Abstract

The invention relates to a method and to a device for coating a metal strip with a coating material which is at first still liquid, for example zinc. Known devices of this type comprise a coating container (110) with the liquid coating material (300). The metal strip (200) is passed through the coating container in order to be coated. After the metal strip (200) exits the coating container, the still liquid coating material adheres to the metal strip (200); excess coating material (300) is then blown away from the surface of the metal strip (200) by a blowing device. Nach dem Verlassen des Be- schichtungsbehälters durchläuft das Metallband eine oberhalb des Beschich- tungsbehälters angeordnete Abblaseinrichtung zum Abblasen von überflüssigen Teilen des noch flüssigen Beschichtungsmaterials von der Oberfläche des Metallbandes. Oberhalb der Abblaseinrichtung ist eine von der Abblaseinrichtung gestützte elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung angeordnet zur Stabilisierung des Metallbandes nach Verlassen des Beschichtungsbehälters und der Abblaseinrichtung. Die elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung bewirkt insbesondere, dass das Band mittig in einer Mittenebene der gesamten Vorrichtung gehalten wird und dass Schwingungen des Metallbandes während des Durchlaufens durch den Beschichtungsbehälter und die Abblaseinrichtung verhindert oder zumindest reduziert werden. Sowohl die Abblaseinrichtung wie auch die elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung weisen jeweils einen Schlitz auf, durch welchen das Metallband geführt ist. Um eine gleichmäßige Dicke bzw. Dickenverteilung des Beschichtungsmaterials auf der Ober- und Unterseite des Metallbandes zu erreichen, ist es zwingend erforderlich, dass das Metallband in einer vorgegebenen Soll-Mittenlage durch den Schlitz der Abblaseinrichtung läuft. Nur dann ist gewährleistet, dass die Wirkung der Abblasdüsen auf der Ober- und Unterseite des Metalibandes gleich ist und sich eine gewünschte gleichmäßige Dickenverteilung des Beschichtungsmaterials auf dem Metallband einsteilt. Traditionell wird deshalb eine eventuelle Abweichung der Ist-Lage des Metallbandes von der besagten Soll-Mittenlage von einer Bedienperson überwacht und ggf. wird die Abblaseinrichtung in einer Ebene senkrecht zur Transportrichtung des Metallbandes derart verlagert, dass das Metallband wieder in der vorgegebenen Soll-Mittenlage in dem Schlitz der Abblaseinrichtung geführt wird. Eine derartige Verlagerung der Abblaseinrichtung hat jedoch den Nachteil, dass dadurch auch die elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung entsprechend mitverlagert wird, weil diese elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung traditionell, wie z.B. in der DE 10 2008 039 244 A1 beschrieben, abgesehen von einem Freiheitsgrad in vertikaler Richtung, fest mit der Abblaseinrichtung verbunden ist und sich auf dieser abstützt. Die besagte Störung der Führung des Metallbandes durch den Schlitz der Abblaseinrichtung wirkt sich jedoch nicht zwingend notwendig auf die Führung des Metallbandes durch den Schlitz der elektromagnetischen Stabilisierungseinrichtung aus. Deshalb ist die in der DE 10 2008 039 244 A1 beschriebene gleichzeitige Verlagerung der elektromagnetischen Stabilisierungseinrichtung zusammen mit der Abblaseinrichtung grundsätzlich unerwünscht, denn diese führt zu einer unsymmetrischen und damit unerwünschten Veränderung der Krafteinwirkung der elektromagnetischen Stabilisierungseinrichtung auf das Metallband. Ausgehend von diesem Stand der Technik liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein bekanntes Verfahren und eine bekannte Vorrichtung um Beschichten eines Metallbandes dahingehend weiterzubilden, dass eine unerwünschte Verlagerung der elektromagnetischen Stabilisierungseinrichtung im Falle einer Verlagerung der Abblaseinrichtung verhindert wird. Zu diesem Zweck wird die elektromagnetische Stabilisierungseinrichtung gegenüber der Abblaseinrichtung in genau die entgegengesetzte Richtung wie die Abblaseinrichtung bewegt (Kompensation). eine oberhalb des Beschichtungsbehälters angeordnete Abblaseinrichtung (120) zum Abblasen von überschüssigen Teilen des noch flüssigen Be- schichtungsmaterials (300) von der Oberfläche des Metallbandes (200) nach dem Durchleiten des Metallbandes durch den Beschichtungsbehälter;  a blowing device (120) arranged above the coating container for blowing off excess parts of the still liquid coating material (300) from the surface of the metal strip (200) after passing the metal strip through the coating container;
