Definitions
- the field of the present invention is that of the cleaning agents for the inside of decanters, in particular of wine decanters, for the removal of wine residues and limescale.
- the cleaning of the inside of decanters in general and of wine decanters in particular presents a challenge in catering and household, especially the more intricate these vessels are made (e.g., by providing a narrower, longer neck).
- the cleaning result achieved with conventional cleaning methods is at least unsatisfactory, at least after reasonable effort, and often not all areas of the inside are accessible to such cleaning methods.
- limescale limestone scale, chalk stains, limescale
- cleaning beads eg of metal
- decanters especially for wine decanters
- marketed to remove the impurities on the inside of the carafe by mechanical action during agitation of the decanter.
- the cleaning is sometimes not successful, bottlenecks are not accessible to the cleaning beads and because of their size Repeated use for a long time can scratch the inside of the carafe.
- the handling of cleaning beads is rather expensive.
- the US 2014/0283877 A1 also discloses a device for cleaning vessels, in particular weed edgers (see paragraph [0024] of the document).
- the removal of wine or lime residues should be facilitated.
- the formation of lime residues by the cleaning itself should be avoided as far as possible.
- the generation of scratches, clouding and / or discoloration on the inside should also be contained or prevented over a long period of time by repeated application of the present invention, in comparison to methods or products known in the art for cleaning.
- the present invention provides a cleaning tablet.
- the cleaning tablet according to the present invention comprises bicarbonate, citric acid, surfactant, bleach, bleach activator and complexing agent.
- the common mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is 30% -70%, and the molar ratio between bicarbonate and citric acid between 1: 1 and 4: 1.
- dentifrice purging tablet typical flavoring agent (0.5% by weight peppermint powder) in the embodiment of the document demonstrates that the denture purging tablets are unsuitable for use in accordance with the present invention, because flavors typical of denture purging tablets (even in traces) are sensory of taste when distilling the water or, to a particular extent, the wine from the carafe.
- the use of the cleaning tablet is as follows: The carafe is pre-filled with warm tap water and the cleaning tablet is placed in the decanter for dissolution. The dissolved cleaning tablet is allowed to act on the inside of the decanter for 10 to 20 minutes (or even overnight), after which the decanter is rinsed several times with tap water until no more foam is visible. Since the capacity of the in situ citrate for the complexation of lime is temperature dependent, a water temperature of 40 ° C-50 ° C is recommended at the beginning of the cleaning - the use of much hotter water is usually to be avoided.
- the combined mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is at least 32%, more preferably at least 34%, even more preferably at least 36%. Furthermore, the combined mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is preferably at most 65%, more preferably at most 60%, even more preferably at most 55%, in particular at most 50%.
- the bicarbonate is preferably in the form of sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate, in particular potassium hydrogen carbonate, in the cleaning tablet according to the present invention.
- the citric acid is preferably present in anhydrous form in the cleaning tablet according to the invention.
- citrate for example trisodium citrate, as complexing agent
- carbonate for example sodium carbonate
- the molar ratio between bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet is between 1.5: 1 and 3.75: 1, preferably between 2: 1 and 3.5: 1, more preferably between 2.5: 1 and 3.25: 1, more preferably between 2.75: 1 and 3.125: 1, in particular substantially 3: 1, because this corresponds to the stoichiometry of the reaction of bicarbonate with citric acid upon dissolution of the cleaning tablet.

Description
The field of the present invention is that of the cleaning agents for the inside of decanters, in particular of wine decanters, for the removal of wine residues and limescale.
The cleaning of the inside of decanters in general and of wine decanters in particular presents a challenge in catering and household, especially the more intricate these vessels are made (e.g., by providing a narrower, longer neck). The cleaning result achieved with conventional cleaning methods (for example by means of a brush) is at least unsatisfactory, at least after reasonable effort, and often not all areas of the inside are accessible to such cleaning methods.
A particular problem is the prevention of limescale (lime scale, chalk stains, limescale) on the inside of the decanter, which are usually very well visible and can leave an ugly impression by the mostly fine touch and the sometimes high crystal glass quality of decanters. The highly visible residues of wine, especially red wine, are usually difficult to remove.
It should also be noted that conventional cleaning methods (e.g., by means of a brush) are sometimes abrasive and, after repeated use over a long period of time, cloud the carafe, which may also leave an unattractive impression. For reasons of hygiene and taste, too, especially in the catering industry, a thorough cleaning which can be achieved with reasonable effort can be essential.
In the prior art, various methods and products are known, which deal with the problem described above.
Thus, for example, "cleaning beads" (eg of metal) for decanters, especially for wine decanters, marketed to remove the impurities on the inside of the carafe by mechanical action during agitation of the decanter. The cleaning is sometimes not successful, bottlenecks are not accessible to the cleaning beads and because of their size Repeated use for a long time can scratch the inside of the carafe. In addition, the handling of cleaning beads is rather expensive.

The variety of home remedies, discussions, advice and the like on the Internet testifies that the prior art has not yet solved the problem of cleaning the inside of carafes to the satisfaction of household or catering.
Thus, it is an object of the present invention to provide an easy-to-use product or method for cleaning the inside of decanters, in particular of wine decanters available. In particular, the removal of wine or lime residues should be facilitated. Furthermore, the formation of lime residues by the cleaning itself should be avoided as far as possible. Finally, the generation of scratches, clouding and / or discoloration on the inside should also be contained or prevented over a long period of time by repeated application of the present invention, in comparison to methods or products known in the art for cleaning.
Therefore, the present invention provides a cleaning tablet. The cleaning tablet according to the present invention comprises bicarbonate, citric acid, surfactant, bleach, bleach activator and complexing agent. The common mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is 30% -70%, and the molar ratio between bicarbonate and citric acid between 1: 1 and 4: 1.
It has surprisingly been found that with the cleaning tablet of the invention usually - in contrast to products and methods in the prior art - no stronger mechanical action on the inside of the decanter (eg by brushing) for satisfactory cleaning (eg of lime or red wine residues) is necessary. The prior art does not know such cleaning tablets for decanters; probably because it was previously assumed that in any case stronger mechanical action on the inside (eg by brushing or "cleaning beads") is required for satisfactory cleaning. Among other things, the inventively high mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet (eg compared to "Geschirrspültabs") in the molar ratio according to the invention on dissolution of the cleaning tablet causes the formation of gas bubbles of carbon dioxide. The rising of these gas bubbles ("bubbling") in the carafe, as surprisingly found in the course of the present invention, is usually sufficient for satisfactory cleaning mechanical action for removing residues from the inside (especially of lime or Wine residues, especially of red wine residues), especially in conjunction with other components of the invention the cleaning tablet. Unlike, for example, with brushes or "cleaning beads" the relatively small gas bubbles can reach otherwise difficult to reach areas of the inside of the carafe.
In the course of the present invention, it has also surprisingly been found that the relatively large amount of water softener (citrate) mimicked in situ by the reaction of bicarbonate and citric acid in dissolving the tablet has a positive effect on the removal of limescale Avoiding the formation of new limescale has, especially in conjunction with other components of the invention the cleaning tablet.
Furthermore, the mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid, as provided in the invention, in the intended molar ratio with the result that dispense tablet disintegrants in the cleaning tablet.
As a rule, the use of the cleaning tablet is as follows: The carafe is pre-filled with warm tap water and the cleaning tablet is placed in the decanter for dissolution.
Preferably, the combined mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is at least 32%, more preferably at least 34%, even more preferably at least 36%. Furthermore, the combined mass fraction of bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is preferably at most 65%, more preferably at most 60%, even more preferably at most 55%, in particular at most 50%. The bicarbonate is preferably in the form of sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate, in particular potassium hydrogen carbonate, in the cleaning tablet according to the present invention. The citric acid is preferably present in anhydrous form in the cleaning tablet according to the invention. In addition, citrate (for example trisodium citrate, as complexing agent) and / or carbonate (for example sodium carbonate) may also be present in the cleaning tablet.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the molar ratio between bicarbonate and citric acid in the cleaning tablet is between 1.5: 1 and 3.75: 1, preferably between 2: 1 and 3.5: 1, more preferably between 2.5: 1 and 3.25: 1, more preferably between 2.75: 1 and 3.125: 1, in particular substantially 3: 1, because this corresponds to the stoichiometry of the reaction of bicarbonate with citric acid upon dissolution of the cleaning tablet.
Der Massenanteil der Tenside in der erfindungsgemäßen Reinigungstablette beträgt bevorzugt 0,5% bis 5%, insbesondere 1%-3%.Particularly suitable as surfactants in the cleaning tablet according to the invention are weakly foaming surfactants. Therefore, in a preferred embodiment, the surfactant of the cleaning tablet according to the invention is selected from the group of low foaming anionic, nonionic and zwitterionic Surfactants and mixtures thereof. The anionic surfactants are preferably selected from the group of branched C 6 -C 12 -alkyl sulfates and their mixtures. The nonionic surfactants are preferably alkoxylated fatty alcohols, in particular ethoxylated and / or propoxylated fatty alcohols, and mixtures thereof. The zwitterionic surfactants preferably originate from the group of C 6 -C 12 -alkyliminopropionates, C 6 -C 12 -alkylamidopropylbetaines and mixtures thereof. Particular preference is given to surfactants selected from the group of isooctyl sulfates, isooctyl sulfosuccinates, alkoxylated fatty alcohols, capryliminopropionates, caprylamidopropylbetaines and mixtures thereof. The surfactants are very particularly preferably selected from the group of the alkoxylated fatty alcohols, preferably the ethoxylated and / or propoxylated C 12 -C 14 fatty alcohols, and mixtures thereof, such as, for example, MARLOX® MO 154 (manufacturer: Sasol Ltd., South Africa). The mass fraction of the surfactants in the cleaning tablet according to the invention is preferably 0.5% to 5%, in particular 1% -3%.
In the context of the present invention, bleach systems (i.e., bleach and bleach activator) give particularly good results when designed for low temperature use (at a temperature of up to 50 ° C, especially between 40 ° C-50 ° C). Therefore, bleach activator and bleach of the cleaning tablet in another preferred embodiment of the present invention are suitable for use at a temperature between 40 ° C-50 ° C. Preferably, the bleach system is a percarbonate / tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) system or a percarbonate / 4-decanoyloxybenzoic acid (DOPA) system or similar system.
Advantageously, the complexing agent in the cleaning tablet of the present invention is selected from ethylenediaminotetraacetate (TED), ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA), methylglycinediacetic acid (MGDA) (preferably the trisodium salt thereof, eg Trilon M), glutamic acid-N, N-diacetic acid (GLDA), preferably tetrasodium salt thereof (eg Dissolvine GL ® ex Akzo Nobel, the Netherlands), oxalate, maleate, tartrate, citrate (are particularly preferably the sodium salts of the latter four) or mixtures thereof; In particular, the complexing agent is selected from MGDA (or a salt thereof), citrate and mixtures thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive Cleaning tablet a phosphonate as another complexing agent. In a highly preferred embodiment, the cleaning tablet according to the invention contains as complexing agent, if appropriate inter alia, methylglycinediacetic acid, or a salt thereof, and phosphonate, for example hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid.
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cleaning tablet is free of enzymes, perfumes (flavorings) and / or polycarboxylates. Enzymes are used in commercial cleansers against heavy soiling (e.g., noodle, egg, milk residues). For the purification of carafes these are usually not necessary, in addition, residues of the enzymes after cleaning, for example, affect the taste quality of a wine. Flavorings can also negatively affect the flavor quality of water or wine. Polycarboxylates (used as builders in commercially available cleaning agents) can in turn form visible deposits on glass with the naked eye, which is likewise undesirable according to the invention.
The cleaning tablet of the invention is water-soluble, because at least visible to the naked eye visible residues on the inside of the carafe after cleaning are undesirable. In a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, the detergent tablet dissolves in water by the reaction of bicarbonate with citric acid at least 0.1 g, preferably at least 0.25 g, more preferably at least 0.5 g, even more preferably at least 1 g, in particular at least 1, 5g or even at least 1.8g carbon dioxide gas free.
In a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cleaning tablet has one or more Fracture notches to allow, for example, a comminution of the cleaning tablet for use in very narrow-necked decanters.
The cleaning tablet according to the invention may further comprise tableting aids and / or a tablet disintegrant.
Optionally, the person skilled in the art can provide further ingredients for the tablet according to the invention.
In a further aspect, the present invention provides the use of the cleaning tablet for cleaning the inside of a carafe, preferably made of glass, in particular of crystal glass. Preferably, the carafe is a wine decanter.

Dies können unter anderem sein: Vasen, (Sport)-Trinkflaschen, Thermoskannen und CAMELBAK®-Trinkrucksä-cke (Hersteller: CamelBak Products, LLC; USA).The cleaning tablet according to the invention is particularly suitable for cleaning decanters, in particular wine decanters - preferably made of glass, in particular of (high-quality) crystal glass. However, the cleansing tablet of the present invention is generally also suitable for gentle cleansing (e.g., removal of limescale) from other narrow-necked and / or entangled vessels that are particularly designed to contain water. These may include: vases, (sports) bottles, thermoses and CAMELBAK® hydration backpacks (manufacturer: CamelBak Products, LLC, USA).
The present invention is illustrated by the following example, to which it is of course not limited.
A wine decanter contaminated with red wine residues (model Eve from Riedel Glas Austria, volume 1.4L, article number 1950/09) was filled with tap water (temperature: 40 ° C, water hardness: 15 dH °). Following was the cleaning tablet introduced into the wine decanter and dissolved within 2.5 minutes with strong carbon dioxide bubbles in the tap water. After 20 minutes at room temperature, the wine decanter was emptied and rinsed three times with tap water (temperature: 10 ° C, water hardness: 15 dH °). There were no more red wine residues detectable with the naked eye, also were no limescale visible to the naked eye.
