Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Befestigen einer ringförmigen Unwuchtausgleichsvorrichtung an einer Wäschetrommel eines Haushaltsgeräts, wobei die Unwuchtausgleichsvorrichtung in eine umlaufend ausgebildete Aufnahme der Wäschetrommel eingesetzt wird. Die Rastelemente liegen dabei an einer die jeweilige Rastöffnung begrenzenden Kante axial an, sodass eine formschlüssige Verbindung in axialer Richtung gebildet ist. Eine derartige Rastverbindung hat insbesondere den Nachteil, dass es zu einem Lösen der Rastverbindung kommen kann. Im Betrieb der Waschmaschine können nämlich radiale Verformungen der Wäschetrommel - insbesondere eine Ovalisierung - auftreten, was zu einer radialen Verschiebung zwischen dem Mantel der Wäschetrommel einerseits und dem Gehäuse der Unwuchtausgleichsvorrichtung andererseits führen kann. Kommt es zu einer derartigen Verschiebung, so können sich die Rastelemente der Unwuchtausgleichsvorrichtung von den jeweiligen Rastöffnungen lösen, und es kann insgesamt zu einem Herausfallen der Unwuchtausgleichsvorrichtung aus der axialen Vertiefung der Wäschetrommel kommen. Es sind außerdem keine zusätzlichen Befestigungselemente, wie insbesondere Schrauben, erforderlich, sodass sich der Einsatz von derartigen Befestigungselementen mit den damit verbundenen Nachteilen hinsichtlich der Kosten, des Bauraums und der zusätzlichen Montagezeit erübrigt. Weil keine zusätzlichen Aussparungen bzw. Öffnungen in der Wäschetrommel selbst erforderlich sind, wird die Steifigkeit der Wäschetrommel durch diese Befestigungsart nicht beeinträchtigt.   6. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least the projection (15) of the housing (13) of the unbalance compensation device (3) is formed from a thermoplastic material.
  7. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the heating is carried out by ultrasonic welding and/or by means of a sonotrode (26), mechanical vibrations being applied to the projection (15) thereby.
  8. Arrangement (1) for a domestic appliance comprising a washing drum (2) for receiving items to be washed and comprising an annular unbalance compensation device (3) which is inserted into a circumferential receiving part (16) of the washing drum (2) and is secured to the washing drum (2) by means of a projection (15) which is configured on a housing (13) of the unbalance compensation device (3) and which engages behind a wall (17) of the washing drum (2) defining the receiving part (16), characterised in that projection (15) engages behind and/or encompasses a protruding part (23) of the washing drum (2) configured on a side of the wall (17) remote from the receiving part (16), in particular on a radial outer periphery of the wall (17), and facing in the direction away from the receiving part (16), in particular outwardly in the radial direction.
  9. Arrangement (1) according to claim 8, characterised in that the projection (15) is bent around an axial front edge (22) of the wall (17).
  10. Domestic appliance for treating items to be washed comprising an arrangement (1) according to claim 8 or 9.
