  • the display device for the electrical appliance has a flat component carrier and a holding device for this component carrier.
  • the component carrier is to be installed in an electrical appliance or attached as a display, so that a holder of the display device takes place within the electrical appliance or on the electrical appliance via this holding device.
  • at least two cuboid or block-like lighting elements are provided on the component carrier for the display.
  • several, in particular most or even all, lighting elements on the component carrier or on a display device are largely identical.
  • the light-emitting elements have luminous upper sides which point away from the component carrier and which point upwards and in particular toward a later display aperture.
  • luminous tops are up and above all, the upper surfaces of a display device or a component carrier are in a common plane.
  • light elements or below light sources are provided, preferably LED.
  • Under lighting elements with luminous tops should also be understood here general display elements with corresponding display tops, these display elements, if they also contain light sources such as LED form lighting elements. Their tops are then luminous tops accordingly.
  • the display device has at least one cover over the luminous elements, which consists of translucent and flexible or soft or elastic flat material.
  • This cover rests on the luminous upper sides of the luminous elements, advantageously to a large extent or with more than 50% of the area of the luminous upper sides, in particular covering all luminous upper sides of all luminous elements on the component carrier.
  • the cover is attached to the display device and thus a part of this. On this attachment will be discussed in more detail below.
  • the cover with the display device forms a structural unit.
  • the display device or this unit can later be installed in an electrical appliance, for example a hob.
  • the translucent and flexible sheet material as a cover can thus a kind of protective layer or leveling layer or matching layer between the luminous element or Leuchtoberseite and a bottom of a display bezel or cover or the like., Which extends over the display device to be created. For example, unevenness can be compensated for and / or a protective function can be achieved.
  • the cover has an upper side and a lower side. With the bottom it rests on the luminous top of the lighting elements, and with the top it can rest against the underside of a display bezel of an electrical appliance, for example, a hob plate of a hob, under which the display device is arranged.
  • a display bezel of an electrical appliance for example, a hob plate of a hob, under which the display device is arranged.
  • the luminous top of a luminous element can be provided with an opaque coating.
  • This coating has at least one cutout per luminous element for the illuminated display.
  • no coating is provided or light can occur in the appropriate form due to the section of the luminous element.
  • a substantially large-area or full-surface coating of the luminous upper side can first take place, and then this coating is worked out with a specific pattern or a specific symbol shape as a cut-out or here the coating is removed.
  • Such a removal of a coating is carried out particularly advantageously with laser.
  • the coating is opaque, a light transmission is now given in the exposed areas or sections above the luminous top. The light can radiate through an overlying translucent or transparent cover.
  • the coating can also be applied with a cutout in the form of a symbol, letter form or number form on the upper side of the luminous element for radiating through this section by means of an underlying luminous source.
  • the cover may be provided on the top and / or bottom with an opaque coating, the coating over at least one light element has a cutout in symbol form, letter form or number form for irradiating the section by means of the underlying luminous element.
  • the opaque coating could also be applied to the luminous upper sides of the luminous elements, but this is considered less advantageous here.
  • the opaque coating it is possible here for the opaque coating to be applied to an upper side and / or a lower side of the cover, thereby releasing the cutouts immediately during production. Then the coating becomes equal in the desired shape with certain patterns or specific symbol shapes as cutouts and is then finished, so to speak.
  • the cutout by removing a part of the coating which was originally also applied over the cutout to the cover or over a large area or over the entire surface.
  • removal of the coating by means of laser is considered to be very advantageous.
  • This is known in principle for individual lighting elements, see, for example, the aforementioned DE 102009036161 A1 .
  • this coating is processed with certain patterns or specific symbol shapes as cutouts or here the coating is removed.
  • the coating can first be applied to the top of the cover before the cover is fastened above the luminous elements or on the display device. Then the cutouts can be produced depending on the variant in the cover by removing the coating in the desired shape, advantageously by means of laser. So you do not have to produce several different variants. And above all, it is possible to dispense with a variant-dependent production of the luminous elements, which otherwise have a coating or masking or the like. would be provided, which is variant-dependent.
  • the coating is opaque to light, there is now a light transmission above one or more light-emitting elements in the released or uncovered areas or cut-outs. These not only appear as simple mostly rectangular illuminated areas, but cause the display of illuminated or luminous patterns or symbol shapes.
  • thin and / or elongated projections in the manner of ribs or webs can protrude downwards on the underside of the cover and engage between at least two lighting elements. They are advantageously integrally formed on the underside. You can thus avoid overshoot between individual lighting elements.
  • the webs may extend at least to below the luminous upper sides of the luminous elements, preferably down to at least half the height of the luminous elements.
  • the display device has a single cover, so that only a single part must be attached or attached to the display device.
  • the cover extends consistently over the lighting elements.
  • a cover covers or passes over a plurality of lighting elements or all lighting elements of the display device.
  • the cover can cover at least 50% of the surface area of the component carrier, wherein it expediently forms a substantially closed and simply formed surface, for example essentially a rectangle. This area then extends only so far above the component carrier, as is necessary to cover the lighting elements. Thus, it is not the entire component carrier or its holding device or the entire display device must be covered by the cover.
  • the cover is advantageous overall translucent or transparent and can be virtually not perceived from above. Due to the translucency of the cover in the manufactured cutouts with patterns or symbol shapes in the second basic embodiment of the invention, it can not be perceived virtually from above or disturbs the display function of the display device here. It forms a kind of masking to represent illuminated symbols, numbers or letters. Further good optical properties of the display can be achieved in that the cover at least above the lighting elements has a flat top and / or a flat bottom. This also improves a uniform contact of the lighting elements on a lower side of a display bezel.
  • the cover has a constant or constant thickness, for example, everywhere over the luminous elements. The thickness can be relatively small and not more than 5 mm.
  • it is 0.2 mm to 2 mm, particularly advantageously 0.4 mm to 0.8 mm.
  • the cover on at least two sides, which may be in particular opposite sides, be attached to the component carrier and / or on the holding device.
  • An attachment of the cover on the holding device or on the component carrier may advantageously be positive fit.
  • Particularly advantageous is a positive fastening solvable or can be solved manually again, for example, for repair purposes.
  • the cover along at least two sides, particularly advantageous exactly along two sides, one down has drawn edge. This can be narrow, but it can also be so wide that it occupies almost the height of the holding device. At this edge fastening means for the aforementioned locking or clamping connection of the cover are advantageously provided on the holding device.
  • a possible material for the production of the cover is silicone, so that the cover can be made of silicone or consists thereof.
  • This is as transparent as possible transparent silicone, particularly advantageous just transparent except for the aforementioned cover or coating. It should be relatively soft and may more preferably have a hardness of 50 to 70 Shore (A), preferably about 60 Shore (A). It is preferably also electrically insulating and thermally insulating.
  • the cover can thus be designed as a kind of mat or mat-like, preferably with a rectangular base.
  • the cover may not be particularly dimensionally stable due to the material used, especially in soft or elastic silicone. It can preferably achieve its essential dimensional stability when it is attached to the holding device or to the component carrier, that is to say to the display device. Even then, their stability is essentially necessary only in the direction of pressure on the cover or the display device from above.
  • the component carrier has capacitive sensor elements to form a capacitive touch switch on the display device.
  • capacitive sensor elements lie approximately in the same plane or extend in this plane as the luminous upper sides of the luminous elements.
  • the capacitive sensor elements are still slightly above the luminous upper sides. They should exceed this by at least 1 mm. However, not only the luminous top should rest against the cover or be covered by this, but also the sensor elements.
  • a capacitive sensor element is arranged on the upper side of a luminous element or on top of the luminous element. It is particularly advantageously arranged laterally next to the luminous upper side or surrounds the luminous upper side.
  • the capacitive sensor element can have a plurality of narrow longitudinal sections or even only pin-like projections, that is to say does not have to be a coherent surface, as is the case with the aforementioned EP 2809006 A1 shows.
  • the capacitive sensor element or its sections can be arranged laterally next to the luminous upper side or approximately surround the luminous upper side.
  • the luminous top is not dominated by any other component on the component carrier of the holding device, if you do not count the cover here.
  • the luminous top is surmounted only by the capacitive sensor elements, if any such are provided.
  • this projection can be low and at most 2 mm, advantageously 0.7 mm to 1.5 mm.
  • the electrical device according to the invention with the display device described above on a display bezel.
  • a display Under this display panel, a display is provided with a display device having the light emitting elements as the light source and the cover having the opaque coating having the broken patterns or symbol shapes therein.
  • This display panel runs over the display device and closes it or makes it suitable for use and possibly very robust for the desired use.
  • the display device is pressed from below to the display bezel and thus abuts on the bottom. This has the advantage of the aforementioned exact definition of the distances between the luminous elements and the underside of the display bezel.
  • the electrical appliance is a hob and has a hob plate, which then serves as a display screen.
  • the display device is pressed against the underside of the hob plate, which is advantageously a glass ceramic hob plate.
  • the hob plate on its underside on a structure which has elevations and depressions. This is usually formed in a glass ceramic cooktop as a kind Noppung, as the DE 4104983 C1 shows.
  • the elevations should have a maximum height of 1 mm, advantageously only about 0.1 mm to 0.7 mm.
