Claims (6)

  1. Method for producing a custom seat, characterised in that it includes the following steps:
    - providing an orthopaedic positioning device, especially for a wheelchair, including a seat or base secured to a securing plate that can be adjusted from the front to the rear and different supports, especially pelvic supports, adduction supports, and abduction supports, wherein the supports are stackable supports and are positioned on predefined locations on the seat or base, and wherein the supports interlock and are covered with a gripping fabric, enabling Velcro fastening, marks being visible on the seat or base,
    - positioning the supports on the seat or base to infer measurements therefrom,
    - reporting in a measurement sheet the markers visible on the seat or base, as well as the supports selected, to ascertain the sought location, and
    - manufacturing a foam seat based on the measurements made by milling a foam block.
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that it further includes a step during which an ischium insert is positioned between the pelvic, adduction, and abduction supports.
  3. Method according to claim 2, characterised in that it further includes a step wherein the custom seat is covered with a seat cover that is adjustable to different shapes, of which the part in contact with the user will be made of waterproofed elastane fibre that is stretchable lengthwise and widthwise.
  4. Method according to claim 3, characterised in that it further includes a step during which pressure sensors are installed on one or more of the elements.
  5. Method according to claim 2, characterised in that the insert can be made of foam, of viscoelastic polyurethane gel, with pneumatic cells with at least one inflation zone, or several inflation zones, or with all types of material capable of supporting ischia.
  6. Method for producing a seat, characterised in that it includes:
