Description
The invention relates to a method for the production of bed linen and the like, in particular a method for producing a closable pillow or cover.
The manufacturing processes known from the prior art have the disadvantage that they are very complicated and therefore expensive. This is due in particular to the fact that conventional suture connections are frequently used for the connection of the textile layers of the bedding sheaths, but at least for the attachment of the closure means, whereby these seams have to be reworked in order to condition them, for instance to make them down-proof. This is achieved, for example, by sealing the seams with adhesive strips arranged between the textile webs.
It is therefore the object of the invention to develop a method of the type described above in such a way that it enables the most cost-effective production of bedding articles.
This object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1. The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention.
- Already let first and a second textile web, wherein the textile webs are glued with their tops facing each other along their outer edge over their tops with each other using at least a first adhesive seam, wherein the first adhesive seam is interrupted in the region of an opening between the textile webs,
- Folding over an edge of both the first and second textile webs in the area of the opening, so that at least two layers of each textile web are brought into contact via their undersides at the edge and fixing the folded edge by gluing the contacted underside sections, and
- Adhering a first pressure closure strip over substantially the entire length of a first of the two folded edges and adhering a second pressure closure strip complementary to the first pressure closure strip over substantially the entire length of a second of the two folded edges.
There is thus described a method of producing bedding in which the closure means is used for selectively opening and closing the batting sheath, such as for removing and filling the batting sheath with a liner, a closure means formed from selectively engageable snap closure strips. These pressure-sealing strips can be provided as endless goods and glued along the edges forming the opening of the envelope. It is therefore no longer the comparatively complicated sewing zippers, snaps or the like required, whereby the manufacturing process compared to the known from the prior art method is greatly simplified and inexpensive.
The tops of the textile webs can just the opposite outer sides of the finished bed linen cover and the undersides of the insides of the finished bed linen cover form. The pressure-sealing strips can be glued on opposite outer sides of the folded-over edges.
The interlocking complementary pressure closure strips may comprise a plurality of pressure closure lips extending parallel to one another and in the longitudinal direction of the pressure closure strips. The pressure sealing lips may have complementary undercut contours over which they can be engaged with each other. The undercut contours may have hook elements. The pressure-sealing lips can be formed from a resilient plastic material, so that multiple opening and closing of the pressure closure formed by the complementary pressure-sealing strips is possible. Suitable pressure closures are known for example under the trade name Sensogrip Flexico Verpackungen GmbH.
The pressure-sealing strips can be glued to the folded edges, for example with a hot-melt adhesive, in particular with a reactive polyurethane adhesive. In order to avoid a misalignment of these when printing the complementary pressure strip fasteners to each other, whereby the closing properties of the pressure closure strips could be reduced, can be provided immediately after applying the hot melt adhesive on the folded edges, the complementary pressure strip on the still tough adhesive adhesive, followed by the complementary pressure closure strips are pressed against the folded edges so that the complementary pressure closure strips align with each other and are releasably engaged with each other.
A further cost saving in the production can be achieved by using the same hot-melt adhesive for the at least one first adhesive seam and for adhering the first and second pressure-sealing strip, and preferably also for fixing the folded-over edge and for gluing the in Contact brought bottom sections, and thus for all joints, the same hot melt adhesive is used.
To form a rectangular bed linen cover, it can be provided that two textile webs are provided with a constant width over their lengths, wherein each bed linen piece is formed two parallel spaced first adhesive seams perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the textile webs and a further first adhesive seam perpendicular thereto, wherein the parallel spaced apart first adhesive seams of adjacent bedding pieces are separated by a minimum distance from each other, and wherein for separating the bed linen pieces between the spaced by the minimum distance first adhesive seams a cut through both textile webs and over the entire width of the textile webs is performed.
As a reference marker for the cut can be applied between the two parallel spaced first adhesive seams a mark on a material inside of one of the textile webs, which is recognized by a read head of a stacking unit of a machine for making bedding and used as a reference for the cut.
Furthermore, the first and second pressure-sealing strips can be glued onto the folded-over edges in such a way that they project beyond the folded-over edges and thus seal a transition region between the folded-over edges and the respective remaining textile web.
The method can be carried out fully automatically by a bedding making machine, wherein the textile sheets are transported by means of opposite transport rollers to different processing stations of the machine, wherein the folded edges are formed as longitudinal edges of the textile webs, so that the pressure closure strips glued correspondingly along the longitudinal edges be, and wherein the transport rollers are engaged at least at the folded edges with the textile webs and there press the pressure closure strips to the edges. However, the transport rollers can also extend over the entire width of the textile web, ie over the entire dimension of the textile webs perpendicular to their transport direction.
According to yet another aspect, the invention relates to a bedding article made according to the method described above, in particular a closable pillow or blanket cover, wherein the bedding article may be characterized in that all the connection points of the textile webs with each other, including the folded edges and the pressure closure strips with the edges using the same adhesive, preferably by means of the same hot melt adhesive are formed. The bedding piece is therefore characterized by the fact that it has no seams.

- The method according to claim 2, in which the complementary pressure fastener strips (107, 108) are applied to the still viscoplastic adhesive immediately after an application of the hot-melt adhesive to the folded-down edge (106), and wherein the complementary pressure fastener strips (107, 108) are then pressed (g) onto the folded-down edges so that the complementary pressure fastener strips (107, 108) are aligned with one another and rereleasably engaged together.
- The method according to claim 2 or 3, in which the same hot-melt adhesive is used at least for the at least first adhesive seam (104) and for the bonding (d, e) of the first and second pressure fastener strip (107, 108), and wherein the same hot-meld adhesive is also preferably used for fixating (c) the folded-down edges (106) by bonding the underside sections put into contact, and as such for all joints.
- The method according to one of claims 1 to 4, in which the two layers of the respective textile web (101, 102), being positioned on top of each other, are being bonded together via their mutually facing undersides (101.2, 102.2) after folding down (b) the edges (106).
- The method according to one of the previous claims, in which to form a rectangular bed linen cover, two textile webs (101, 102) are provided with a constant width across their lengths, wherein for each bed linen piece two parallelly spaced first adhesive seams (104) are formed perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the textile webs (101, 102) and a further first adhesive seam (104) perpendicularly connecting those is formed, wherein the parallelly spaced first adhesive seams (104) of neighbouring bed linen pieces pieces are spaced apart from each other by a minimum distance, and wherein for separating (h) the bed linen pieces a cut is made through both textile webs (101, 102) and along the entire width of the textile webs (101, 102) between the first adhesive seams (104) spaced apart from each other by a minimal distance.
- The method according to claim 6, in which a mark is applied (i) to an inner side of the material of one of the textile webs (101, 102) between the two parallelly spaced first adhesive seams (104), which is recognised by a reading head of a destacking unit of a machine for assembling bed linen and is used as a reference for the cut.
- The method according to one of the previous claims, in which the first and the second pressure fastener strips (106, 107) are bonded to the folded-down edges (106) so that they inwardly project over the folded-down edges (106) and thereby seal a transitional area between the folded-down edge (106) and the other respective textile web (101, 102).
- The method according to one of the previous claims, which is executed fully automatically by a device (200) for assembling bed linen, wherein the textile webs (101, 102) are transported to different processing stations of the machine using opposing transport rollers (110), wherein the folded-down edges (106) are formed as longitudinal edges of the textile webs (101, 102) so that the pressure fastener strips (107, 108) are bonded accordingly along the longitudinal edges and wherein the transport rollers (109) are at least in contact with the textile webs (101, 102) at the folded-down edges (106), there pressing the pressure strips (107, 108) onto the edges (106).
