Definitions
- Electrostatic particle separation devices for gas purification and in particular also for flue gas cleaning are known in various embodiments. They are also referred to as electrostatic precipitators.
- the present invention is concerned with such an electrostatic precipitator for furnaces and in particular for so - called small furnaces, such as furnaces, stoves, tiled stoves or boilers fired with biomass such as wood, pellets or woodchips, the electrostatic precipitator entering the flue, ie to integrate the chimney or a chimney inlet of the stove in question.
- the flue gas of such furnaces contains fine dusts and pollutant microparticles that should not be released into the atmosphere. To filter out such fine particles from the flue gas electrostatic Pumbleabscheidevoriquesen the above type are used.
- dust particle clusters form on the inside of the tube wall of the tubular channel section forming the electrostatic filter gas channel and form an often partly encrusted dust layer.
- the dust layer can reduce the efficiency of the electrostatic filter with increasing layer thickness. This requires occasional cleaning of the wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel.
- the spray electrode also requires the occasional cleaning and removal of deposits.
- Particle separation devices of the type considered here are not only suitable for flue gas filtration, but can generally be used for filtering dust-laden gases.
- a particle separator in which a helical scraper in the electrostatic filter gas channel is arranged spaced from a tube wall of a gas-conducting channel, whose two ends are fixed and which can be driven to rotate rotationally. Due to the spacing and lack of flexibility the cleaning result is insufficient. Furthermore, a vibration element for exciting the tube wall is described in its resonant frequency. This improves the cleaning result only at a constant resonant frequency, because with deposition of dirt, deformation due to temperature changes and aging in general, this resonance frequency changes, whereupon the cleaning is deteriorated by means of the vibration element.
- An electrostatic dust collector in which a plurality of rohrfömige collecting electrodes are arranged with one-sided suspension in a gas-conducting channel, wherein the other end is guided in a guide plate.
- the tubular collecting electrodes are attached to both sides of plate-shaped carriers mounted spray electrodes.
- the carrier and the guide plates can be excited to movements or vibrations for the purpose of dedusting of spray and collecting electrodes.
- the disadvantage here in addition to the complex construction is the lack of mechanical friction. However, this would increase the complexity considerably.
- the indirect vibration excitation shown is too inaccurate with respect to a resonant frequency of the individual spray and precipitation electrodes, which may be different due to differential aging and contamination.
- indirect vibration excitation which in principle excites several spray or precipitation electrodes at the same time, can not at all stimulate the resonant frequency of all the electrodes if they differ in their resonance frequency due to aging and contamination. Overall, the cleaning is inadequate.
- the friction element normally remains permanently, even during normal gas filtering operation of the particle separation device in the electrostatic filter gas passage.
- the electrostatic filter gas channel is a preferably rectilinear section in the gas-conducting system between gas inlet and gas outlet.
- adjacent or “contacting” are here to be understood in particular so that corresponding elements such as friction element and wall are not spaced from each other, but touch at least in places, so that when relative movement to each other, a frictional force acts or friction takes place ,
- a drive device usable for the movement of the friction element is e.g. controllable by means of a control device of the particle separation device.
- the drive device is activated regularly after a certain time interval to move the friction element and thus perform a dry cleaning process. This preferably follows during brief pauses of the normal filter operation with interruption of the gas flow. However, such a cleaning process during normal filter operation is also conceivable if care is taken that cleaned-up dust particles do not re-enter the gas flow to any appreciable extent.
- the dust particle clusters occurring in the dry cleaning process are preferably collected in a collecting container below the electrostatic filter gas channel and finally disposed of.
- a control device of the electrostatic Pumbleabscheidevoriques also ensures the correct power supply of the spray and the counter electrode, the counter electrode (wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel) is usually electrically connected to ground, that is grounded.
- the particle separator is operated at voltages of several tens of kV between the electrodes.
- a particularly preferred embodiment of the Pumbleabscheidevoriques has an electrostatic filter gas channel with a preferably cylindrical tube wall, wherein the friction element has a helical shape and rests with its Helixwindened inside the cylindrical wall.
- the electric filter gas channel can thus be formed by a cylindrical metal tube in which a helical or helical structure is incorporated as a frictional element, which is designed with an inner empty space so as to keep a central portion of the electrostatic filtering gas channel free for the passage of gas.
- the friction element is formed from a metal, in particular resilient metal, eg spring steel.
- the helical friction element can be driven for rotation about its helical axis by means of the drive device, so that all possible helical turns rub against the inner surface of the cylindrical tube wall during the rotational movement and thereby scrape dust deposits from this inner surface.
- the friction element is a spring which can be excited to vibrate in the electrostatic filter gas channel in order to detach deposits from the wall.
- a helical structure of the aforementioned kind is advantageous. It then forms a helical spring which can perform spring oscillations in the electrostatic filter gas channel in order to rub against the inner surface of the cylindrical tube wall and thereby scrape off dust deposits from this inner surface. The scraped-off dust deposits must be collected and disposed of. Due to their larger mass, the cluster-like scratched dust deposits are easier to mechanically trap and prevent release in the atmosphere than the microparticles originally deposited on the deposition electrode from which they are formed. Particularly effective in terms of the frictional effect is a variant of the latter embodiment, in which the helical spring can be excited simultaneously to Lssensschwingept- and to rotate about its longitudinal axis.
- the friction element may be formed sharp-edged on its side which contacts the wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel in order to increase the scraping action. Also, the friction element on its wall Contacting side for this purpose have a brush structure.
- the friction element preferably has an upper fixed end and a lower unfixed and in particular free end.
- the friction element itself is able to oscillate.
- the vibration generator has a tunable frequency range and can be integrated into a control, which ensures that the vibration generator Wegscant frequencies and thereby adjusts to natural frequencies of the wall or this covers in particular periodically.
- a vibration sensor can be provided for measuring the vibrations. Vibration generator and vibration sensor are part of the scheme and may be in communication with a common control device.
- This further solution according to the invention does not require a separate friction element in the interior of the electrostatic filter gas channel, although a combination solution would also be conceivable in which the wall can be excited to oscillate and, in addition, a friction element rubbing against it of the type explained above is provided in the electrostatic filter gas channel.
- a possible embodiment of the Pumbleabscheidevoriques according to claim 6 could consist in that the electrostatic filter gas channel is formed of a relatively thin tube, which is displaceable to vibrational movements.
- a vibratory tube forming a particular form of electrostatic filter gas passage could also be arranged as a vibratory, electrically conductive insert in an otherwise more stable tubing construction, where the high voltage electrode extends in the tubing construction.
- the vibration tube could also be formed of individually oscillatory plates which are not rigidly connected to each other.
- the more stable outer tube surrounding the vibratory, electrically conductive insert could, according to a variant, e.g. be formed of an electrically insulating material.
- a vibration generator preferably membrane transducer, eg speakers, piezoelectric vibrators, electrodynamic vibration exciters, electromagnetic vibration exciters, mechanical unbalance vibration exciters and / or shock generators come into question, which are in operative connection with the vibratory electrostatic filter gas channel to the vibration excitation.
- the vibration exciter or on the electrostatic filter gas channel and the geometry and the material of the wall one or more modes of vibration can be excited, eg longitudinal vibrations, bending vibrations, torsional vibrations, etc.
- the arrangement is tuned so that natural frequencies of the electrostatic filter gas channel or be excited by the wall, so this is resonated to shake off because of the occurring movements of the wall adhering dust particle clusters.
- the high-voltage electrode can be excited to oscillate in order to replace any deposits thereof.
- the high voltage electrode is preferably rod-shaped and may be e.g. be a sawtooth stick electrode.
- the high voltage electrode is made of spring steel.
- the high voltage electrode is formed as a bimetallic electrode, which deforms with changing temperatures in order to replace any adhesions in these deformation movements.
- the electrostatic filter gas channel is vertically disposed and open downwardly to a normally outwardly sealed dust collector, with a gas conduit portion leading away from the electrostatic filter channel at the lower end of the electrostatic filter gas channel above the dust collection container. Cleaned dust particle clusters can then trickle down into the dust collector.
- the purified gas can flow out through the gas line section above the dust collecting container.
- the arrangement is such that the electrostatic filter gas channel is flowed through from top to bottom of the gas to be cleaned.
- the electrostatic particle separation device provided for flue gas purification has a metal housing 2 with a gas inlet 4 and a gas outlet 6. Between the gas inlet 4 and the gas outlet 6, a conduit section 5 directly formed by the housing 2 in the example is provided in the form of a hollow cylindrical tube with a wall 9 which serves as an electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- the particle separation device is preferably to be integrated into a flue gas duct in such a way that the flue gas enters the gas inlet 4 and, after flowing through the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, flows clean at the gas outlet 6.
- Flow arrows 10 indicate the gas flow path.
- the wall 9 of the electric filter gas channel 8 serving as line section 5 is electrically conductive and in the example connected to ground potential.
- a rod-shaped high-voltage electrode 14 extends centrally and essentially coaxially in the rectilinear electrostatic filter gas channel 8 and is connected to an external high-voltage electrical supply 18 via an insulator lead-through 16 serving as an electrode holder.
- a high electrical voltage is applied to the high voltage electrode 14 in relation to the ground potential 9 of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 in a manner known per se.
- Fine dust particles in the flue gas to be cleaned are electrically charged in the electric field between the effective as a discharge electrode high-voltage electrode 14 and the effective as a precipitation electrode wall 9 so that they move to the wall 9 and deposited there. This usually results in the formation of dust particle clusters and a dust layer formed thereon on the wall 9. This dust layer can reduce the effectiveness of the Pismeabscheidevoriques and is therefore from time to time to remove.
- the present invention offers possibilities of quasi-automatic cleaning of the wall 9 of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- the cleaning principles used for this purpose can also be transferred to other line sections if adapted accordingly.
- a cleaning process takes place during breaks in operation of the Pumbleabscheidevorraum, although in certain applications, the cleaning of the wall 9 by means of the friction element 20 during normal filter operation of the Pumbleabscheidevorraum is conceivable.
- a friction element 20 in the form of a helix is arranged in the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, which extends substantially over the entire length of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 and engages closely with its helical turns on the wall 9 of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, wherein the friction element 20 is electrically opposite the high voltage electrode 14 is isolated and can be at ground potential, for example.
- the friction element 20 is in the example a possible - As little as possible space in the electrostatic filter gas channel engaging coil spring, for example, from a spring steel, which depends on the coaxial with the friction element 20 and the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 arranged holding rod 22 and is connected via this with a drive device 24.
- the drive device 24 can be activated by means of a control device 26 to rotate the holding rod 22 about its longitudinal axis, as indicated by the arrow 28.
- the helical spring serving as a friction element 20 is rotated about its longitudinal axis, rubbing with its Helixwindept 21 inside the wall 9 in order to scrape off any dust deposits on the wall 9.
- the Helixwindept 21 are preferably formed sharp-edged at their outer edges for this purpose. In these friction processes, there are also superimposed motion patterns within the coil spring 20, whereby deposits are shaken off by the coil spring 20.
- the drive device 24 in addition to the rotational movement of the coil spring 20 can also cause a vibrational movement of the coil spring 20, for example by an up and down movement of the retaining rod 20, as indicated by the arrow 30. Both modes of rotation and vibration can preferably be performed simultaneously, whereby a very effective frictional effect on the wall 9 can be achieved for their cleaning.
- the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 is arranged vertically and open at the bottom to an outwardly closed dust collecting container 32.
- the dust collecting container 32 is in the present example, an extendable drawer, which is sealed in the insertion position shown outwardly received in the housing 2.
- the dust collector 32 serves to catch the trickled down during the phases of cleaning the wall 9 dust.
- the gas outlet 6 is located at a gas line section 34, which at the lower end of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, but above the dust collecting container 32 is located. Thereby, the gas flow is channeled so that it does not pass through the dust collecting container, so that dust collected in the dust collecting container 32 can not be whirled up to any significant extent by the gas flowing through the particle separating device.
- a perforated grid or the like may be provided between the branch of the gas line section 34 and the dust collecting container 32.
- Fig. 1 shown embodiment of the invention can be realized by simple means and allows efficient cleaning of the electrostatic precipitator.
- the control device 26 may be configured to automatically carry out the cleaning operation of the friction element 20 periodically after certain time intervals. Also conceivable is a sensory detection of dust formation on the wall 9 of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 and activation of the cleaning operation in each case after accumulation of a certain amount of dust on the wall. 9
- the second embodiment according to Fig. 2 differs from the embodiment described above Fig. 1 in that the friction element 20 is not rotatably received in the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, but can only perform spring oscillations therein. Furthermore, the high-voltage electrode 14 is opposed in the second embodiment Fig. 1 not arranged on the top of a holding rod hanging in the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, but provided on a lateral support 40, which is electrically led outwards relative to the wall 9 and produces an electrical connection to a high voltage source 18. Upwardly and downwardly, the high-voltage electrode 14, which acts as a spray electrode, branches off the holder 40 centrally into the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- a purge air in the electrostatic filter gas duct 8 sucking fan 42 is arranged laterally on the housing 2.
- the cooling purge air flows around the Electron holder 40 and provided for their attachment insulators (not shown).
- the friction element 20 which is also designed as a helical spring, is fixed at its upper end to the housing 2 and can, moreover, perform spring oscillations in the longitudinal direction of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- the coil spring 20 may be designed and arranged so that it is vibrated solely by the gas flow in the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 in order to detach deposits from the wall 9. The gas flow itself then forms the drive means for moving the friction element 20.
- a symbolically represented at 46 vibration generator is provided, which can stimulate the friction element 20 to forced oscillations.
- the vibrator 46 may be, for example, a shock exciter, which exerts impacts in the longitudinal direction of the friction element 20 on this.
- An also existing control device for the high voltage supply 18 and the vibration generator 46 are in Fig. 2 not shown, although also present in the second embodiment.
- a bypass channel 48 leads to the gas outlet 6 above the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- a blocking flap 50 is provided, which allows in a bypass operation, a derivative of the gas flow through the bypass channel 48, bypassing the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- Such an operating mode can be considered, for example, during the phases of cleaning the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 by means of the friction element 20.
- a blocking flap 52 in the regular discharge channel 34 to the gas outlet 6 out for such Bypass operation be brought into the closed position.
- Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the invention in which no separate friction element is arranged in the electrostatic filter gas channel 8, but the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 can be excited as such to vibrational movements.
- the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 is formed by a separate insert which is loosely suspended in the housing 2 on suspension supports 54, so that it can form a vibration element which is as little damped as possible.
- At least one vibration generator 56 is coupled to the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 for its vibration excitation.
- two oscillators 56 are shown. These may be membrane oscillators, such as, for example, specially adapted loudspeakers, which can excite the wall 9 of the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 to cause vibrations.
- the vibration generator 56 may optionally be different vibration modes in question, eg stretching vibrations, torsional vibrations, bending vibrations, etc ..
- electrodynamic vibrators e.g. Piezo vibrators, electromagnetic vibration exciters, mechanical unbalance vibration exciter and possibly shock generator in question.
- FIG Fig. 3 A control device for the operation of the vibrators 56 and the high voltage electrode 14 is shown in FIG Fig. 3 not shown if - present in the embodiment.

- the electrostatic filter gas channel 8 is formed as a thin-walled tubular insert made of metal, which takes over the gas flow between the gas inlet 4 and gas outlet 6 within the housing 2. Electrically, it is preferably connected to ground potential, so that a corresponding electric field can form in the filter operation between the high-voltage electrode 14 (spraying electrode 14) and the wall 9, which is under high voltage and has long been extending into the electrostatic filter gas channel 8.
- the embodiment according to Fig. 4 differs from the embodiment according to Fig. 3 merely in that the high-voltage electrode 14 is arranged on a lateral holder 40, which is guided via the insulating seal 60 to the outside to high-voltage source 16.

The object of the invention is to improve an electrostatic Partikelabscheidevorrichtung of the aforementioned type by simple means to the effect that it has a self-cleaning function.
- a housing having a gas inlet and a gas outlet and an electro-filter gas channel bounded by an electrically conductive wall between the gas inlet and the gas outlet,
- an elongated high voltage electrical electrode disposed in the electrostatic filter gas channel, the high voltage electrode and the electrically conductive wall being operable as opposed electrodes of a pair of electrodes to create an electric field in the electrostatic filter gas channel, and
- a cleaning device for cleaning the wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel, wherein the cleaning device comprises a movably mounted in the electrostatic filter gas channel and contacting the wall abutting friction element, which is drivable for performing frictional movements on the wall to detach deposits from the wall.
The friction element normally remains permanently, even during normal gas filtering operation of the particle separation device in the electrostatic filter gas passage. The electrostatic filter gas channel is a preferably rectilinear section in the gas-conducting system between gas inlet and gas outlet.
The terms "adjacent" or "contacting" are here to be understood in particular so that corresponding elements such as friction element and wall are not spaced from each other, but touch at least in places, so that when relative movement to each other, a frictional force acts or friction takes place ,
A drive device usable for the movement of the friction element is e.g. controllable by means of a control device of the particle separation device. Thus, it may be provided that the drive device is activated regularly after a certain time interval to move the friction element and thus perform a dry cleaning process. This preferably follows during brief pauses of the normal filter operation with interruption of the gas flow. However, such a cleaning process during normal filter operation is also conceivable if care is taken that cleaned-up dust particles do not re-enter the gas flow to any appreciable extent. The dust particle clusters occurring in the dry cleaning process are preferably collected in a collecting container below the electrostatic filter gas channel and finally disposed of.
A control device of the electrostatic Partikelabscheidevorrichtung also ensures the correct power supply of the spray and the counter electrode, the counter electrode (wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel) is usually electrically connected to ground, that is grounded. Typically, the particle separator is operated at voltages of several tens of kV between the electrodes.
Federstahl gebildet.A particularly preferred embodiment of the Partikelabscheidevorrichtung has an electrostatic filter gas channel with a preferably cylindrical tube wall, wherein the friction element has a helical shape and rests with its Helixwindungen inside the cylindrical wall. The electric filter gas channel can thus be formed by a cylindrical metal tube in which a helical or helical structure is incorporated as a frictional element, which is designed with an inner empty space so as to keep a central portion of the electrostatic filtering gas channel free for the passage of gas. Preferably, the friction element is formed from a metal, in particular resilient metal, eg spring steel.
According to a variant of the invention, the helical friction element can be driven for rotation about its helical axis by means of the drive device, so that all possible helical turns rub against the inner surface of the cylindrical tube wall during the rotational movement and thereby scrape dust deposits from this inner surface.
According to a further variant of the invention, the friction element is a spring which can be excited to vibrate in the electrostatic filter gas channel in order to detach deposits from the wall. Also, for such an embodiment, a helical structure of the aforementioned kind is advantageous. Particularly effective in terms of the frictional effect is a variant of the latter embodiment, in which the helical spring can be excited simultaneously to Längsschwingungen- and to rotate about its longitudinal axis.
The friction element may be formed sharp-edged on its side which contacts the wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel in order to increase the scraping action. Also, the friction element on its wall Contacting side for this purpose have a brush structure.
Furthermore, the friction element preferably has an upper fixed end and a lower unfixed and in particular free end. Thus, the friction element itself is able to oscillate.
- a housing with a gas inlet and a gas outlet and an electro-filter gas channel bounded by an electrically conductive wall between the gas inlet and the outlet,
- an elongated high voltage electrical electrode disposed in the electrostatic filter gas channel, the high voltage electrode and the electrically conductive wall being operable as opposed electrodes of a pair of electrodes to generate an electric field in the electrostatic filter gas channel, the wall of the electrostatic filter gas channel being oscillatable and having at least one provided the wall coupled vibrator and can be activated to excite vibration movements of the wall to detach deposits from the wall.
The vibration generator has a tunable frequency range and can be integrated into a control, which ensures that the vibration generator durchscant frequencies and thereby adjusts to natural frequencies of the wall or this covers in particular periodically. A vibration sensor can be provided for measuring the vibrations. Vibration generator and vibration sensor are part of the scheme and may be in communication with a common control device.
This further solution according to the invention does not require a separate friction element in the interior of the electrostatic filter gas channel, although a combination solution would also be conceivable in which the wall can be excited to oscillate and, in addition, a friction element rubbing against it of the type explained above is provided in the electrostatic filter gas channel.
A possible embodiment of the Partikelabscheidevorrichtung according to
As a vibration generator preferably membrane transducer, eg speakers, piezoelectric vibrators, electrodynamic vibration exciters, electromagnetic vibration exciters, mechanical unbalance vibration exciters and / or shock generators come into question, which are in operative connection with the vibratory electrostatic filter gas channel to the vibration excitation. Depending on the selection and coupling of the vibration exciter or on the electrostatic filter gas channel and the geometry and the material of the wall one or more modes of vibration can be excited, eg longitudinal vibrations, bending vibrations, torsional vibrations, etc. Preferably, the arrangement is tuned so that natural frequencies of the electrostatic filter gas channel or be excited by the wall, so this is resonated to shake off because of the occurring movements of the wall adhering dust particle clusters.
According to a development of the invention, both as regards the aspect of the invention according to claim 1 and as far as the aspect of the invention according to
Preferably, the electrostatic filter gas channel is vertically disposed and open downwardly to a normally outwardly sealed dust collector, with a gas conduit portion leading away from the electrostatic filter channel at the lower end of the electrostatic filter gas channel above the dust collection container. Cleaned dust particle clusters can then trickle down into the dust collector. The purified gas can flow out through the gas line section above the dust collecting container. Preferably, the arrangement is such that the electrostatic filter gas channel is flowed through from top to bottom of the gas to be cleaned.

The particle separation device is preferably to be integrated into a flue gas duct in such a way that the flue gas enters the
In the normal filter operation of the particle separation device, a high electrical voltage is applied to the
