Ferner ist die Größe der Werkzeuggabel 14 so bemessen, dass sie mit den Abmessungen der Befestigungsabschnitte 9a, 9b korrespondiert. Die Einstellwerkzeuge 11,12 weisen weiterhin an dem zu der Gabel 14 entgegen gesetzten Ende eine Halteschlaufe 15 auf, womit ein Geigenbauer die Einstellwerkzeuge 11,12 ergreifen kann. Die Halteschlaufe 15 ist mit der Werkzeuggabel 14 über einen gebogenen Schaft 13 verbunden. Der gebogene Schaft 13 des ersten Werkzeugs 11 ist dabei länger ausgebildet als der Schaft 13 des zweiten Werkzeugs 12. Damit kann der Geigenbauer zum Einsetzen bzw. an Position Festhalten des Stimmstocks 1 innerhalb des Instruments das erste Einstellwerkzeug 11 und zum Drehen und Einstellen der Höhe das zweite Einstellwerkzeug 12 einsetzen. Dadurch, dass der Stimmstock 1 an einer vorbestimmten Stelle innerhalb des Instruments, wie Fig. 3 zeigt, angeordnet werden muss, das näher zu dem ersten F-Loch 24 liegt als zu dem zweiten F-Loch 25, kann durch die unterschiedliche Länge der Werkzeuge diese Differenz ausgeglichen werden und der Stimmstock 1 mit beiden Einstellwerkzeugen 11,12 gut erreicht und eingestellt werden.     - the threaded portion (7) has a fine thread and
    - a scale (10) having an equidistant gradation is arranged on one of the at least two sound post components (2, 3), the gradation of the scale (10) corresponding to the pitch of the fine thread.
  2. Sound post (1) according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the sound post components consist of fibre-reinforced plastics material, preferably of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics material.
  3. Sound post (1) according to either claim 1 or claim 2,
    characterised in that
    the sound post (1) is substantially cylindrical and has at least two fastening portions (9a, 9b), which are of a polygonal cross-section, preferably being octagonal in cross-section.
  4. Sound post (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 3,
    characterised in that
    each end piece (5) has a portion (5a) shaped as part of a ball and a planar terminating surface (5b), and in that
    a recess (6) shaped as part of a ball, in which the portion (5a) shaped as part of a ball is received, is provided on each of the end faces (4) of the sound post (1).
  5. Sound post (1) according to claim 4,
    characterised in that
    for fastening the end piece (5) each recess (6) has a border or magnetic fastening aids at the edge.
  6. Sound post toolset for assembling a sound post (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 5 between the front and back of a string instrument,
    comprising
    the sound post (1) and
    at least one adjusting tool (11, 12), which has a fork portion (14), a shaft (13) and a holding portion, the shaft (13) being arc-shaped and being of a length corresponding to at least a length of a span extending from a predetermined string instrument f-hole (24, 25) to a position predetermined for the sound post (1) on a string instrument back.
  7. Set according to claim 6,
    characterised in that
    the toolset comprises an insertion tool (16) for inserting the sound post (1) into a string instrument, the insertion tool (16) having an angled shaft (17) and a toothed portion (18).
  8. Set according to either claim 6 or claim 7,
    characterised in that
    the shaft (13) of the adjustment tool (11, 12) and the angled shaft (17) of the insertion tool (16) are encased in plastics material.
  9. Set according to at least one of claims 6 to 8,
    characterised in that
    the first adjustment tool (11) has a longer shaft (13) than the second adjustment tool (12).
  10. Method for mounting a sound post according to at least one of claims 1 to 5 into or out of a string instrument using a sound post toolset according to at least one of claims 6 to 9, comprising the steps of
    - providing and pre-adjusting the sound post (1) at a predetermined height, which is predetermined by the distance between the front and back of the string instrument,
    - by means of the insertion tool (16) inserting the sound post (1) through a first f-hole (24) of the string instrument and positioning the sound post (1) in a predetermined position inside the string instrument,
    - inserting the fork portion (14) of the first adjustment tool (11) into a second f-hole (25) and by means of the first adjustment tool (11) on the first fastening portion (9a) of the sound post (1) holding the first fastening portion (9a) in place;
    - inserting the fork portion (14) of the second adjustment tool (12) into the first f-hole (24) and by means of the second adjustment tool (12) grasping the second fastening portion (9b) of the sound post (1), meanwhile incrementally turning the second sound post component (3), and thus pressing or detensioning the planar terminating surface (5b) of the end pieces (5) against the front and back of the string instrument.
