A brush can be made of a conductive Wire piece with an applied contact piece. The brush thus comprises at least one connection region and at least one contact region. The boards used can be single-layer, multi-layer or flexible boards. The board can also contain markings that allow automatic recognition of the board variant and the board position. Furthermore, the manufacture of the brush block can also be followed by automated soldering, screwing or pressing in of cables. The installation in a slip ring housing can be done automatically.
- Production of the at least one brush
- Assembly of the at least one brush on the circuit board for the production of the brush block
Brushes without contact piece are made of conductive wire material, which is called semi-finished in the following. The semifinished product is preferably a non-precious metal round wire or other shaped material, such as square materials or sheet metal strips. The semi-finished product can be copper-based, iron-based, or even tinned for better solderability. For brushes with contact piece, the semi-finished product used for the contacts may be gold-based or silver-based, i. a precious metal or a carbon material, each in the form of a round wire, a square rod / wire, rivet his. Abbrandfeste materials or alloys by, for example, the addition of tungsten as a semifinished product for the contact pieces are conceivable.
To automate the steps industrial robots can be used, which have an optical camera system for object detection and inductive and / or capacitive proximity sensors and systems for electrical continuity testing and the implementation of the welding process. The advantages of industrial robots lie in the high repeatability, the high availability, the very good manufacturing quality, the employee protection, the high production speed and the favorable production costs.
According to a further embodiment of the invention also PVD or CVDteilbeschichtete wires could be processed with the system. The pretreated wire with coated and uncoated sections is here provided by a roller or already pre-lengthened so that cut-to-length parts each have a coated and a non-coated area. Also, a PVD or CVD method completely coated wire or sections thereof may be supplied. For this purpose, optical systems such as cameras, reflection light barriers or magnetic sensors, eddy current sensors or capacitive sensors can be used to detect the partially coated or fully coated wire pieces or such a tuned machine cycle that the embossing machine and the punching machine separate and emboss the wires in the right places.
Furthermore, partially coated or fully coated spring contacts can be made without a contact piece.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is also possible to record already cut to length wires to edit and oriented to electroplate. In this case, a coating of a noble metal or a bronze alloy is applied at least on a part of the wire. In this case, only a portion of the wire can be coated or the wire together with the previously applied contact piece. Depending on the alloy used, this serves to improve the electrical and / or mechanical properties.
The brush can also consist only of a wire or a wire hanger. The ends of the wires can be performed in addition to the attachment of a contact piece on the side intended for contact with the grinding path also rounded or be clad. Also, the use of spring contact pieces is possible, which can also be contacted by means of a robot or a placement machine to the intended for contacting end of the wire electrically.
