The at least one slide needle can be guided with play with the beads of its slide springs in the at least one needle channel when the hook opening is open in the transverse direction of the channel. The at least one compound needle can be supported with the beads in the transverse direction of the channel when the hook opening is closed.

The longitudinal direction of the spring, the longitudinal direction of the beads, the longitudinal direction of the slide, the longitudinal direction of the needle and the longitudinal direction of the channel can at least approximately correspond to one another. The spring transverse direction, the bead transverse direction, the slide transverse direction, the needle transverse direction and the transverse channel direction can at least approximately correspond to one another. The spring height direction, the bead height direction, the slider height direction, the needle height direction and the channel height direction can at least approximately correspond to one another.

In addition, the object on which the invention is based is achieved with a method for producing at least one such slider spring, wherein a plurality of slider springs are stacked in such a way that a convex bead outside is received by a concave bead inside, wherein an outwardly curved, convex bead of a bead completely in an inwardly arched, concave bending of a bead.

In summary and presented in other words, the invention thus results, among other things, in a beaded design on slide springs. To produce these slide springs, a pointed tool such as a chisel can be used to press on one side of the slide spring, as a result of which an approximately triangular notch, which usually runs in the longitudinal direction of the needle, can be produced on the relevant side. A largely rounded bulge can form on the opposite side. The resulting channel-like structure can be referred to as a bead. Channel-like structures with a different shape, in which an indentation is opposite a bulge, can also be referred to as beads. The surrounds can do that be made in such a way that the rounded bulges always point away from the needle, ie "outside", when the slide springs are fitted.

The distance, maximum to maximum, of the two outward-pointing rounded beads on the two complementary slider springs can be increased when the interior of the hook is open, i. H. as long as the hook does not engage between the two slider springs, be smaller than the width of the needle channel for which the slider needle in question is intended.

When the interior of the hook is closed, ie when the hook engages between the two slider springs and the slider springs are pressed apart, the distance between the two rounded beads can correspond approximately to the width of the needle channel. Only when the interior of the hook is closed can the needle be supported on the side walls of the needle channel by means of the beads of the slide springs.

The bead is shaped to create a trough-like bend, bead, with the outward convex bend/bead shaped to fully fit within the inward concave bend. The slider springs are stackable.

The slide spring 112 is made of steel. The slider spring 112 has a reduced material thickness in the area of its bead 140 in the transverse direction b. The second slider spring 114 has a corresponding bead 146 with mirror symmetry.

The slide springs 112, 114 are initially produced separately from the slide body 110 and are then firmly connected to the slide body 110, for example by caulking or clipping. The slide springs 112, 114 are arranged next to one another in the transverse direction b. The concave bead insides, such as 142, of the slide springs 112, 114 face each other. The convex bead outsides, such as 144, of the slide springs 112, 114 point outwards in the transverse direction b. The knitting machine with which compound needle 100 is used has needle channels for receiving compound needles such as 100. The needle channels each extend in the longitudinal direction I and each have side walls that delimit the needle channel in the transverse direction b, a base that delimits the needle channel downwards in the vertical direction h, and an open top. When the compound needle 100 is arranged in a needle channel, the beads 140, 146 are arranged in the needle channel below the open top in the height direction h. The compound needle 100 can be displaced in the longitudinal direction I in the needle channel. The compound needle 100 and the associated needle channel in which the compound needle 100 is arranged form a guiding arrangement. When the hook opening is open, the compound needle 100 is guided with play in the needle channel in the transverse direction b. When the hook opening is closed, the compound needle 100 is supported with the beads 140, 146 in the needle channel in the transverse direction b.

Incidentally, in addition, in particular 1 and 2 as well as the associated description.

4 shows stacked shift springs, such as 300, such as shift springs 112, 114 according to FIG 1 and 2 . The sliding springs 300 have beads 302 with similar cross-sectional contours as bead 200 according to FIG 3 . Because of the beads 302 with similar cross-sectional contours, the sliding springs 300 can be stacked securely and stably.

The slide springs 300 form a stack 304. The stack 304 is formed either only from first slide springs or only from second slide springs. The sliding springs 300 are stacked congruently with their peripheral edges. The sliding springs 300 are stacked with their beads lying one inside the other. In each case, a bead outside is accommodated by a bead inside.
