Description
- L'invention concerne une antenne émettrice et/ou réceptrice, bi-boucle, destinée à être installée sur un engin pouvant être immergé et fonctionnant à haute fréquence pour émettre et/ou recevoir des ondes hautes fréquences entre ledit engin et une base terrestre, par exemple. L'antenne est utilisée pour des émissions dans les bandes de fréquence 1,5 à 30 MHz, par exemple, la transmission des données s'effectuant via l'ionosphère.
- Elle concerne un système antennaire permettant la transmission de données de tout format, voix, images, vidéo, entre un engin submersible et une base terrestre, par exemple.
- Les engins submersibles transmettent et reçoivent des signaux en général via des antennes filaires remorquées ou tractées par ces engins submersibles. Ces antennes sont positionnées flottant à la surface de l'eau pendant que l'engin submersible est en immersion à une plus grande profondeur.

EP 1291974 concerne une structure antennaire comprenant plusieurs antennes, une des antennes étant considérée comme une antenne « maître » et les autres jouant le rôle d'esclave. - L'enseignement technique du brevet
US6014107 décrit une structure antennaire comprenant deux boucles, adaptée à la réception d'ondes radio ionosphériques à incidence quasi verticale. - Les antennes connues de l'art antérieur présentent notamment des risques de rupture du câble de liaison, de problèmes mécaniques lors du déploiement ou lorsque l'on rembobine le câble de l'antenne sur un support. D'un point de vue radioélectrique, elles présentent un faible rendement et ne peuvent être utilisées comme antenne d'émission de forte puissance, typiquement la puissance d'émission est limitée à quelques watts.
- L'antenne selon l'invention présente une architecture originale en ce sens qu'elle comporte une double boucle symétrique par rapport à un axe support, isolée de l'eau dans laquelle elle peut être immergée par une enceinte diélectrique, chaque boucle étant alimentée en opposition de phase afin que la résultante des courants de retour vers la masse (eau) s'annule, réduisant ainsi fortement les pertes ohmiques dans l'eau.
- L'invention concerne une antenne émettrice et/ou réceptrice destinée à équiper un engin submersible comportant au moins les éléments suivants :
- Un élément support en matériau conducteur,
- Une première boucle de forme donnée comprenant une première extrémité reliée à un premier point et une deuxième extrémité reliée à un point commun M,
- Une deuxième boucle comprenant une première extrémité reliée à un deuxième point et une deuxième extrémité reliée au point commun M, ayant une forme similaire à la forme de la première boucle,
- Des moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités des deux boucles en opposition de phase afin que les courants de retour vers le point commun M se compensent,
- Une enceinte de protection de la première et de la deuxième boucle, et dans laquelle,
- Les deux boucles sont symétriques par rapport à un axe de symétrie A correspondant à l'élément support,
- Le support est relié mécaniquement et électriquement aux deuxièmes extrémités symétriques et au point commun M, et
- Le support est configuré pour éloigner le point commun M et les boucles de la masse de l'engin submersible et pour connecter électriquement lesdites deuxièmes extrémités symétriques à la masse de l'engin submersible.
- Selon un mode de réalisation, les moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités des deux boucles en opposition de phase comportent deux boîtes d'accord identiques.
- Une boucle d'antenne présente, par exemple, une forme circulaire, ou encore une forme quadrilatère.
- La forme et les dimensions d'une boucle d'antenne sont adaptées pour un fonctionnement de l'antenne dans une plage de fréquence [1,5MHz, 30MHz].
- L'antenne peut aussi comporter un noyau ferromagnétique positionné au centre des deux boucles, ce qui permet de diminuer la dimension de l'antenne en conservant un bon rendement.
- L'invention concerne aussi un système antennaire caractérisé en ce que les moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités des deux boucles en opposition de phase comportent en outre un diviseur de puissance recevant en entrée un signal S émis par un émetteur/récepteur et délivrant un premier signal S1 alimentant la première boucle et un deuxième signal S2 en opposition de phase du premier signal alimentant une deuxième boucle.
- Les deux boîtes d'accord et le diviseur de puissance peuvent être intégrés dans un même ensemble.
- Le système comporte, par exemple, une antenne selon l'invention et un engin submersible sur lequel est disposée ladite antenne.

Figure 6A et figure 6B , des exemples de géométrie d'enceinte étanches. - Afin de mieux faire comprendre la structure de l'antenne selon l'invention, la description est donnée pour une antenne disposée sur un engin submersible dans de l'eau de mer, l'engin étant positionné à une faible profondeur. L'antenne fonctionne, par exemple pour une gamme de fréquence [1,5 Mhz, 30 Mhz].
- La
figure 1 représente un exemple d'antenne selon l'invention destinée à être positionnée sur un engin submersible (figure 3 , par exemple). L'antenne 1 comporte un premier élément antennaire ayant une forme de boucle 2 comprenant une première extrémité 21 reliée à un premier point correspondant à la sortie 4s d'une boîte d'accord 4 et une deuxième extrémité 22 reliée à un point commun M, la boucle ayant une forme donnée, un deuxième élément antennaire en forme de boucle 3 symétrique du premier élément antennaire en boucle 2 par rapport à un axe de symétrie A, la deuxième boucle 3 comprenant une première extrémité 31 reliée à un deuxième point correspondant par exemple à la sortie 5s d'une deuxième boîte d'accord 5 et une deuxième extrémité 32 reliée au point commun M, ayant une forme similaire à la forme de la première boucle, un dispositif d'alimentation détaillé enfigure 2 est adapté à alimenter les deux boucles en opposition de phase afin que les courants de retour vers la masse se compensent. Les deuxièmes extrémités symétriques 22 et 32 sont reliées mécaniquement et électriquement à un support 10 en matériau conducteur correspondant à l'axe de symétrie, qui permet d'éloigner les boucles de la masse du porteur (engin submersible) sur lequel est installé le système antennaire, de fixer et de connecter électriquement l'ensemble à cette masse du porteur. Les autres premières extrémités 21 et 31 sont respectivement connectées aux sorties de deux boîtes d'accord identiques 4 et 5 (figure 2 ), présentant les mêmes caractéristiques de fonctionnement. - Les boîtes d'accord 4 et 5 ont une conception et un fonctionnement connus de l'homme du métier et ne seront pas détaillées pour faciliter la compréhension de l'invention.
- Comme il est représenté sur la
figure 1 les courants de retour vers la masse i1 et i2 circulent dans les éléments antennaires ou boucles avec des directions opposées. - Une boucle peut être un profilé en matériau conducteur plié pour former une première boucle rectangulaire 2, forme prise comme exemple, et son symétrique, la deuxième boucle rectangulaire 3.
- En utilisation sous l'eau (équipement d'un sous-marin) l'intérieur de l'enceinte est rempli, par exemple d'un matériau diélectrique, de préférence de la mousse polyuréthane, pour la résistance à la pression hydrostatique. En utilisation en surface, l'air est laissé à l'intérieur de l'enceinte.
- La première extrémité 21 de la première boucle 2 est reliée à la sortie 4s de la première boîte d'accord 4, elle-même reliée à une des sorties 7s d'un diviseur de puissance 7 par un câble coaxial de liaison 40. L'entrée 7e du diviseur de puissance sera reliée à un émetteur/récepteur 11 par un câble coaxial 12 (
figure 2 ). - La première extrémité 31 de la deuxième boucle 3 est reliée à la sortie 5s de la deuxième boîte d'accord 5, elle-même reliée à l'autre sortie 7s' du diviseur de puissance 7 par un deuxième câble coaxial de liaison 50.
- L'ensemble est entouré par une enceinte diélectrique 8, constituée par exemple d'un radôme en plastique renforcé 81 et un remplissage de mousse 82.
- L'enceinte diélectrique 8 est fixée à une embase de fixation métallique 9 comprenant des trous de passage 90 pour des vis de fixation selon des moyens connus de l'homme du métier.
- L'antenne protégée pourra ainsi être fixée à un engin submersible comme il est représenté en
figure 3 . - La forme, la géométrie, les dimensions d'un élément antennaire seront choisies notamment en fonction de la gamme de fréquence de travail de l'antenne. Ces dimensions pourront aussi être choisies en fonction d'éventuelles contraintes d'encombrement. La forme et la taille de l'ensemble formé par l'antenne et l'enceinte étanche correspondent, par exemple, à un solide de forme parallélépipédique d'environ 2m*2m*1m.
- Le système antennaire ainsi formé peut être installé dans l'eau sur un engin submersible, sur un navire de surface ou encore sur des véhicules terrestres. L'installation peut se faire directement sur le porteur sans déport contrairement aux structures connues de l'art antérieur.
- L'antenne fonctionne par exemple dans la gamme de fréquence 1,5 à 30 MHz et de préférence entre 2 et 12 MHz. Le mode de rayonnement choisi sera, par exemple, de type onde radio ionosphérique à incidence quasi verticale, plus connu sous l'abréviation anglo-saxonne N.V.I.S pour Near Vertical Incidence Skywaves.
- La
figure 2 représente un schéma fonctionnel de l'antenne selon l'invention. - L'antenne 1 est connectée à un émetteur/récepteur 11 par un câble coaxial 12. Le signal radiofréquence S venant du câble coaxial est divisé par le diviseur de puissance 7 en deux signaux S1, S2, en opposition de phase.
- Le signal S1 est transmis via la première boîte d'accord 4 à la première extrémité 21 de la première boucle 2. La deuxième extrémité 22 de la première boucle est reliée à un point de masse M. La boîte d'accord est constituée par exemple d'une première capacité C1, d'une inductance L et d'une deuxième capacité C2 reliée à une masse M, selon un schéma connu de l'homme du métier.
- Le deuxième signal S2 en opposition de phase au premier signal S1 est transmis via la deuxième boîte d'accord 5 à la première extrémité 31 de la deuxième boucle 3. La deuxième extrémité 32 de la deuxième boucle est reliée à un point de masse M. La deuxième boîte d'accord 5 est identique à la première boîte d'accord 4 et est constituée par exemple d'une première capacité C1, d'une inductance L et d'une deuxième capacité C2 reliée à une masse M, selon un schéma connu de l'homme du métier.
- De par la symétrie des éléments rayonnants, la première boucle et la deuxième boucle, et de par leur alimentation en opposition de phase, les courants de retour RF sont négligeables, voire nuls.
- Placée dans une enceinte étanche et isolante, l'antenne est entièrement isolée de son environnement même conducteur, de l'eau de mer par exemple. Les pertes ohmiques sont ainsi réduites.
- La
figure 3 est un schéma d'utilisation d'un système antennaire selon l'invention disposé sur un engin submersible E. L'engin est immergé à une profondeur H de la surface de la mer. L'antenne communique par exemple avec une base BT disposée à terre à une distance raisonnable. - La
figure 4A et lafigure 4B représentent une variante de réalisation dans laquelle la boîte d'accord 4, la boîte d'accord 5 ainsi que le diviseur de puissance 7 sont adaptés et regroupés en un équipement unique 71. - La
figure 5 schématise une variante dans laquelle on ajoute un noyau ferromagnétique 75, par exemple en ferrite, au centre des deux boucles 2, 3. Le noyau ferromagnétique est, par exemple, positionné et maintenu en place grâce à la mousse de remplissage 82. Ceci permet avantageusement de diminuer la taille de l'antenne avec un même rendement. D'autre part, l'apport de masse permet de compenser la poussée d'Archimède dans la configuration d'utilisation sous l'eau. - La
figure 6A schématise un exemple d'enceinte 60 ayant une forme parallélépipède pouvant être montée sur une paroi verticale. Lafigure 6B représente une variante 61 où l'enceinte de forme parallélépipède est montée sur une surface horizontale. - L'antenne et le système antennaire selon l'invention peuvent être utilisés dans de nombreuses applications pour la transmission de données entre un engin submersible et une base terrestre, la transmission des données s'effectuant par l'ionosphère.
- L'antenne selon l'invention présente notamment les avantages suivants :
- Une possibilité d'intégrer l'antenne à la structure du porteur,
- Pas de déploiement pour mettre l'antenne en configuration opérationnelle,
- Un meilleur rendement,
- Une possibilité de l'associer à des émetteurs de forte puissance typiquement de l'ordre de 1kW.
Claims (9)
- Antenne émettrice et/ou réceptrice (1) destinée à équiper un engin submersible comportant au moins les éléments suivants :• Un élément support (10) en matériau conducteur,• Une première boucle (2) de forme donnée comprenant une première extrémité (21) reliée à un premier point et une deuxième extrémité (22) reliée à un point commun M,• Une deuxième boucle (3) comprenant une première extrémité (31) reliée à un deuxième point et une deuxième extrémité (32) reliée au point commun M ayant une forme similaire à la forme de la première boucle,• Des moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités (21, 31) des deux boucles en opposition de phase, afin que les courants de retour vers le point commun M se compensent,• Une enceinte de protection (8) de la première et de la deuxième boucle,et dans laquelle• Les deux boucles sont symétriques par rapport à un axe de symétrie A correspondant à l'élément support (10),• Le support (10) est relié mécaniquement et électriquement aux deuxièmes extrémités symétriques (22, 32) et au point commun M, et• Le support (10) est configuré pour éloigner le point commun M et les boucles de la masse de l'engin submersible et pour connecter électriquement lesdites deuxièmes extrémités symétriques (22, 32) à la masse de l'engin submersible.
- Antenne selon la revendication 1 caractérisée en ce que les moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités (21, 31) des deux boucles en opposition de phase comportent deux boîtes d'accord identiques (4, 5).
- Antenne selon la revendication 1 caractérisée en ce qu'une boucle (2, 3) a une forme circulaire.
- Antenne selon la revendication 1 caractérisée en ce qu'une boucle (2, 3) a une forme de quadrilatère.
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4 caractérisée en ce que la forme et les dimensions d'une boucle sont adaptées pour un fonctionnement de l'antenne dans une plage de fréquence [1,5MHz, 30MHz].
- Antenne selon l'une des revendications précédentes caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un noyau ferromagnétique (75) positionné au centre des deux boucles.
- Antenne selon la revendication 2 caractérisée en ce que les moyens permettant d'alimenter les premières extrémités (21, 31) des deux boucles en opposition de phase comportent en outre un diviseur de puissance (7) recevant en entrée un signal S émis par un émetteur/récepteur et délivrant un premier signal S1 alimentant la première boucle et un deuxième signal S2 en opposition de phase alimentant une deuxième boucle.
- Antenne selon la revendication 7 caractérisé en ce que les deux boîtes d'accord (4, 5) et le diviseur de puissance (7) sont intégrés dans un même ensemble.
- Système comportant une antenne selon l'une des revendications précédentes et un engin submersible sur lequel est disposé ladite antenne.
