out of the lower bushing and the pivot pin cannot fall out when the hinge parts are open. In practice this is a handling and safety advantage as the axle pin can be pulled down on high mounted hinge assemblies eliminating the need for a ladder in most cases.
- the fixing element, recess(es) of the pivot pin and the position of the latching element should be arranged relative to one another within the hinge arrangement in such a way that when the hinge is released, the pivot pin is partially pulled out and the latching element engages in its recess and the end of the pivot pin facing away from the collar does not come out of the Socket of the hinge part protrudes with the locking element. This avoids jamming and jamming when the hinge arrangement is reassembled.
- the axle pin has a marking which is recognizable when it is pulled out, but is no longer visible when the connection state has been driven completely into the sockets of the hinge parts.
- a marking can be designed, for example, as a visible warning marking, in that the part adjoining the collar of the eight-pin, which is located in the socket when the hinge arrangement is closed, is marked with a warning color is provided.
- tactile markings such as grooves or depressions are also conceivable.
- such a marking can be provided on the fixing element, which is not recognizable when the projection extends into the recess of the pivot pin, but is otherwise recognizable when the fixing element is pulled out.
- the axle pin can be pressed back into all sockets of the hinge after the hinge parts have been brought congruently one above the other. This is made easier if the recess of the axle pin has a run-in slope, for example a longer chamfer, in the direction of the collar, which automatically pushes back the locking element.
- the latching element therefore does not have to have an external actuation option, but instead reaches the specified position solely through its mounting and prestressing.
- Such simplifications in the handling of the hinge arrangement enable a reduction in operating errors.
- Reliable assembly of the hinge assembly is simplified.
- the folding wall provided with the hinge arrangement is thus easier to bring into a properly closed state in which the folding wall has no avoidable weakening due to hinge arrangements that have not been properly assembled. This reduces the risk that the folding wall will not have the intended burglary resistance when it is closed.
- the 1 folding system shown has a total of five wings, of which the leftmost in the figure is designed to open as a rotary wing and the adjoining wings 1.2 on both sides with the adjacent wings connected folding wings are.
- the positions P marked with circles between the folding wings 1,2 are possible installation locations for the hinge arrangement according to the invention.
- Fig. 1b shows the folding system partially open, but with the left rotary wing closed. In this position, the hinge assemblies may be opened in order to move the middle folding wings 1.2 into the in 1c ) Fold down position shown, so that the outside is accessible, for example, for cleaning purposes.
- the hinge arrangement comprises two hinge parts 3.4, which have bushings 5.6, through which in the basic position 2 an axle pin 7 extends therethrough. This has a recess 8 in the lower area and a collar 9 at its upper end, which is larger than the diameter of the rest of the pivot pin 7, so that the pivot pin 7 cannot slide completely into the sockets 5.6.
- the band parts 3.4 are fastened with fastening screws 11 to the frame profiles 12 of the folding wing 1.2. Clamping screws 13 are used for precise adjustment.
- the lower hinge part 3 in the figure includes a fixing element 23 which is mounted so as to be displaceable in the direction of the arrow Q transversely to the longitudinal extent A of the axle pin 7 .
- a fixing element 23 which is mounted so as to be displaceable in the direction of the arrow Q transversely to the longitudinal extent A of the axle pin 7 .
- the fixing element 23 In position in 2 there is a projection 33 of the fixing element 23 in the recess 8 of the axle pin 7, into which it is pressed by a spring 15.
- the axle pin 7 is thus securely fixed in the position shown.
- the fixing element 23 opposite the projection 33 the latter has an actuating handle 43.
- an extension or enlargement (not shown), for example a strap or a zipper, can also be attached to the actuating handle 43 .
- the top band part 4 in the illustration has a locking element 24 that can be displaced in a direction Q, here a locking bolt 24, which is also spring-loaded, but in the 2 and 3 is pushed back by the shaft of the axle pin 7 against the spring force, so that it protrudes only minimally into the bushing 6.
- the hinge part 4 has a further recess 14 which is not provided with a locking bolt and which can also accommodate the locking element if the hinge is arranged in a mirror-inverted manner.
- axle pins 7 of the hinge assemblies can be pushed in again.
- a one-sided run-in bevel or longer chamfer 7 on the recess 8 of the axle pin 7 makes it easier to push back the locking bolt 24, while the other side of the recess 8 is designed without such a bevel for better protection against loss.
- the other end of the axle pin 7 facing away from the collar 9 is also designed with a ramp 27 or chamfer or cone in order to push back the projection 33 of the fixing element 23 if the fixing element 23 is not actively pulled back via the grip element 43 .
- the axle pin 7 is provided directly below the collar 9 with a marking 37, for example a signal color. If the mark 37 after driving the pivot pin 7 back into the sockets 5.6 can still be seen, this serves as an indicator that the pivot pin 7 has not been brought completely into its end position.
- a safety mark of the same type can also be provided on the fixing element 23 and would then indicate that the projection 33 is not correctly positioned in the recess 8 of the pivot pin 7 located.
- FIG. 6 shows a section in direction VI-VI through the hinge arrangement at the in Fig. 1a ) indicated position.
- the lower band part 3 and the fixing element 23 are cut. It can be seen from this that when the folding system is completely closed, the actuating handle 43 for the fixing element 23 is located within a gap 50 between the folding leaves 1, 2 or between their lateral frame parts 12 and therefore is not accessible from the outside 51 of the plant.
- the intermediate space 50 is otherwise sealed and closed by seals 52 .
- the individual elements of the hinge arrangement are largely designed to be multifunctional, so that the arrangement requires only a small number of components.
- the bushing 5 is designed identically to the bushing 6 with openings both for the fixing element 23 and for the locking bolt 24. The storage costs are thus reduced.

Description
The invention relates to a folding system with a hinge arrangement for the detachable connection of folding wings that are pivotably connected to one another, according to the preamble of
So-called cleaning fittings must be used as hinges in order to be able to clean the outsides of the folding leaves from the inside in folding systems that are not readily accessible from the outside, especially on high building floors. In practice, these consist of a multi-part hinge with an axle pin or hinge pin or hinge bolt, which has a grippable collar at the top so that it can be pulled out of the hinge bushings by hand. However, it is important for this that the folding system is partially opened and the panels that remain closed are locked in the frame level, so that the opened panels and panels that are to be separated from one another remain secured in the system via the closed panels and cannot accidentally swing over. However, if the wings that are open and to be separated remain attached to the closed wings, the hinge connection between two folded wings can be released via the pivot pin by pulling it upwards. The wings can then be separated and folded over, revealing the outsides for inside cleaning. Such cleaning fittings are mainly used for folding elements on balconies. However, hinge pins that have been completely pulled out of both hinge parts or hinge parts must be stored while the system is being cleaned and can be lost. Hinge pins that are not pulled out completely can fall out and get lost as well. Vice versa can Even a hinge pin that is accidentally not fully inserted when the folding system is closed again can be worked out of the hinge by further operating processes on the system, so that the wing connection comes loose unnoticed. In addition, the hinge pins can be pulled out not only unintentionally, but also with intent to cause damage for the purpose of burglary or vandalism.
The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a folding system which has increased security, in particular against burglary or vandalism. This problem is solved by a folding system with the features of
Since at least one of the wall parts of the hinge arrangement has a fixing element that can be displaced transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pivot pin and extends with a projection into a complementary recess in the pivot pin when the hinge arrangement is closed, the connection between the two components is secured against unintentional loosening. Also, the axle pin cannot easily be driven out of the bushings since the fixing element fixes its position.
For simplified actuation, the fixing element has, on its side facing away from the pivot pin, an actuation handle that protrudes beyond the other elements of the hinge part, in particular in the form of a grip element or a tab. In this way, the hinge arrangement can be released in a simplified manner, since the axle pin can then be pulled out of at least one part of the hinge by its collar. However, because an active actuation of the fixing element is required before the pivot pin can be pulled out, unintentional loosening is ruled out. The fixing element itself is preferably secured in the hinge part in such a way that it has a stop limiting its movement away from the pivot pin. In this way, the fixing element cannot accidentally be completely pulled out of the hinge part.
According to the invention, the operating handle is arranged in such a way that, when the folding system is closed, it is located within a space between the connected folding wings and thus in an area that is not accessible from the outside. Since an actuation of the fixing element is necessary to release the connection between the folding wings, the pivot pin can almost be removed with such an arrangement cannot be forcibly driven out of the bushings of the belt parts from the outside. Such an arrangement therefore represents increased burglary protection.
The fixing element is preferably spring-loaded in the direction of the pivot pin, so that it automatically snaps into place during assembly as soon as the recess of the pivot pin gets into the area of the projection of the fixing element. For simplified actuation, the projection of the fixing element can be actively pulled out of the recess of the axis pin against the spring force by the actuating handle protruding beyond the other elements of the hinge part on the side of the fixing element facing away from the axis pin.
In an advantageous embodiment of the folding system according to the invention, not only does one strap part have the fixing element described above, but another strap part also has a latching element that can be displaced transversely to the longitudinal extension of the axle pin and that can be moved at least partially into the interior of the bushing of this strap part. The detent element can be a detent ball or preferably a detent bolt, for example. This latching element is preferably also spring-loaded in the direction of the axle pin. It is used to hold the axle pin in a captive position in an open cleaning position, in which the hinge parts of the hinge arrangement and thus the components carrying them are separated from one another. The pivot pin can thus be pulled out of the socket of one hinge part, but remains held in the other hinge part by the locking element engaging there in the recess of the axle pin and inhibiting the axial movement of the axle pin in both directions. This is preferably the Recess into which the fixing element engages in the fixed state. However, the axle pin can also have a further recess specifically for the latching element.
The configuration with the locking element also makes it possible to mount the hinge arrangement in such a way that the collar, which is thicker than the rest of the pivot pin diameter, protrudes downwards out of the lower bushing and the pivot pin cannot fall out when the hinge parts are open. In practice this is a handling and safety advantage as the axle pin can be pulled down on high mounted hinge assemblies eliminating the need for a ladder in most cases.
In order to avoid operating errors, the fixing element, recess(es) of the pivot pin and the position of the latching element should be arranged relative to one another within the hinge arrangement in such a way that when the hinge is released, the pivot pin is partially pulled out and the latching element engages in its recess and the end of the pivot pin facing away from the collar does not come out of the Socket of the hinge part protrudes with the locking element. This avoids jamming and jamming when the hinge arrangement is reassembled.
Further security against possible operating errors can preferably be achieved in that the axle pin has a marking which is recognizable when it is pulled out, but is no longer visible when the connection state has been driven completely into the sockets of the hinge parts. Such a marking can be designed, for example, as a visible warning marking, in that the part adjoining the collar of the eight-pin, which is located in the socket when the hinge arrangement is closed, is marked with a warning color is provided. Alternatively or in addition, tactile markings such as grooves or depressions are also conceivable. Likewise, such a marking can be provided on the fixing element, which is not recognizable when the projection extends into the recess of the pivot pin, but is otherwise recognizable when the fixing element is pulled out.
If the hinge arrangement is to be reassembled, for example after cleaning the outer surfaces of temporarily separated folding wings, the axle pin can be pressed back into all sockets of the hinge after the hinge parts have been brought congruently one above the other. This is made easier if the recess of the axle pin has a run-in slope, for example a longer chamfer, in the direction of the collar, which automatically pushes back the locking element. The latching element therefore does not have to have an external actuation option, but instead reaches the specified position solely through its mounting and prestressing.
Such simplifications in the handling of the hinge arrangement enable a reduction in operating errors. Reliable assembly of the hinge assembly is simplified. The folding wall provided with the hinge arrangement is thus easier to bring into a properly closed state in which the folding wall has no avoidable weakening due to hinge arrangements that have not been properly assembled. This reduces the risk that the folding wall will not have the intended burglary resistance when it is closed.

The individual elements of the hinge arrangement are largely designed to be multifunctional, so that the arrangement requires only a small number of components.
