Description

The present invention relates to a safety lighting device comprising a housing housing at least one lighting means adapted to be electrically connected on the one hand to an electrical network and on the other hand to an electric accumulator adapted to the supply in case of failure of the electrical network, said lighting means being movable between a retracted position and a deployed position relative to a face of said housing and being able to rotate 360 ° about an axis perpendicular to said face of the housing .

Conventionally, safety lighting devices are intended to continue to broadcast a light signal in case of accidental interruption of normal lighting. The current regulations require their installation in the public use spaces to allow the movement of people and ensure, if necessary, their evacuation by limiting any risk of panic movement. They must also allow, if necessary, the rapid arrival and consequently an effective intervention of the helpers.

Thus, such devices play the role of light beacons materializing a path to an emergency exit or to an incident site. The lighting generated should preferably be uniform, and especially as it also allows the public to identify possible obstacles and changes of direction.

Depending on the case, it is possible to use housings incorporating backlighting means of a signage that has their front face. Such boxes may also include additional lighting means, external to the housing, and diffusing light to a given area.

Various devices of this type are known from the state of the art.

The publication US 7,520,072 for example, describes a security block in the form of a housing whose front face has cutouts forming the word "exit" backlit by a plurality of LED lamps. Furthermore, the underside is equipped with LED spots that can adopt a retracted position and an extended position in which they can also be oriented in a given direction by rotation about an axis.

The publication US 2011/0103037 describes a security lighting unit comprising two spots each fixed in a recess of a housing by means of a hinge. In fact, each spot is movable between a rest position in which it is retracted into its recess and illuminates nothing, and an active position, in which it is extracted from its recess, by pivoting about the axis of the hinge . Adjusting the spot's pivot angle around the hinge axis allows you to select the desired illumination angle.

La publication US 3974371 décrit le préambule de la revendication 1.The publication US 3974371 describes the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention is intended to propose a new safety lighting device comprising at least one moving lighting means between a retracted position and an extended position, in which the said lighting means is advantageously totally erased at the same time. inside the device housing in its retracted position. Furthermore, the object of the invention is also to provide such a device in which the possibilities of orientation of the lighting means, placed in its deployed position, are reduced compared to the known devices of the prior art.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a safety lighting device of the type indicated in the preamble, characterized in that said lighting means is pivotally mounted around an axis parallel to said face of the housing, on a annular cradle housed inside said housing, having an upper edge and a lower edge and delimiting a housing inside which said lighting means is housed in its retracted position, said annular cradle being itself pivotally mounted on the inner side of said face of said housing, about an axis perpendicular to said face, and such that said housing communicates with a through opening that includes said face, said through opening being adapted to define a passage for said lighting means moved between its retracted position and its deployed position or vice versa.

With such a configuration, the lighting means is fully housed in the housing of the safety lighting device when in its retracted position. This not only confers on the housing a very compact structure, limiting its size, but also to protect the lighting means from possible shocks, both during use, and during storage of the device according to the invention. On the other hand, this feature also optimizes the conditioning of the safety lighting device according to the invention, having no protruding part before installation.

According to an alternative embodiment of the device according to the invention, the lighting means comprises an LED lamp connected to said annular cradle by a hinge comprising a stirrup having two arms joined by a junction zone on either side of which extend coaxial assembly means respectively male and / or female formed on the outer face of said stirrup, the free ends of said arms being able to be fixed on said LED lamp, while said assembly means male and / or female are able to cooperate in an elastic assembly with female and / or coaxial male complementary assembly means that comprises the inner face of the peripheral wall of said annular cradle.

Par ailleurs, le dispositif selon l'invention se caractérise encore en ce que ladite lampe à LED est reliée audit berceau annulaire par une deuxième articulation comportant au moins une biellette dont la première et la deuxième extrémités sont pourvues de moyens d'assemblage respectivement mâles et/ou femelles aptes à coopérer, selon un assemblage élastique, respectivement, pour la première extrémité, avec des moyens d'assemblage complémentaires femelles et/ou mâles formés sur une entretoise s'étendant transversalement à proximité du chant inférieur du berceau annulaire et, pour la seconde extrémité, avec des moyens d'assemblage complémentaires femelles et/ou mâles que comporte la lampe à LED.Furthermore, the device according to the invention is further characterized in that said LED lamp is connected to said annular cradle by a second hinge comprising at least one rod whose first and second ends are provided with respectively male and female connecting means. and / or females able to cooperate, according to an elastic assembly, respectively, for the first end, with female and / or male complementary assembly means formed on a spacer extending transversely close to the lower edge of the annular cradle and, for the second end, with means female and / or male complementary assemblies included in the LED lamp.

In this case, said second articulation preferably comprises two identical rods, and said annular cradle comprises two spacers extending transversely to the bottom of the annular cradle symmetrically with respect to a plane perpendicular to the bottom of said housing while said LED lamp comprises a pair of female and / or male coaxial assembly means. This advantageously makes it possible to improve the mechanical strength of the assembly making it possible to extract the lighting means from the annular cradle.

According to a preferred embodiment, said male and female assembly means are respectively defined by a lug and an orifice.

The safety lighting device according to the invention is further characterized in that said through opening that comprises said face of said housing is lined internally by a ring extending on the inner side of said face, said ring being able to accommodate said annular cradle according to a free fit and one of its edges forming at least one shoulder extending around the inner wall of said through opening, on which shoulder is adapted to rest a flange extending around the upper edge of the annular cradle.

Advantageously, said ring and said annular cradle may also include means for indexing and locking in position of their relative position.

In this case, said ring may comprise a toothed zone extending over at least a portion of its circumference, on its inner face, while said annular cradle comprises a tooth zone formed complementary manner on its outer face.

According to another characteristic of the invention, said lighting means is provided with a gripping means, which can be defined by a tab connected to the front face of the LED lamp.

With reference to the figures, the safety lighting device 1 according to the invention comprises a housing 2, for example of parallelepipedal shape, having a bottom delimited by a peripheral wall 4 and separated by means of a transverse partition 40, in first and second compartments 30, 31 (cf. Fig. 2 ). The bottom 3 is provided capable of being clipped onto a base 5, itself intended to be fixed on any support, such as in particular a vertical partition, a ceiling, a beam, etc., by appropriate assembly means. The housing 2 also comprises a front face 7 covering the bottom 3 and having a first and a second portion 70, 71 for closing respectively the compartments 30, 31 of the bottom 3.

In the illustrated embodiment, the safety lighting device 1 comprises an LED lamp 6, having a base 60 of substantially annular shape, for example aluminum, on which can be connected one or more LEDs (not shown). The base 60 is provided with a radiator 61, allowing a dissipation of the heat generated by said LEDs during their operation, and is covered by a window 62 behind which extend said LEDs and able to diffuse their lighting. The LED lamp 6 also comprises a tab 65 integral with its window 62 and allowing its gripping and thus easy handling by an operator.

Conventionally, the LED lamp 6 is adapted to be connected via a junction box 12 disposed in the base 5, to a home electrical network or to an accumulator of electric batteries (not shown) that can be received in the compartment 31 the bottom 3 of the housing 2. An electronic card 13 makes it possible in particular to manage the supply of the LED lamp 6, and to switch it between the electrical network and said battery accumulator. The electronic card 13 also makes it possible to test the state of charge of the accumulator and to emit a light signal 14, representative of said state of charge, displayed on the portion 71 of the front face 7 of the case 2 and therefore immediately visible by an operator.

According to the invention, the LED lamp 6 is connected to an annular cradle 8 housed in the compartment 30, by means of a first and a second articulation 9, 10 allowing it to be movable between a retracted position ( Fig. 1 ) and an extended position ( Fig. 12 ). The annular cradle 8 comprises a peripheral wall 82 having an upper edge 84 and a lower edge 85 and internally defines a housing 86 of substantially complementary shape to the base 60 of the LED lamp 6. In its retracted position, the LED lamp 6 is housed in the housing 86, while its window 62 advantageously extends flush with the front face 7 of the housing 2, in a through opening 72 that includes the portion 70 of said front face 7.

In fact, the first articulation 9 comprises a stirrup ( Fig. 4 ), preferably made of an elastic material, having two symmetrical arms 90, interconnected by a junction zone 91. The free ends 92 of the two arms 90 each comprise an orifice 93 for the passage of a screw 94 for fixing them on either side of the radiator 61 of the LED lamp 6, which comprises two coaxial holes 63 for this purpose. Furthermore, the stirrup 9 has, on its outer face 95, a pair of coaxial lugs 96, extending on either side of the junction zone 91. The two lugs 96 are provided capable of being clipped into coaxial orifices 80 that comprise the peripheral wall 82 of the annular cradle 8.

7, un orifice 64 visible) aptes à recevoir chacun l'autre ergot 113 d'une biellette 11.The second articulation 10 (cf. Fig. 5 ) comprises a pair of identical rods 11, preferably made of an elastic material, whose first and second ends 110, 111 are each provided with a lug 112, 113 extending in opposite directions and defining the intended clip heads adapted to cooperate, according to an elastic assembly, respectively with the annular cradle 8 and with the LED lamp 6. For this purpose, the annular cradle 8 comprises two spacers 83 extending transversely inside the annular cradle 8, near its lower edge 85. The two spacers 83 are symmetrical with respect to a plane perpendicular to the edge 85 and each comprise an orifice 81 adapted to receive the lug 112 of a rod 11. Furthermore, the radiator 61 of the LED lamp 6 has two coaxial orifices 64 (cf. Fig. 7 , a visible orifice 64) adapted to receive each other lug 113 of a rod 11.

With such a configuration, the LED lamp 6 when connected, by means of the first and second hinges 9, 10, the annular cradle 8, itself placed in the compartment 30 at the rear of the front face 7 of the housing, is pivotable about four axes X1, X2, X3, X4 parallel to the front face 7 of the housing 2.

Grâce à une telle configuration, le berceau annulaire est monté en rotation, autour d'un axe X5, perpendiculaire à la face avant 7 du boîtier 2, par rapport à la bague 73 et donc par rapport à ladite face avant 7.Furthermore, according to the invention, the through opening 72 that includes the portion 70 of the front face 7 of the housing 2 is lined internally by a ring 73 (cf. Fig. 10B ), extending on the inner side 74 of said portion 70, and adapted to accommodate the annular cradle 8 in a free fit. In fact, the annular cradle 8, in which the LED lamp 6 has been previously fixed by means of the articulations 9, 10, is able to be inserted in the ring 73, passing through the through opening 72 from the front face. 7 of the housing 2. When the annular cradle 8 is properly inserted into the ring 73, a flange 87, extending around its upper edge 84, abuts on a first shoulder 75 (cf. Fig. 10B ) extending around the inner wall 76 of the through opening 72. With such a configuration, the annular cradle is rotatably mounted about an axis X5, perpendicular to the front face 7 of the housing 2, relative to at the ring 73 and thus with respect to said front face 7.

According to another characteristic of the device 1 according to the invention, the inner wall 76 of the through opening 72 comprises a second shoulder 77 (cf. Fig. 10B ) extending between the first shoulder 75 and the outer side 78 of the face before 7 of the housing 2 on which is able to rest the base 60 of the LED lamp 6 covered with the pane 62 when it is housed in the housing 86 defined by the annular cradle 8.

The toothed zones 79, 88 define indexing and locking means in position of the relative position of the annular cradle 8 with respect to the ring 73, and consequently allow fine adjustment of the angular position of the annular cradle 8 and therefore of the LED lamp 6 with respect to a plane perpendicular to the front face 7 of the housing 2.

In fact, the first and second joints 9, 10 allow the extraction of the LED lamp 6 from its housing 86, to place it by means of the tab 65, in the extended position outside the housing 2, after which it has passed through the through opening 72. In the fully extended position, the inclination of the LED lamp 6 can be changed at will by pivoting said LED lamp 6 about the axes X3, X4. In addition, its orientation can be changed by rotating the annular cradle 8 relative to the front face 7 of the housing 2 in the ring 73, so as to diffuse its lighting to the desired direction.

In the example shown in figure 12 three devices 1 according to the invention have been associated to form a set 100 in which the respective LED lamps 6 of each housing 2 can be oriented independently of one another in a given direction, which advantageously allows to diffuse a lighting towards a larger surface.

Of course, the LED lamp 6 once deployed can be replaced in its retracted position by soliciting the joints 9, 10 that is rotated in the opposite direction.

It should also be noted that many modifications can be made to the examples described above without departing from the scope of the present invention.
