Description

The invention relates to a contacting device for contacting an electrical conductor with an electrical conductor track, the contacting device being fixable to a body of an electrical component that contains the electrical conductor track.

WO 2010/034430 A1 , WO 2005/122335 A1 teach various examples of contacting devices that include contact clips for making contact between electrical conductors and the conductor track within the device housing.

A contacting device is required for fixing an electrical conductor to an electrical conductor track which is arranged in a body of an electrical component, for example a motor protection switch, a circuit breaker, a motor contactor, a power contactor or a thermal relay.

An object of the present invention is to provide a contacting device for contacting an electrical conductor with an electrical conductor track, which makes it possible to contact the electrical conductor with the electrical conductor track in the simplest possible manner, the contact between the electrical conductor and the electrical conductor track has a low contact resistance and the contacting device can be fixed as easily as possible to a body of an electrical component for providing the electrical conductor track.

An embodiment of such a contacting device is specified in claim 1. The contacting device for contacting an electrical conductor with an electrical conductor track comprises a housing with a first opening for inserting the electrical conductor into a cavity of the housing and a second opening for inserting the electrical conductor track into the cavity of the housing. The contacting device further comprises a contact clip with a first section, which is in the cavity of the housing is arranged, and a second section. The contact clip is designed in such a way that the electrical conductor, after the electrical conductor and the electrical conductor track have been inserted into the cavity of the housing, is pressed against the electrical conductor track by means of the first section of the contact clip, as a result of which the electrical conductor is in a press fit for contacting the electrical conductor track is held on the electrical conductor track. The contact clip is designed such that the contacting device can be fixed by means of the second section of the contact clip on a body of an electrical component for providing the electrical conductor track.

The contacting device is designed as a modular terminal connection, the contact bracket, which is responsible for contacting the electrical conductor with the electrical conductor track or current path, also being the connecting element between the body of the electrical component and the modular terminal block. The contact clip is designed as a spring element. One leg of the contact clip clamps the electrical conductor to be connected to the conductor or current path. The other leg of the contact clip connects the contacting device to the body of the electrical component.

The electrical conductor track, which is arranged on the body of the electrical component, is used directly in the contacting device as a contact surface for the electrical conductor or conductors to be connected. This means that a steel frame or a steel cage, which usually holds the contact bracket in position and function, can be dispensed with. This eliminates an additional contact resistance, which is otherwise present between the electrical conductor, the steel frame and the electrical conductor track of the body of the electrical component.

In the specified contacting device, the contact bracket is integrated in an inner housing body, which can be designed as a plastic frame, and held there in position and function. The inner case body with the inside arranged contact bracket can be inserted into modular components or an outer housing body. The shape of the outer housing body can be adapted to the shape of the body of the electrical component, so that the housing of the contacting device can be fixed to the body of the electrical component. The outer housing body and the body of the electrical component can thereby be connected to one another in a form-fitting manner, for example.

Figure 2 shows an embodiment of a contacting device 1 with a housing 100. The housing 100 comprises at least one inner housing body 110, which is surrounded by an outer housing body 120. The at least one inner housing body has a cavity in which a contact bracket 200 is arranged. At the in Figure 2 Exemplary embodiment of the contacting device shown are, for example, three inner housing body 110 surrounded by an outer housing body 120. The contacting device 1 can be attached to the body of the electrical component 2 in such a way that the electrical conductor tracks 20 protrude into each of the cavities of the inner housing body 110. For this purpose, the inner housing body on its bottom surface have respective opening. By means of the respective contact bracket 200, an electrical conductor, which is inserted into one of the cavities of the inner housing body 110, can be clamped to the electrical conductor track 20 inserted in the cavity.

Figur 6 zeigt einen Schnitt durch einen inneren Gehäusekörper 110 des Gehäuses 100 der Kontaktierungsvorrichtung 1.Embodiments of the contacting device 1 are described in detail with reference to the following figures. Figure 3 shows a section through an embodiment of a contacting device 1 for contacting an electrical conductor 10 with an electrical conductor track 20, which is arranged in a base body of the electrical component 2. The Figures 4 and 5 each show perspective representations of a section through the contacting device 1. Figure 6 shows a section through an inner housing body 110 of the housing 100 of the contacting device 1.

The contacting device 1 for contacting the electrical conductor 10 with the electrical conductor track 20 comprises the housing 100 and the contact bracket 200 already described above. The housing 100 has a first opening 101 for inserting the electrical conductor 10 into a cavity 104 of the housing 100. Furthermore, the housing 100 has a second opening 102 for inserting the electrical conductor track 20 into the cavity 104 of the housing. The electrical conductor track 20 is arranged on the body of the electrical component 2, a section of the conductor track 20 protruding from the body of the electrical component.

The contact clip 200 comprises a first section 210, which is arranged in the cavity 104 of the housing 100. Furthermore, the contact bracket 200 comprises a second section 220. The second section 220 is accessible from the outside via a third opening 103 of the housing 100. The second section 220 can be arranged within the housing. According to a possible embodiment, only a region of the second section 220 of the contact clip can protrude or protrude from the third opening 103. The contact bracket 200 is designed such that the electrical conductor 10 after the electrical has been inserted Conductor 10 and the electrical conductor 20 is pressed into the cavity 104 of the housing by means of the first section 210 of the contact bracket 200 on the electrical conductor 20. The contact bracket 200 and the electrical conductor track 20 are separate elements which are not connected to one another or are not fixed to one another. Only in the state in which no electrical conductor is inserted into the cavity 104 of the housing can the end of the first section 210 of the contact bracket touch the electrical conductor track 20.

As a result, the electrical conductor 10 for contacting the electrical conductor 20 is held in a clamped position on the electrical conductor 20. The contact bracket 200 is further configured such that the contacting device 1 can be fixed to the body of the electrical component 2 by means of the second section 220 of the contact bracket 200. The contact bracket 200 thus serves both for the direct clamping of the electrical conductor 10 to the electrical conductor track or current path 20 and for fastening the contacting device 1 to the body of the electrical component 2.

The first section 210 of the contact bracket 200 can be designed as a resilient leg, which is initially bent downward when the electrical conductor 10 is inserted through the opening 101 into the cavity 104 of the housing 100. The contact bracket 200 is designed and held in the housing 100 in such a way that, as a result of this bending, it generates a restoring force with which it presses the electrical conductor 10 against the electrical conductor track 20, so that the electrical conductor 10 is clamped to the conductor track 20.

The second section 220 of the contact bracket 200 is designed as a latching element for latching into a structure 3 of the body of the electrical component 2 in order to fix the contacting device 1 to the body of the electrical component. For this purpose, the second section 220 of the contact clip is arranged in the housing 100 such that it is accessible from the outside via the opening 103 of the housing. The structure 3 is designed as a structure of the body / housing of the electrical component that differs from the electrical conductor track 20. The structure 3 can for example, a projection or a nose on the body of the electrical component 2, which snaps into the curved second section 220 of the contact clip in order to fasten the contacting device 1 to the body of the electrical component 2. When fastened, the electrical conductor track 20 penetrates through the second opening 102 of the housing into the cavity 104 of the housing.

The contact clip 200 can have a third section 230 between the first and the second section 210, 220, to which the contact clip 200 is fastened to the housing 100. According to a possible embodiment, the contacting device 1 can further comprise a lever 300 for moving the first section 210 of the contact clip 200 against the restoring force in order to release the electrical conductor 10 by pressing down the first section 210 of the contact clip.

According to a possible embodiment, a holding element 400 can be arranged within the cavity 104 of the housing, on which the contact bracket 200 is held in position and function within the housing. The holding element 400 is designed such that the contact bracket 200 is supported laterally as well as from above.

The housing 100 can have an inner housing body 110 and an outer housing body 120. The inner housing body 110 can be at least partially arranged in the outer housing body 120. The contact clip 200 is arranged in the inner housing body 110.

According to a possible embodiment of the housing 100, the inner housing body 110 is designed as a hollow body with a bottom surface 111 and side walls 112 which delimit the cavity 104 of the housing 100 laterally and from below. The second opening 102 of the housing for inserting the electrical conductor 20 into the cavity 104 of the housing 100 can be arranged in the bottom surface 111 of the inner housing body 110. The third opening 103 of the Housing 100 may be provided on one of the side walls 112 of the inner housing body 110. The second section 220 of the contact clip is arranged in the housing such that it ends above the bottom surface 111 of the inner housing body 110 and in particular does not protrude from the bottom surface 111.

According to a further possible embodiment of the housing, the outer housing body 120 is designed as a hollow body with a cover 121 and side walls 122. The outer housing body 120 is arranged above the inner housing body 110 such that an open side of the inner housing body 110 is covered by the cover surface 121 of the outer housing body 120. The side walls 112 of the inner housing body 110 are surrounded by the side walls 122 of the outer housing body 120. The outer housing body 120 is slipped over the inner housing body 110. The first opening 101 of the housing 100 is arranged in the cover part 121 of the outer housing body 120. Likewise, the lever 300 is also arranged in the cover part 121 of the outer housing body 120.

The inner housing body 110 can be designed as a plastic frame and, together with the contact bracket, forms a modular inner housing of the contacting device. The outer shape of the outer housing body can be adapted to the outer body of the electrical component 2 and forms the modular outer housing of the contacting device. As a result, the contacting device can be positively attached to the body of the electrical component 2.

Figure 7 shows an embodiment of the outer housing body 120, which is arranged above the inner housing body 110. To fix the contacting device 1 to the body of the electrical component 2, a latching element 123 can be arranged on at least one of the outer side walls 122 of the outer housing body 120 for snapping into a correspondingly shaped structural element 4 of the body of the electrical component 2. At the in Figure 7 shown embodiment, the locking element 123 is designed as a flexible tab or as a snap hook. The structural element 4 can be used as a projection can be provided on the body of the electrical component 2, into which the snap hook 123 engages. As a result, in addition to the connection between the locking element 3 of the body of the electrical component and the section 220 of the contact bracket, an additional fixing possibility is created, by means of which the contacting device 1 is held securely on the basic device 2.

The electrical conductor track can be designed as a flat conductor with a section 21 which is cast into the body of the electrical component. A section 22 of the conductor track 20 is arranged under the bottom surface 111 of the inner housing body 110. Further sections 23 and 24 of the electrical conductor track 20 protrude through the second opening 102 into the interior of the housing 100 when the contacting device 1 is fastened to the body of the electrical component. The side wall 112 has a small projection on which the section 23 of the conductor track is supported. The section 23 comprises a specially shaped surface in order to hold the electrical conductor 10 in the press fit by means of the contact bracket 200. For this purpose, an upper part of section 23 of the electrical conductor track is shaped as a nose in the cavity 104 of the housing 100. The section 24 of the electrical conductor track 20 is designed as an opening in order to connect a longitudinal connector to the basic device using a spring element. For this purpose, an opening is also provided in the side walls 112 and 122 of the inner and outer housing body.

By means of the contacting device 1, an additional connection element can be saved when connecting the contacting device to the body of the electrical component, since the contacting device is connected to the section 220 of the contact bracket 200 Body of the electrical component 2 can be attached. Since the contact bracket also clamps the electrical conductor 10 to be connected directly to the electrical conductor track 20 by means of the resilient leg 210, there is no additional contact resistance between the electrical conductor 10 and the electrical conductor track 20. In comparison with a cage construction in the conventional push-in Technology, the contacting device 1 has a small space and an inexpensive construction. The contacting device can thus provide a cost-neutral, quality-neutral and space-neutral contacting option for contacting an electrical conductor with an electrical conductor or current path of an electrical component.
