Description

The invention relates to a volumetric flow regulator arrangement with a volumetric flow controller designed for installation in a ventilation duct, which has a tubular housing, a throttle element movably arranged in the housing and an adjusting device arranged outside the housing for adjusting the throttle element.

Out EP 2 784 406 A1 is a volume flow regulator of the above type is known, which is inserted with its housing in a pipe of the ventilation duct. The necessary settings for the throttle element must be made before installation, since the volume flow controller after installation is no longer readily accessible or only by increased installation costs.

The object of the invention is to provide a volumetric flow regulator arrangement which allows easier access to the volumetric flow controller for the purpose of checking, adjusting and cleaning even after installation.

This object is achieved by a sliding sleeve slidably receives the volume flow controller in a receiving portion and having an axially adjacent sliding portion which is designed for a displaceable insertion into a pipe of the ventilation duct, wherein the axial length of the sliding portion is greater than the axial length of the housing of the volumetric flow controller.

When installing the volumetric flow controller is inserted into the receiving portion of the sliding sleeve, and the end with sliding portion is inserted only so far into the pipe of the ventilation duct that it protrudes by a length which is at least greater than the length of the housing of the volumetric flow controller, out of the pipe , The opposite end of the receiving portion of the sliding sleeve is connected to another pipe of the ventilation duct or a junction box, which forms, for example, a ceiling outlet for ventilation of a room.

If subsequently an access to the volume flow regulator is required, for example, to clean this, the connection between the receiving portion of the sliding sleeve and the adjacent pipe or terminal box is released, and the sliding sleeve is inserted with its sliding portion deeper into the relevant pipe of the ventilation duct. In this way, a gap arises in the ventilation duct, through which the volume flow regulator can be removed after it has been pulled out of the receiving portion of the sliding sleeve.

In Fig. 1 a part of a ventilation duct 10 is shown, which is laid in a ceiling cavity above a suspended ceiling 12 of a building and a pipe 14 for the supply of supply air, a volume flow regulator assembly 16 and a junction box 18 has. The connection box 18 is embedded in the ceiling 12 and has an air outlet 20 on the underside.

The connection box 18 is connected via the volumetric flow regulator arrangement 16 to the pipe 14 in terms of air flow, so that the supply air supplied via the pipe 14 can be discharged downwards into the space below the ceiling 12. In practice, the air outlet 20 mostly comprises air-laying elements, such as e.g. Swirl elements or other baffle elements, which ensure an adequate distribution of the air.

The volume flow regulator assembly 16 has a sliding sleeve 22, which is inserted with a sliding portion 24 a piece far into the end of the tube 14 and a volumetric flow regulator 28 receives in a receiving enlarged diameter portion 26. The end of the receiving portion 26 is connected to a nozzle 30 of the junction box 18. The connections between the tube 14 and the sliding portion 24 on the one hand and the receiving portion 26 and the nozzle 30 on the other hand are sealed in a known manner by seals 32.

The axial length L1 of the sliding portion 24 of the sliding sleeve 22 is so much greater than the axial length L2 of the volume flow controller 28, that even the part of the sliding sleeve 24, which protrudes from the tube 14, is even longer than the volume flow controller 28. This allows to remove the volumetric flow regulator 28 by, as in Fig. 2 is shown, the sliding sleeve 22 is released from the terminal box 18 and inserted deeper into the tube 14. This creates between the sliding sleeve 22 and the junction box 18, a gap with the length L3 (L1>L3> L2), which allows the volume flow controller 28 to pull out of the receiving portion 26 and to remove down. In order to gain access to the sliding sleeve 22 and the volume flow controller 28, a ceiling plate 34 is previously removed, so that in the ceiling 12, an opening 36 is formed.

The structure of the volume flow controller 28 is in 3 and 4 shown in more detail.

In Fig. 3 is shown in an axial section, a tubular housing 38 of the volume flow controller 28. The housing 38 has a circular cross-section and is surrounded at its opposite ends by circumferential lip seals 39, which serve to seal against the inner wall of the receiving portion 26. When the volumetric flow regulator is pushed into the receiving section 26, the lip seals 39 in the in Fig. 3 bent way shown. In this position, the lip seals generate a high holding force when the volume flow controller is flown in the direction of arrow A from the air. This prevents the volumetric flow controller from being taken along by the air flow. If, however, the volumetric flow regulator is pulled out of the receiving section 26 by hand in order to gain access to the adjusting device 50, a greater force is exerted on the housing 28 in the direction of displacement, with the result that the lip seals 39 turn into the opposite position, in which they oppose the pull-out a lower frictional resistance.

The peripheral wall of the housing 38 forms an indentation 40 in the region of the upper vertex which locally narrows the flow cross-section. At the feeder 40, a stop 42 for a throttle element 44 is disposed in the interior of the housing 38.

The throttle element 44 has the shape of a flap which is pivotable about an axis 46 which is perpendicular to the plane in FIG Fig. 3 passes through the center of the circular cross-section of the housing 38. One end of the axle 46 extends through the upper part of a separated from the interior of the housing 38 chamber 48, which receives an adjustment 50 and a return mechanism as a control mechanism for the throttle element 44. In Fig. 3 an outer cover of the chamber 48 is omitted, so that one can look into the interior of this chamber.

To the return mechanism for the throttle element include a bending spring 52, which is formed in this example as a leaf spring, and an adjustment member 54, which also is designed as a leaf spring. An upper end of the bending spring 52 is rigidly held on the axle 46 and conforms to a supporting contour of a support body 56, which is also held rigidly on the axle 46. The adjusting member 54 is held on a support body 58 in the manner of a cantilever and forms with a sound-like free end a stop 60 for the bending spring 52, whose length, however, is dimensioned so that it protrudes with its free end slightly above the stopper 60.

The support body 58 for the adjustment member 54 is rotatably supported about an axis 62 in the chamber 48 and fixed by means of a fixing arm 64 in the angular position respectively set.

Fig. 4 shows a cover 66 which forms the outer lining of the chamber 48 and on which an adjustment mechanism for the support body 58 and the adjusting element 54 is arranged. The axis 62 passes through the cover 66 and carries on the outside of this cover a (outer) hex 68 and a pointer 70, both of which are rigidly connected to the support body 58. The contours of the hex 68 and the pointer 70 are also in Fig. 3 indicated by dash-dotted lines.

The fixing arm 64 carries at the free end a fixing screw 72 which passes through an arcuate slot 74 of the cover 66 and thus allows the support body 58 and thus the adjusting element 54 (FIG. Fig. 3 ) in the selected angular position. On the cover 66, a scale 76 is attached, at the indicated angle position or belonging to the setpoint specification for the flow rate or the volume flow can be read using the pointer 70.

Fig. 5 shows a section through the receiving portion 26 of the sliding sleeve together with an end view of the housing 38 with the sectioned chamber 48. The throttle element 44 has an approximately T-shaped outline, with lateral recesses, of which a space for the chamber 48 provides. The recess on the opposite side (right in Fig. 5 ) makes room for another housing 78 the opposite side (right in Fig. 5 ) provides space for another housing 78, in which, for example, a damper mechanism for the throttle element can be accommodated. At the upper vertex, the throttle element 44 is shortened by the height of the feeder 40. At the feeder stop 42 can be seen, on which the throttle element strikes in the fully closed position with its upper edge.

In addition, it can be seen the adjustment means 50 in the chamber 48 and arranged on the outside of the cover 66 hex 68th

The receiving portion 26 of the sliding sleeve has at the location of the adjusting device 50 on an inspection opening 80 through which the hex 68 and the pointer 70 and the fixing screw 72 are accessible. With the aid of a hexagon socket 68 inserted on the hexagon 68 then the angular position of the adjusting element 54 and thus the force acting on the throttle element 44 restoring force can be adjusted. If the supply air, the volume flow controller 28 in the direction of arrow A in Fig. 1 flows through, so it exerts on the throttle element 44 a torque which has a tendency to pivot in the closing direction. The restoring force counteracts this torque, so that the volume flow is controlled to a constant value, which corresponds to the equilibrium position of the throttle element 44 thus depends on the adjustable restoring force.

The outline of the inspection opening 80 is also in Fig.1 indicated by dash-dotted lines. Since the pointer 70 is visible through this opening, the set volume flow can be read on the scale 76.

During operation, the inspection opening 80 is closed by a closure element in the form of a releasably inserted and sealing stopper 84 (FIG. Fig. 5 ). In another embodiment, the closure element could also be a circumferential adhesive tape covering the inspection opening.

If the setting of the volume flow is to be changed, only the plug 84 needs to be temporarily removed. The setting can then be changed without the volume flow controller 28 has to be removed from the sliding sleeve 22. A complete removal of the volumetric flow controller 28 (as in Fig. 2 ) is therefore only required if the volumetric flow controller is to be cleaned or other maintenance work is to be performed.

In Fig. 5 Furthermore, a servomotor 86 is still shown, which can optionally - be attached to the receiving portion 26 of the sliding sleeve - if necessary, as a retrofit kit. The plug 84 is either removed or pierced by an adapter, for example, the hexagon socket 82 of the servo motor at a predetermined breaking point, so that it acts as a seal between the servo motor and the receiving portion. The adjusting device 50 is then connected via the hexagon socket 82 with the output shaft of the servomotor 86, so that the angular position of the adjusting element 54 and thus the volume flow can also be remotely controlled by means of the servomotor 86. The fixing screw 72 is released or completely removed in this case, since the actuator 86 itself holds the hex 68 in the respectively set position. The servomotor 86 may be a servomotor or a stepper motor, with which the desired position of the adjustment element and thus the desired volume flow can be precisely predetermined.

In another embodiment, not shown here in detail, sensors may also be provided in the housing 38 of the volumetric flow controller or may be retrofitted, which allow a measurement of the actual volumetric flow, for example pressure sensors which measure the pressure drop in front of and behind the throttle element, or flow sensors which directly measure the flow velocity. The sensors may then be electrically connected through the inspection opening 80 with an electronic control device in the housing of the servo motor 86, so that a feedback control of the volume flow is possible. In this case, optionally, the function of the return mechanism can also be circumvented by not connecting the output shaft of the servo motor 86 with the hexagon 68 but rather directly to the axis 46 of the throttle device 44, so that with the help of the servo motor 86 directly the damper blade position is changed.

While in the embodiments described above FIGS. 1 and 2 the volume flow controller 28 is arranged in a supply air line, illustrated Fig. 6 an installation in which the tube 14 forms an exhaust duct, sucked through the air through an air inlet 88 of the junction box 18 and in the direction of arrow B in Fig. 6 is transported away.

The volumetric flow controller 28 is installed in this case in the reverse orientation, so that the air flows against the throttle element 44 in the same direction as in Fig. 3 , Thus, the inspection opening 80 of the sliding sleeve 22 (with the sliding sleeve to Fig. 1 is identical) but the adjustment 50 of the flow control is opposite, is also the sliding sleeve 22 in Fig. 6 installed in the reverse position, so that its sliding portion 24 now facing the side of the junction box 18.

To the nozzle 30 of the junction box 18, therefore, a first pipe 90 is coupled as an intermediate piece, which receives the sliding sleeve 24 slidably. The opposite end of the sliding sleeve 22, so the end of the receiving portion 26 is connected via a connector 92 to the pipe 14. Generally can be provided for tight connection of the sliding sleeve 22 with the pipe 14 on the one hand and with the nozzle 32 on the other hand, a variety of forms of connectors or flange connections or clamp connections.

Fig. 7 illustrates a variant in which the volume flow regulator assembly 16 is not installed between a terminal box 18 and a pipe 14 of the ventilation duct, but between two tubes 14 a and 14 b of the ventilation duct. The sliding portion 24 of the sliding sleeve engages in this case slidably in the one tube 14 a, while the receiving portion 26 is connected by the connector 92 with the other tube 14 b.

Eine Entnahme des Reglers in den Anordnungen nach Fig. 6 und 7 erfolgt analog zu Fig. 2.Removal of the regulator in the arrangements according to 6 and 7 takes place analogously to Fig. 2 ,

FIGS. 8 to 11 illustrate the retrofitting of a volumetric flow regulator arrangement in the existing ventilation duct 14.

Die ursprüngliche Lüftungsleitung 14 besteht nun aus zwei getrennten Rohren 14a und 14b.According to Fig. 8 In the ceiling 12, a longer opening 36 is initially formed which gives access to a longer section 14c of the ventilation duct 14. At parting lines 94, the section 14c is then separated from the ventilation duct. In the resulting gap, the sliding sleeve 22 is inserted, as in Fig. 9 is shown. The original vent 14 now consists of two separate tubes 14a and 14b.

As Fig. 10 shows, the sliding sleeve 22 is inserted with its sliding portion 24 in the tube 14 a, whereby between the sliding sleeve and the tube 14 b, a gap is formed in the first a connector 96 is inserted, which is then inserted into the end of the tube 14 b. Subsequently, the volumetric flow controller 28 is inserted through the still remaining gap in the receiving portion 26 of the sliding sleeve. Optionally, the volumetric flow controller 28 may also already be accommodated in the receiving section 26 before the sliding sleeve with its sliding section 24 is inserted into the tube 14a. Thereafter, the sliding sleeve 22 together with the volume flow controller in the in Fig. 11 shown withdrawn position in which it is connected to the connector 96 close.

The length of the connector 96 is selected so that the gap between the tubes 14a and 14b is still bridged when the sliding sleeve engages with its sliding portion 24 in the tube 14a.

FIGS. 12 and 13 show a variant with a two-part sliding sleeve 22 ', which has a sliding portion 24' and a separate receiving portion 26 '. The receiving portion 26 'is slidable on the sliding portion 24 and connected via a connector 98 to the tube 14b.

To remove the volumetric flow controller 28, the receiving portion 26 is pushed onto the sliding portion 24 ', as in Fig. 13 is shown. The housing of the volumetric flow controller remains hanging on the end of the sliding portion 24 'and thus emerges from the receiving portion 26', so that it can be removed through the resulting gap.
