- a) a gas-tight layer, in particular an oxygen-tight layer, and
- b) a carrier layer,
It has surprisingly been found in a long-term experiment that contrary to all expectations, this cover layer not only works well, i. can be plastered, but in particular a permanent hygrothermal functionality is given. So far, the idea has been that a water vapor permeability of the resistance counteracts to the extent that moisture from masonry and the environment accumulates in the insulation material and can not diffuse out quickly enough again. This would moisturize the system and increase the thermal conductivity. The measurements have now shown an opposite effect. The targeted alkali resistance of at least the gas-tight layer, in particular the entire top layer, it has also been able to create a product with high dimensional stability.
A further embodiment provides that the cover layer, in particular the gas-tight layer, is metal-free, in particular aluminum-free. Under metal-free within the meaning of the invention is to be understood that small traces of metal contamination or catalyst residues that are present in polymers, are quite possible. On the other hand, however, metal foils, in particular aluminum foils, are delineated insofar as the cover layer would otherwise become, for example, alkali-resistant and in particular water vapor-tight.
In particular, the cover layer is a diffusion-tight cover layer according to DIN EN 13165, with an oxygen diffusion value less than 4.5 ml / m 2 xd according to ASTM 3985, which is alkali-resistant in contrast to known aluminum-coated cover layers, has moisture vapor permeability properties and moisture from a building or derived from an interior. The water vapor permeability is preferably such that it has at least a value s d of greater than or equal to 4 m, according to DIN 12086, even at higher temperatures, in particular at 20 ° C. By a changing value as a function of the temperature, which preferably does not fall below 2 m, it is ensured that the water vapor permeability adapts to the climatic conditions, but without becoming too low.
By a heat-insulating composite system with the use of a cover layer as proposed, it is possible masonry walls but also ceilings building physics better to be able to insulate. A wall is usually considered airtight. If a building is not airtight, humid air may migrate indoors from the interiors and cause moisture damage through condensation, particularly convection.
Such a cover layer has, for example, the advantage that it can be wound. As a result, for example, it can be wound up as a roll for further processing and unwound at another processing station, for example directly in a plate production, and then further processed continuously in a processing line. The top layer can also be further processed in other ways, for example by laminating on insulation boards.
According to a development it can be provided that the cover layer comprises a further layer: c) a mineral layer. The mineral layer is preferably created by coating the carrier layer. The mineral layer has the advantage that it is plasterable. Also, the mineral layer can serve as a primer, for example, for a reinforcing adhesive, another adhesive, for a light plaster of a heat-insulating composite system or, for example, for a tile adhesive in an interior.
In addition, an adhesive layer may also be provided. The adhesive layer is preferably arranged between the gas-tight layer and the carrier layer.
The top layer is used especially for insulation boards, which are plastered or glued. Such insulation boards can be used for example in a heat-insulating composite system, abbreviated ETICS, as well as in other areas. For example, in the case of an interior construction, such a cover layer can be used, for example together with a tile support element.
A further embodiment of the cover layer provides that at least the gas-tight layer is permeable to water vapor, preferably the entire cover layer is permeable to water vapor. This allows, for example, that pending building moisture can diffuse out, in particular can diffuse through the cover layer.
It is preferred if the cover layer has at least EVOH as the gas-tight layer, in particular has a layer of EVOH. Preferably, the gas-tight layer is an oxygen-tight layer comprising a multilayer film having a layer of EVOH provided with a protective layer on at least one side, preferably on each side. The protective layer comprises, preferably consists of, one or more polyolefins, preferably of polypropylene or polyethylene or mixtures thereof.
A further development provides that the gas-tight layer is a film which preferably has a variable s d value. By changing the s d value, a different water vapor permeability can be made possible depending on the environmental parameters. Preferably, the gas-tight layer has a thickness of 10 to 200 .mu.m, preferably from 30 to 150 .mu.m, more preferably a thickness of 40 to 80 .mu.m, in particular of about 60 .mu.m.
With regard to the carrier layer, it is preferred that the carrier layer comprises a nonwoven, preferably consists of a nonwoven. The backing layer can be, for example, a glass fiber fleece, a glass fiber / polyester blend fleece, a glass fabric fleece, a glass fiber fleece or a polyester fleece. According to one embodiment, it is provided that the cover layer has a coating. For example, it is provided that the cover layer is connected to a mineral layer. Preferably, the mineral layer i) contains an inorganic constituent selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate, silicon dioxide, barium sulfate and mixtures thereof and ii) a binder. Preferably, the inorganic component has a particle size between 1 and 200 microns.
One embodiment provides that the coating has a binder, preferably a binder which contains, preferably consists of, a copolymer of acrylic ester and styrene. Furthermore, it is preferred that the coating, preferably the mineral layer contains a flame retardant, preferably aluminum hydroxide. The coating preferably has a basis weight, which is a weight from 100 g / m 2 to 400 g / m 2 , preferably 150 g / m 2 to 300 g / m 2 , particularly preferably 200 to 275 g / m 2 , in particular about 230 g / m 2 .
An example of a structure for a plasterable expansion board or a tile support element provides, for example, that the coating has a calcium carbonate of different particle sizes between 15 .mu.m and 300 .mu.m. Preferably, the calcium carbonate filler has a weight fraction of the coating which is between 40% by weight and 65% by weight, in particular about 57.7% by weight, based on the weight of the coating. A flame retardant preferably has a weight fraction of the coating, which is preferably between 20% by weight and 35% by weight, in particular about 27.5% by weight. As a flame retardant, aluminum hydroxide is preferably used. The binder is preferably a dispersion based on a copolymer of acrylic acid ester and styrene. Furthermore, a thickening agent may be provided, for example a cellulose ether. The thickener preferably has from 0.5% to about 1.5% by weight by weight of the coating. In addition there is a wetting agent, preferably with a weight proportion of about 0.05% by weight to about 1.5% by weight. Bevorzugt ist der Dämmstoff ein Polyurethan-Hartschaum oder Polyisocyanurat-Hartschaum. Insbesondere ist der Dämmstoff ein Schaum, der durch Reaktion einer Isocyanatkomponente ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Hexamethylendiisocyanat (HDI), Toluylendiisocyanat (TDI), Methylendi(phenylisocyanat) (MDI), Polymeres Diphenylmethandiisocyanat (PMDI), Naphthylendiisocyanat (NDI), Isophorondiisocyanat (IPDI) und 4,4'-Diisocyanatodicyclohexylmethan (H12MDI) mit einer Polyolkomponente hergestellt wird. The insulating material is preferably a rigid polyurethane foam or rigid polyisocyanurate foam. In particular, the insulating material is a foam obtained by reaction of an isocyanate component selected from the group consisting of hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), tolylene diisocyanate (TDI), methylenedi (phenyl isocyanate) (MDI), polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (PMDI), naphthylene diisocyanate (NDI), Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and 4,4'-diisocyanatodicyclohexylmethane (H12MDI) is prepared with a polyol component.
According to one embodiment, it is provided that the foam has been foamed with a physical and / or chemical blowing agent, for example a pentane-containing blowing agent and / or carbon dioxide as blowing agent. However, other physical blowing agents may also be used,
- at a temperature of 20 ° C to 30 ° C and 0% on one side and 80% relative humidity on another side an s d value of 0.02 m to 100m, preferably 1 m to 60m, in particular 15m to 55m;
- at a temperature of 70 ° C and 3% on the one hand and 100% relative humidity on the other hand, an s d value of 0.02 m to 80m, preferably 0.5m to 60m, especially 1m to 6m.
It is preferred if the s d value always has a minimum size of preferably 2 m or more. As a result, sufficient water vapor permeability is ensured even at high temperatures.
Preferably, the insulation board is used as a tile support element, as a heat-insulating composite system or as a building board. According to a further development, it is provided that a propellant gas is retained in the insulating material used by means of the cover layer and does not escape. It is also possible, for example, to arrange an aluminum layer on one side of the insulating material and the proposed cover layer on the other side. If, for example, PU is used as the insulating material, the proposed cover layer is preferably arranged on both sides of the insulating material.
- Providing a cover layer as proposed above or below,
- Applying an insulating material to the provided cover layer and
- optionally applying a second cover layer, in particular again a cover layer as proposed above or below, on the insulating material.
Preferably, an insulating board is used with both sides applied cover layer as a building board. So this building board can be used in drywall but also in the laying of tiles. The building board preferably has an insulating material, which has a closed-cell foam, which allows waterproofing. However, it is also possible to use an open-pore foam which, for example, is permeable to water vapor.
- Providing an insulating material, preferably made of rigid polyurethane foam or rigid polyisocyanurate foam, which is preferably present as a plate-shaped insulating material,
- Applying a cover layer, which is designed as above or below proposed on the provided insulation material and
- optionally applying a second cover layer on the provided insulating material, wherein the second cover layer is preferably also carried out as proposed above or below.
Furthermore, there is the possibility that the actual insulation is produced only during the production of the insulation board. Thus, for example, a two-component liquid can be applied to a cover layer together with a blowing agent and then foamed there. After foaming, the insulating material is then present and the connection with the cover layer is particularly intimate. It is also possible to foam the insulating material between two cover layers so that an intimate connection with the respective cover layer is created on both sides.
Des Weiteren wird zum Dämmen einer Wand vorgeschlagen, die folgenden Schritte auszuführen:Furthermore, to dam wall, it is proposed to carry out the following steps:
Applying an insulation board as described above or subsequently proposed on the inside or the outside of the wall to be insulated.
According to a further aspect of the present invention, a heat-insulating composite system with insulation material, preferably plate-shaped insulating material, for insulation an outer wall of the building proposed as follows: The insulating material has a first side and a second side opposite the first side, wherein on the first side, a first cover layer is applied and on the second side, a second cover layer is applied. The first cover layer and the second cover layer each comprise a carrier layer and a first cover layer connected thereto, the first cover layer and the second cover layer each having a second cover layer on the side of the carrier layer opposite the first cover layer. The second cover layer of the first cover layer is connected to the first side of the insulating material and the second cover layer of the second cover layer is connected to the second side of the insulating material. It is provided that at least one of the two second outer layers is an airtight but water vapor permeable cover layer. It is further preferred if both second cover layers are airtight but permeable to water vapor. In this way, the second cover layer, an air-impermeable property can be provided, but without moisture is retained or impending building moisture could not diffuse out.
A further embodiment provides that both cover layers are airtight, but permeable to water vapor. It is particularly preferred if at least one, preferably in each case both cover layers, although in the form of a film, indeed allows a diffusion of water vapor, but not an oxygen diffusion. Preferably, this oxygen diffusion is completely prevented or only minimal, corresponding to a layered film according to ASTM 3985 with a 50 micron aluminum layer. Preferably, for example, EVOH is used as the film material. For example, the film material may be protected against damage, for example by means of a respective protective layer on each side. This may be a coating as well as a film, for example a polymer film. Preference is given to using an at least three-layered coextrudate comprising PP, EVOH and then again PP. Other protective layer materials than PP can also be used. PP is the abbreviation for Polypropylene, EVOH is the abbreviation for ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer.
Preference is given to using a coextrudate which is at least three-layered: for example PP-EVOH-PP. The coextrudate preferably has at least five layers, wherein an adhesion promoter is used between the respective layers. For example, a PP layer and the EVOH layer, preferably as a primer, has a PP of a different molecular weight than the PP layer. It is likewise preferred if the protective layer material offers UV protection, for example by adding a corresponding additive into the polymer.
Another embodiment provides that the film material is subjected to a corona treatment. The corona treatment enables adhesion between the top layer and the insulating material used. A further embodiment provides that a PU-based adhesion promoter is used between the cover layer and the insulating material, for example when using PP as the outer layer of the film material and PU for the insulating material. Other combinations of materials may use other adhesion promoters.
According to one embodiment, the first and the second cover layer can be wound such that the first and the second cover layer are double-sided in the production of the heat-insulating composite system with preferably plate-shaped or unwindable insulating material, for example with an insulating material made of PUR / PIR rigid foam Carrier of the insulating material, in particular the foam mass can be used. The first cover layer and second cover layer to be applied to the first and the second side of the insulating material can be unwound, for example, from rolls and be guided directly into the production line in the production of the plate-shaped insulating material. In a further embodiment, the first cover layer and the second cover layer can be subsequently laminated on the plate-shaped insulating material or otherwise applied.
In a preferred embodiment, the carrier layer based on fleece and the first cover layer connected thereto are formed on the basis of inorganic fillers. The carrier layer may be formed as a glass fiber fleece, as a glass fiber / polyester blend fleece, as a glass fabric fleece, as Glasgelegevlies or as a polyester fleece. Other nonwoven materials as well as different nonwovens such as staple fiber nonwovens, spunbonded nonwovens or meltblown nonwovens can be used. The inorganic fillers of the first cover layer may be, for example, calcium carbonate, silicon dioxide and / or barium sulfate. In a further embodiment, the carrier layer may comprise fiber-reinforced cellulose materials, for example paper webs, films made of synthetic fiber spun webs or else perforated polyethylene film, for example also consisting thereof. According to one embodiment, the carrier layer and the first cover layer may each have a lower water vapor diffusion resistance than the second cover layer.
According to one embodiment, the intended cover layer can be produced on the basis of calcium carbonate and / or silicon oxide, preferably with particle sizes between 1 μm and 300 μm. In a further embodiment, a flame retardant, for example aluminum hydroxide, may be added to the first cover layer. The cover layer may preferably comprise a binder, for example a dispersion based on copolymers of acrylic ester and styrene. Furthermore, the top layer can be added to a thickener, preferably a cellulose ester, a wetting agent and / or a film preservative.
It is preferred that the first cover layer on the first cover layer in the course of further processing, for example on a construction site, has an adhesive, preferably to receive a reinforcement, wherein the reinforcement serves as the basis for the external plaster. For example, the second cover layer on the first cover layer also have an adhesive, so that the second cover layer, for example, with a wall, in particular a ceiling, an inner wall or a building exterior wall is connectable. To secure additional fastening means, such as anchor bolts can be used. Furthermore, at least the first cover layer, preferably the first cover layer and the second cover layer, may have a rough surface for better adhesion of one or more adhesive materials.
- at a temperature of 20 ° C, 30 ° C and a relative humidity of 0% on one side and 80% on the other side, an s d value of 0.02 m to 100 m, preferably 1 m to 60 m, in particular 15 m to 55 m;
- at a temperature of 70 ° C and a relative humidity of 3% on one side and 100% on the other side an sd value of 0.02 m to 80 m, preferably 0.5 m to 60 m, in particular 1 m up to 6 m.
This can ensure that the heat-insulating composite system adapts particularly advantageous to the respective weather conditions, in particular seasons changes such as summer and winter, but also to transitional periods with rapid temperature changes and different humidity, for example, inside or outside a building.
Preferably, the second cover layer with an adhesive, preferably a flame-retardant, in particular alkali-resistant adhesive, preferably a hot-melt adhesive, in particular a PU hot melt adhesive, attached to the carrier layer. In this way it can be ensured that the second cover layer is firmly connected to the carrier layer and the second cover layer does not detach from the carrier layer. A further development provides, for example, that an adhesive is used, which reacts due to the humidity and activates its sticky property, for example, preserves and / or retains it.
It is preferred that the first cover layer is formed alkali-resistant. In this way, the first cover layer can be processed, for example, with cementitious mortar. Furthermore, the first cover layer may have good adhesion to adhesives such as cement adhesives, dispersion adhesives, and cleaning materials.
In a further embodiment, the first cover layer and / or the second cover layer may have fungicidal film preservation properties. As a result, a fungus-free processing can be ensured and the storage stability can be improved. According to one embodiment, alternatively as well as in addition, an algicidal equipment may be present. A further development provides, for example, that the second cover layer is used with at least one fungicidal equipment in a building interior application, the second cover layer is used with at least one fungicidal equipment in a building exterior application.
In particular, according to a preferred embodiment, at least one cover layer, more preferably both cover layers, is gas-tight in that, according to ASTM 3985, it has an oxygen permeability of less than 4.5 cm 3 / (m 2 d bar), preferably less than or equal to 2 cm 3 / (m 2 d bar), in particular less than or equal to 0.5 cm 3 / (m 2 d bar). In this way it can be ensured that the heat-insulating composite system is gas-tight with respect to oxygen, and preferably at the same time has a water vapor permeability, in particular for upcoming building moisture.
The second cover layer preferably has a thickness of less than or equal to 1 mm, preferably less than or equal to 100 μm, in particular less than or equal to 60 μm.

Oxygen-tight in the context of the present invention is a layer if it has an oxygen permeability at 23 ° C. and 50% relative humidity (RH) of less than 4.5 cm 3 / m 2 .dbar, preferably less than 1 cm 3 / m 2 . dbar and in particular less than 0.5 cm 3 / m 2 · dbar, measured in accordance with ASTM 3985. A layer in the sense of the present invention is water vapor permeable if it has a value s d of less than or equal to 50 m, preferably smaller or equal to 40 m at 23 ° C / 0-80 rF according to DIN EN 12086.
A layer is alkali resistant if it meets, for example, ETAG 004.
Oxygen-tight layers which have a water vapor permeability s d of less than 10 m, measured according to DIN EN 12086 at 70 ° C./3-100 rF, are preferred. This can be achieved in particular with oxygen-tight layers of EVOH.
In a preferred embodiment, the oxygen-tight layer is a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and ethylene. Particularly good properties can be with these Obtain copolymers when the ethylene content is between 25 and 45 mol%, preferably between 27 and 38 mol% and in particular between 29 and 34 mol%, for example 32 mol%.
In a further embodiment, the oxygen-tight layer, for example an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, may also be part of a coextrudate which has further layers on one or both sides, for example protective layers of polypropylene. In a specific embodiment, the oxygen-tight layer is present as a coextruded layer with a layer structure ABA ', where A and A' are polypropylene and B is a vinyl alcohol-ethylene copolymer. Optionally, between the layers A and B or B and A 'in each case a further co-extruded adhesion promoter layer can be located.
In a preferred embodiment, the carrier layer is arranged between the oxygen-tight layer and the mineral coating.

The

The
Tables 1, 2 and 3 show measured results for the water vapor permeability in a laboratory test of the
Table 1 shows the results at a temperature of 23 ° C and a relative humidity of 0% on one side and 80% on the other side.
Table 2 shows the results at a temperature of 30 ° C and a relative humidity of 0% on one side and 80% on the other side.
Table 3 shows the results at a temperature of 70 ° C and a relative humidity of 3% on one side and 100% on the other side.
From Tables 1, 2 and 3 it can be seen that the water vapor diffusion resistance of the specimen decreases with increasing temperature.
Preferably, a composite with the proposed cover layer is provided as a heat-insulating composite system, wherein the cover layer is connected to a polyurethane insulation board, wherein the heat-insulating composite system is open to water vapor diffusion, on the other hand diffusive to DIN EN 13165, wherein the heat insulation Composite system is classified in a thermal conductivity group with 023 to 024 W / (m * K) or better. Furthermore, it is preferred to make the cover layer plasterable, PU preferably being used as the insulating material. It has been found that in this way an at least equal if not better WLG value is adjustable compared to aluminum laminated plates. Compared to vapor-permeable cover layers without a gas-tight layer also results in a relevant difference, since the latter have a WLG classification of 026 to 029 W / (m * K). However, such cover layers come to an insulating value comparable to that when using the proposed Cover layer with gas-tight layer are much thicker insulation boards are necessary.
