Description

The invention relates to a blank for producing a food packaging, comprising: a four-sided bottom wall, a four-sided rear wall, a four-sided front wall, two three-sided side walls, and a tear-open element, wherein the bottom wall and the rear wall are connected together along a fold line, the two Side walls are connected along fold lines opposite to the bottom wall or with the rear wall, and wherein the front wall is connected along a fold line with one of the side walls.

The invention also relates to a food packaging made from such a blank.

From the field of packaging technology numerous packaging for foodstuffs are known. An important function of packaging is to protect the foodstuffs contained in the packaging from environmental influences such as impacts or soiling. Examples of prior art packages are in the documents GB 2 441 586 A . EP 1 022 224 A1 . KR 2014 0122992 A . EP 2 599 733 A1 and GB 2 475 564 A disclosed. Many packages are made from blanks. Blanks are flat webs that have been cut or punched into a specific shape. Due to the defined shape of the blanks, it is achieved that a packaging can be produced from the blanks by means of various folding processes. The shape of the blank therefore determines the shape of the package that can be produced from the blank. In order to minimize the material consumption in the production and the space required for the transport and storage of the packaging, the blanks are often adapted exactly to the shape and size of the food to be packaged.

From the EP 1 799 588 B1 For example, a blank and a package made therefrom for sandwiches are known. A peculiarity of sandwiches is that they are often made from square toast or slices of bread sliced diagonally into two pieces. The resulting sandwich halves thus have a three-sided or triangular shape. Also from the EP 1 799 588 B1 known packaging therefore has a triangular shape.

The in the EP 1 799 588 B1 described packaging has a tear-open, which runs completely through the bottom wall and through the rear wall of the package. When opening the packaging, therefore, both the bottom wall and the rear wall are divided; The front wall and the two triangular side surfaces, however, remain and serve in the open and unfolded state each one of the two sandwich halves as a base.

The from the EP 1 799 588 B1 known opening mechanism has several disadvantages. A disadvantage is that the packaging in the opened and unfolded state assumes a flat and wide shape and is difficult to grip with one hand. In addition, the removal of the sandwich halves from the package is difficult because the sandwich halves are surrounded by a frame formed from the divided bottom wall and the divided rear wall of the package. Both the low compactness and the difficult removal of the sandwich halves are undesirable, especially for fresh food, as they are promptly - and thus usually with the hand and without plates and cutlery - to be removed from the packaging and consumed.

The invention is therefore based on the object, the above-described and previously explained in more detail blank as well as the above-described and previously explained in more detail packaging such and further, that the Packaging is designed compact even in the open and unfolded state and allows easy access to its contents.

In a blank according to the preamble of claim 1, this object is achieved in that the tearing element extends through both side walls and extends either through the bottom wall or alternatively through the rear wall, that the tearing element has two kinks that the first kink in the region of the fold line between the first side wall and the adjoining bottom wall or rear wall is arranged and that the second kink in the region of the fold line between the second side wall and the adjoining bottom wall or rear wall is arranged. A blank according to the invention serves to produce packaging for foodstuffs. The preparation can be done for example by folding and gluing the blank. The blank comprises a four-sided bottom wall, a four-sided rear wall, a four-sided front wall and two three-sided side walls. The bottom wall and / or the rear wall and / or the front wall may be rectangular in shape, for example. The two side walls may, for example, have the shape of a right-angled isosceles triangle. The blank also includes a tear-open element. By way of example, the tear-open element may be a strip which is intended to be separated from the adjacent areas of the blank (or the package produced therefrom). For example, the tearing member may include material reinforcements (e.g., a tension-proof thread) and / or may be limited by material weakenings (e.g., perforations). The bottom wall and the rear wall of the blank are connected together along a fold line. The two side walls are connected along fold lines opposite to the bottom wall or to the rear wall. The front wall is connected to one of the side walls along a fold line. The fold lines are intended to facilitate the folding of the blank; They can be realized, for example, by a material weakening, in particular by a perforation or an embossing or creasing of the blank.

According to the invention, the tearing element extends through both side walls and either through the bottom wall or alternatively through the rear wall. In other words, the tear-open element should pass through both side walls; but it should additionally run only either through the bottom wall or alternatively through the rear wall. The tear-open element should therefore not run through the bottom wall and through the rear wall, but only through one of these two surfaces. This solution ensures that when tearing the packaging, the bottom wall or the rear wall remain undamaged. By leaving one of these surfaces undamaged, the package produced from the blank retains a compact shape, even when torn open and unfolded. In addition, the undamaged surface (ie the bottom wall or the rear wall) with the adjoining parts of the two divided side walls forms a one-sided open, well-tangible shell. The two sandwich halves can stand with one of their pointed corners in the open package, while they protrude with the other sharp corners of the opened packaging and therefore can be easily grasped and removed. According to the invention, it is provided that the tear-open element has two kinks. A kink is understood as a change of direction. A tear-open element with creases does not run straight, but changes its direction. By this feature, the course of the tearing element can be controlled specifically. In particular, kinks allow an improved course of the tearing element when the tearing element is not at right angles, but extends obliquely to a folding edge. Both creases preferably have the same bending angle. According to one embodiment of the blank, it is proposed that the two kinks have bending angles in the range between 130 ° and 140 °. In particular, the bending angle can be about 135 °. Bending angles in this area allow a level separation of the packaging when the tearing element in the region of the two side surfaces at an angle of 45 ° to the fold edge. According to the invention, it is further provided that the first bend is arranged in the region of the fold line between the first side wall and the bottom wall or rear wall adjoining thereto, and that the second bend is in the region of Folding line between the second side wall and the adjoining bottom wall or rear wall is arranged. By the kinks of the tearing element are arranged on the fold lines, the tearing element runs straight in the region of the wall surfaces, so that a planar separation of the packaging is achieved.

According to a further embodiment of the blank it is provided that the front wall has a window made of a transparent plastic. Through the window, the consumer can recognize the contents of the packaging. The window can also meet the purpose with a suitable choice of material, the package in the open state simply open and close again. The window is preferably made of a plastic film.

As an alternative or in addition to this embodiment, it is provided that at least one of the side walls has a window made of a transparent plastic. Preferably, that side wall has a window which is connected to the front wall. The arrangement of the window in two adjacent walls has the advantage that the window can be formed by a single plastic film which extends in both walls and which is bent in the folding of the packaging.

The window may have an incision according to another embodiment. The incision has the function of a "predetermined breaking point" and serves, for example, to facilitate the unfolding of the folded packaging from the blank. Preferably, the recess is arranged in the region of the window which is associated with the side wall. Preferably, the incision runs along the direction of the tearing element, which also extends through the side wall. Instead of an incision, it is also possible to provide a material weakening, such as a perforation.

According to a further embodiment of the blank, it is provided that the bottom wall has a connecting plate, which along a fold line with the Bottom wall is connected. Alternatively or additionally, it may be provided that the rear wall has a connection tab which is connected to the rear wall along a folding line. Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that one of the side walls has a connection tab which is connected to this side wall along a folding line. The connecting straps serve the purpose of connecting the connected walls (bottom wall, rear wall, side wall) with the front wall, for example, to bond. Since the walls to be joined are arranged at an angle to each other, the connecting straps must be folded over in order to run parallel to the front wall. To facilitate this, fold lines are provided.

The blank may be supplemented according to a further embodiment by at least one connecting surface, which connects one of the side walls with the rear wall or with the bottom wall and is connected along fold lines with the adjacent walls. The bonding surfaces provide a more robust connection between wall surfaces joined by them. The bonding surfaces are intended to be folded inwardly during the folding of the blank so that they do not form an outer surface of the package. By folded by 180 ° connecting surfaces an increase in the wall thickness of the package is achieved. This allows better protection of the contents of the packaging.

To this training is further proposed that the connecting surface has a fold line which extends centrally through the connecting surface. If a plurality of connection surfaces are provided, preferably all connection surfaces have a fold line. The fold line enables targeted folding of the joining surfaces along a defined path.

According to a further embodiment of the blank is provided that the blank is made of paper or cardboard. Paper and cardboard are characterized by low costs, low weight and good suitability for recycling (Recycling). Preferably, the blank is integrally formed. By a one-piece or one-piece blank, the production of the packaging is facilitated. Because the individual surfaces of the blank need only be folded along fold lines and possibly joined together. Unlike a package that is made of multiple or multi-part blanks, eliminating the costly assembly of different blanks.

For this embodiment, it is further proposed that the blank has a thickness in the range between 250 g / m 2 and 300 g / m 2 . Blanks having a strength or basis weight in this range have been proven and represent a good compromise between low cost and sufficient rigidity. The above-described object is also achieved by a packaging for food, which is made from one of the previously described blanks. From the blank can be produced by suitable manufacturing steps, for example by folding and gluing, a package with the desired properties. As well as the blank, a package made therefrom also comprises a four-sided bottom wall, a four-sided rear wall, a four-sided front wall, two three-sided side walls, and a tear-open element, wherein the bottom wall and the rear wall are connected along a fold line, the two side walls being along fold lines are connected opposite to the bottom wall or to the rear wall, and wherein the front wall is connected along a fold line with one of the side walls. In addition, it is also provided in the case of the package produced from the blank that the tearing element extends through both side walls and extends either through the bottom wall or alternatively through the rear wall.

In Fig. 1 an inventive blank 1 is shown in a plan view. The blank 1 is made of cardboard and comprises a four-sided bottom wall 2 and a four-sided rear wall 3. The bottom wall 2 and the rear wall 3 are connected together along a folding line 4. The blank 1 also comprises a first side wall 5A and a second side wall 5B. Both side walls 5A, 5B are formed on three sides and connected to the rear wall 3 along folding lines 4. The side walls 5A, 5B are arranged on opposite sides of the rear wall 3. The blank 1 further comprises a four-sided front wall 6, which along a Fold line is connected to the first side wall 5A. In addition, the blank 1 has a tear-open element 7, which is provided at one of its ends with a handle 8. The tearing element 7 is limited by perforations 9.

The tear-open element 7 extends exclusively through both side walls 5A, 5B and through the rear wall 3 arranged between these side walls 5A, 5B. By other regions of the blank 1 -in particular through the bottom wall 2 -the tearing element 7 does not extend. The tearing element 7 comprises three sections 7A, 7B, 7C and has two creases 10A, 10B with bending angles α, β in the range between 130 ° and 140 °. The first portion 7A passes through the first side wall 5A, the second portion 7B passes through the second side wall 5B, and the third portion 7C disposed between the first portion 7A and the second portion 7B passes through the rear wall 3. The first kink 10A is disposed in the region of the fold line 4 between the first side wall 5A and the rear wall 3 adjoining thereto (ie between the first section 7A and the third section 7C) and the second bend 10B is located in the region of the fold line 4 between the second side wall 5B and adjoining rear wall 3 (ie, between the second portion 7B and the third portion 7C).

The front wall 6 of the blank 1 has a window 11 made of a transparent plastic. The window 11 extends from the front wall 6 into a part of the side wall 5A. The window 11 is connected to the inside of the front wall 6 and to the inside of a part of the front wall 5A, for example glued. The bottom wall 2 has a connecting strap 12 which is connected to the bottom wall 2 along a folding line 4. Also, the rear wall 3 has a connecting plate 13 which is connected along a fold line 4 with the rear wall 3. Likewise, the second side wall 5B has a connection tab 14 which is connected along a fold line 4 to this side wall 5B.

The blank 1 also comprises two connecting surfaces 15A, 15B. The first connection surface 15A connects the first side wall 5A with the bottom wall 2 and the second connection surface 15B connects the second side wall 5B to the bottom wall 2. The two connection surfaces 15A, 15B are connected along fold lines 4 to the adjacent walls 2, 5A, 5B. Both connecting surfaces 15A, 15B have a folding line 4 that runs centrally through the connecting surfaces 15A, 15B.

Fig. 2 shows the blank 1 from Fig. 1 in the partially folded state from the front. Already related to Fig. 1 described areas of the blank 1 are in Fig. 2 provided with corresponding reference numerals. At the in Fig. 2 In the illustrated configuration, the bottom wall 2 and the associated portions (connecting tab 12 and connecting surfaces 15A, 15B) have been folded back by 180 ° along folding lines 4. The folded back areas are therefore in Fig. 2 covered. The rear wall 3 is approximately congruent with the bottom wall 2 and covers it. Also, the first side wall 5A covers the first connection surface 15A, and the second side wall 5B covers the second connection surface 15B.

In Fig. 3 is the blank 1 off Fig. 1 in the partially folded state shown from the back. Already related to Fig. 1 or Fig. 2 described areas of the blank 1 are in Fig. 3 provided with corresponding reference numerals. In the Fig. 3 illustrated configuration of the blank 1 corresponds to the rotated by 180 ° configuration Fig. 2 , so that the areas of the blank 1 hidden there are now visible. These areas are the bottom wall 2 and the associated areas (connecting tab 12 and connecting surfaces 15A, 15B). Visible is also an incision 18 in the window 11, which serves to facilitate the unfolding of the packaging.

Fig. 4 shows a package 16 according to the invention in the closed state in a perspective view. The packaging 16 is made from the previously described blank 1, so that also in Fig. 4 already related to Fig. 1 to Fig. 3 described areas of the blank 1 with corresponding reference numerals are provided. The packaging 16 lies on the (in Fig. 4 hidden) front wall 6. The (in Fig. 4 concealed) first side wall 5A and the second side wall 5B are arranged approximately parallel to each other, so that the package 16 has a three-sided or triangular shape as a whole. The blank 1 has been folded such that at the fold lines 4 between the bottom wall 2, the rear wall 3 and the two side walls 5A, 5B arise angles of approximately 90 °. The connecting tabs 12, 13, 14 have also been folded relative to the walls connected to them (bottom wall 2, rear wall 3 and second side wall 5B). An angle of approximately 90 ° arises between the connecting strap 14 and the second side wall 5B, while angles of approximately 135 ° arise between the two connecting straps 12, 13 and the bottom wall 2 or the rear wall 3. By a convolution with such angles, the three connection tabs 12, 13, 14 lie flat on the back of the front wall 6 and are connected to the front wall 6, for example glued. In the package 16, a triangular interior 17 forms, which can serve, for example, to receive a cut into two triangular halves sandwich.

In Fig. 5 the packaging is 16 off Fig. 4 in the partially open state shown in two perspective views. Already related to Fig. 1 to Fig. 4 described areas of the blank 1 and the package 16 are in Fig. 5 provided with corresponding reference numerals. In the first (left) view, the package 16 is shown with respect to the front wall 6 and the first side wall 5A. In the second view (on the right), the bottom wall 2 is additionally recognizable. Both views relate to a partially opened state, in which the tear-open element 7 is already partially separated from the first side wall 5A in its first section 7A.

Fig. 6 shows the package 16 Fig. 4 in partially open state in perspective view. Already related to Fig. 1 to Fig. 5 described areas of the blank 1 and the package 16 are in Fig. 6 provided with corresponding reference numerals. The perspective in Fig. 6 equals to Perspective in Fig. 4 ; the difference is that the in Fig. 6 shown packaging 16 is already largely open: The tearing element 7 is already completely from the (in Fig. 6 hidden) first side wall 5A and the rear wall 3 while still partially connected to the second side wall 5B.

In Fig. 7 the packaging is 16 off Fig. 4 shown in the open and partially unfolded state in a perspective view. Already related to Fig. 1 to Fig. 6 described areas of the blank 1 and the package 16 are in Fig. 7 provided with corresponding reference numerals. The tearing member 7 has been completely torn so that the first side wall 5A and the second side wall 5B have been separated. In addition, the bottom wall 2 was separated from the rear wall 3. The separation makes it possible to unfold the package 16 by deforming the front wall 6 (and the window 11). The incision 18 of the window 11 facilitates the opening of the package 16 by the formation of a gap.

Fig. 8 finally shows the packaging Fig. 4 in open and unfolded state in perspective view. Already related to Fig. 1 to Fig. 7 described areas of the blank 1 and the package 16 are in Fig. 8 provided with corresponding reference numerals. Compared to Fig. 7 is the packaging in Fig. 8 further opened. This is done by further deformation of the front wall 6 and the window 11 arranged therein. In the open position, contents can be removed from the interior 17 of the packaging 16 in a simple manner. The gap formed by the recess 18 of the window 11 has compared to Fig. 7 further enlarged.
