Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for dispensing flowable mass, preferably of flowable multicomponent composition, according to the preamble of claim 1, and a multicomponent cartridge, preferably for such a device, according to claim 9.
- a generic device is equipped with a discharge line for discharging flowable mass from the device, and a squeezing unit, by means of which at least a portion of the contents of a cartridge from the cartridge in the outflow line is pressed out.
- a squeezing device for two-component masses is for example from the DE 102011075873 A1 known.
- the components are in adjacent containers, which are formed as hard structures or preferably as a film container, wherein the film containers can be surrounded in particular by a pressure-stable support structure.
- the two containers are pressurized on their back by means of two pistons with pressure. As a result of the pressure, the two components exit from the front of the containers, where they are mixed and discharged.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device for dispensing flowable mass and a multi-component, with a low production cost, high operational reliability, high efficiency and in a particularly simple manner a particularly high precision, in particular with regard to the discharge amount and the mixing ratio, and a particularly simple variability in terms of the mixing ratio can be achieved.
- a device according to the invention is characterized in that the device comprises a cartridge reservoir which holds a plurality of cartridges, that the device has a feed channel for feeding cartridges of the cartridge reservoir into the ejection unit, and that the device has a discharge channel for discharging, preferably at least partially , in particular completely emptied, having cartridges from the squeezing unit.
- a basic idea of the invention can be seen in not providing the mass to be pressed out or its components in a single large cartridge which is successively pressed out, but in a plurality of separate small cartridges, which are held in a cartridge memory, each of which is only comparatively small Amount of material, in particular only a single portion containing, and in a single Auspressvorgang to a relatively large part, in particular completely, are pressed out.
- the cartridges of the cartridge storage are automatically fed to the squeezing unit via a feed channel and automatically discharged from the squeezing unit via a discharge channel.
- the invention has recognized that in conventional dispensing devices under certain circumstances can lead to inaccuracies, which are due to the fact that in conventional dispensing devices with large containers, the pressurized container volume is a multiple of the expressing step applied Auspressvolumens. Since the container wall always has a certain flexibility, the pressurization results in the Auspress intimid to an expansion of the container, which is regularly degraded again at the end of the Auspress suitss. The container thus inflates and then contracts again. If the container is now volumengross, this effect can be considerable due to the correspondingly large container surface even with very rigid container wall materials.
- the said swelling of the container in known large containers can, inter alia, lead to an undesirable run after the mass to be squeezed, in which the mass is further expressed even after completion of the advance of the squeezing piston of the residual pressure stored in the container wall and thus expires largely uncontrolled. Further undesirable consequences may be said swelling during the dispensing of multicomponent systems, in particular when geometrically different containers are used for the individual components. Because due As a result of the different mechanical properties of the various components and their respective containers, the expansion and contraction tendencies of the respective containers are generally different, which can lead to different volumetric flow ratios at the various containers via a squeezing step or over the overall squeezing process. In extreme cases, the different volumetric flow ratios can lead to mixed disturbances.
- the container volume pressurized in the extrusion step may be at least of the order of magnitude of the relatively small extrusion volume.
- the aforementioned inaccuracies resulting from inflation of large-volume containers can thus be reduced or, in particular if a new cartridge is used in each extrusion step, which is substantially completely squeezed out, can also be completely avoided. In particular, therefore, the overrun of ground and the mixing disorders described above is effectively counteracted. Since according to the invention, the consequences of the inflation of the container can be significantly reduced, according to the invention also lower container wall thicknesses and / or more elastic components can be used.
- the flowable composition may, for example, be a sealant, a multicomponent mortar, a multicomponent coating composition, a multicomponent paint, a multicomponent foam precursor, a multicomponent adhesive, a multicomponent sealant or a multicomponent lubricant.
- the flowable mass may be a material consisting of one component and the cartridges may be one-component cartridges.
- the flowable mass is a multicomponent mass. This may in particular be understood to mean a mass composed of two or more, in particular mixed, components. With the device according to the invention, especially multicomponent masses can be applied in a particularly simple and reliable manner. If the flowable mass is a multicomponent mass, it is advantageous that at least part of the cartridges, preferably all cartridges, are designed as multicomponent cartridges, the multicomponent cartridges each having a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein in the first chamber a first material component and a second material component different from the first material component is contained in the second chamber.
- the mixing ratio can be specified in a particularly simple manner by the geometry of the cartridges, so that the risk of misuse by the user is significantly reduced.
- the first material component may be a resin and the second material component may be a hardener.
- the first chamber and the second chamber are preferably separated from each other.
- the multicomponent cartridges may also have further chambers, in which preferably further material components are contained.
- the squeezing unit has an extrusion piston.
- the extrusion piston can act in this case at the same time on both chambers, so that in a particularly simple and reliable way a simultaneous pressing of the two chambers is possible.
- a further preferred embodiment of the invention is that on the extrusion piston a hold-down for temporarily fixing the multi-component cartridge in the extrusion unit is arranged.
- a hold-down device By means of such a hold-down device, the reliability of the squeezing process can be increased in a particularly simple manner.
- the cartridge to be squeezed out can be laterally sealed during the squeezing process and / or it can be prevented that the cartridge to be squeezed out laterally slips during the squeezing process.
- the hold-down device may preferably be formed as a hold-down sleeve, in which the extrusion piston is arranged to be movable.
- a tension spring may be provided for the hold-down.
- the cartridge storage may for example be a container in which the held cartridges are received.
- the cartridge memory is a storage strip with a band-shaped carrier on which the held cartridges are arranged side by side.
- the device has a waste container, wherein the discharge channel for discharging cartridges from the squeezing unit is formed in the waste container.
- the discharge channel for discharging cartridges from the squeezing unit is formed in the waste container.
- a mixer is provided in the outflow line, whereby a particularly good homogeneity of the flowable mass can be achieved.
- a multicomponent cartridge according to the invention is preferably provided for use in a device according to the invention for dispensing flowable mass.
- the multicomponent cartridge is formed with a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein in the first chamber, a first material component and in the second chamber is a second material component different from the first material component, wherein the first chamber and the second chamber closed by a common Foliendeckel are.
- Such a multi-component cartridge is particularly simple and robust in construction and can be pressed particularly easily in a device according to the invention.
- the common Foliendeckel is preferably flat, whereby the space requirement can be reduced and the handling can be improved.
- the first chamber and the second chamber are preferably separated from each other.
- the multicomponent cartridges may also have further chambers, in which preferably further material components are contained.
- the two chambers are formed in a circle segment shape in section. They preferably form segments of the same circle.
- a particularly simple structure is given.
- the invention also relates to the use of a device according to the invention for expressing at least part of the contents of two differently dimensioned multi-component cartridges according to the invention.
- a position of the intermediate wall between the two chambers may be different, so that different mixing ratios can be obtained.
- a basic idea of the invention can be seen in the recognition that with equal assumed elasticities of all components, a reduced pressurized volume has a reduced absolute expansion and contraction tendency. Based on this, the volume of the chambers of the cartridges can be reduced so far that for each Auspressvorgang each one cartridge is available and is pressed out. The correspondingly smaller volume reduces the tendency for expansion and contraction.
- the squeeze volume can be based on the current stroke sizes, which are in the range of one to two-digit milliliter sizes.
- the components are in the correct mixing ratio, parallel, separated and at the same time in a cartridge.
- FIG. 1 A first exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention for dispensing flowable mass is disclosed in US Pat FIG. 1 shown.
- the device can be used to extrude multicomponent cartridges designed as two-component cartridges according to the invention FIGS. 2 to 4 serve.
- the in the FIGS. 2 to 4 shown multi-component cartridges have a first chamber 21 and a second chamber 22, wherein in the first chamber 21, a first material component and in the second chamber 22 is a different from the first material component second material component is included.
- Both chambers 21 and 22 may preferably be designed as a thermoformed plastic container.
- the multi-component cartridge has a common flat foil lid 23, on which the two chambers 21 and 22 are arranged next to one another, and which closes the two chambers 21 and 22.
- the two chambers 21 and 22 in section form segments of the same circle, and the foil lid 23 is formed with an approximately circular circumference. In principle, however, other geometries are possible.
- the foil lid 23 may have a pre-perforation which forms predetermined breaking points in order to ensure a defined opening of the chambers 21 and 22.
- guide tabs 29 formed, which can serve to guide the cartridges in the device for dispensing flowable mass.
- the device for dispensing flowable mass has a cartridge memory 3, which holds a plurality of cartridges 2, and which is formed in the illustrated embodiment as a preferably curved storage container in which the cartridges are in series next to each other.
- the apparatus further comprises an outflow line 8 for discharging flowable mass from the device, and a squeezing unit 4, into which cartridges 2 of the cartridge memory 3 can be fed via a feed channel 11, and by means of which the contents of the supplied cartridges 2 can be pressed into the outflow line 8 is.
- the ejection unit 4 has a baffle plate 44, which is provided with a passage opening, to which the outflow line 8 is connected.
- the cartridges 2 are arranged in the cartridge memory 3 in such a way that the cartridges 2 fed into the ejection unit 4 via the feed channel 11 come to lie with their respective foil lid 23 over the passage opening of the baffle plate 44.

The object of the invention is to provide a device for dispensing flowable mass and a multi-component, with a low production cost, high operational reliability, high efficiency and in a particularly simple manner a particularly high precision, in particular with regard to the discharge amount and the mixing ratio, and a particularly simple variability in terms of the mixing ratio can be achieved.
The object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1 and a multi-component cartridge having the features of
A device according to the invention is characterized in that the device comprises a cartridge reservoir which holds a plurality of cartridges, that the device has a feed channel for feeding cartridges of the cartridge reservoir into the ejection unit, and that the device has a discharge channel for discharging, preferably at least partially , in particular completely emptied, having cartridges from the squeezing unit.
A basic idea of the invention can be seen in not providing the mass to be pressed out or its components in a single large cartridge which is successively pressed out, but in a plurality of separate small cartridges, which are held in a cartridge memory, each of which is only comparatively small Amount of material, in particular only a single portion containing, and in a single Auspressvorgang to a relatively large part, in particular completely, are pressed out. The cartridges of the cartridge storage are automatically fed to the squeezing unit via a feed channel and automatically discharged from the squeezing unit via a discharge channel.
The invention has recognized that in conventional dispensing devices under certain circumstances can lead to inaccuracies, which are due to the fact that in conventional dispensing devices with large containers, the pressurized container volume is a multiple of the expressing step applied Auspressvolumens. Since the container wall always has a certain flexibility, the pressurization results in the Auspressschritt to an expansion of the container, which is regularly degraded again at the end of the Auspressschritts. The container thus inflates and then contracts again. If the container is now volumengross, this effect can be considerable due to the correspondingly large container surface even with very rigid container wall materials. The said swelling of the container in known large containers can, inter alia, lead to an undesirable run after the mass to be squeezed, in which the mass is further expressed even after completion of the advance of the squeezing piston of the residual pressure stored in the container wall and thus expires largely uncontrolled.
This is where the invention begins and provides for a plurality of separate small containers instead of a single large container. Thus, the container volume pressurized in the extrusion step may be at least of the order of magnitude of the relatively small extrusion volume. The aforementioned inaccuracies resulting from inflation of large-volume containers can thus be reduced or, in particular if a new cartridge is used in each extrusion step, which is substantially completely squeezed out, can also be completely avoided. In particular, therefore, the overrun of ground and the mixing disorders described above is effectively counteracted. Since according to the invention, the consequences of the inflation of the container can be significantly reduced, according to the invention also lower container wall thicknesses and / or more elastic components can be used.
Next can be given according to the invention, a comparatively high efficiency. Because known masses often have after opening the container only a limited storage time. If large-volume containers are used in this case, but at the moment only a small amount is required, it may be necessary to discard a relatively large amount of material. In contrast, according to the invention can be carried out with small containers, the contents of which is preferably pressed out substantially completely in each Auspressschritt, the storage life after opening of the container is usually irrelevant and thus reduces the material throw in the delivery of small quantities. In particular, therefore, according to the invention, comparatively little waste and bulk waste can be incurred, since only the amount actually required is consumed, and comparatively long storage times can be achieved, in particular in comparison with large containers which have started.
In addition, according to the invention comparatively low extrusion forces and a particularly good system stability can be obtained, since only a relatively small volume must be pressurized.
With the inventive device for dispensing can be pressed without modification of the device cartridges with different content. The device is therefore particularly versatile. The flowable composition may, for example, be a sealant, a multicomponent mortar, a multicomponent coating composition, a multicomponent paint, a multicomponent foam precursor, a multicomponent adhesive, a multicomponent sealant or a multicomponent lubricant.
In principle, the flowable mass may be a material consisting of one component and the cartridges may be one-component cartridges. However, it is particularly preferred that the flowable mass is a multicomponent mass. By using such multi-component cartridges, the mixing ratio can be specified in a particularly simple manner by the geometry of the cartridges, so that the risk of misuse by the user is significantly reduced. For example, the first material component may be a resin and the second material component may be a hardener. The first chamber and the second chamber are preferably separated from each other. The multicomponent cartridges may also have further chambers, in which preferably further material components are contained.
It is particularly expedient that the squeezing unit has an extrusion piston. In this way, a structurally particularly simple device can be obtained. When using multicomponent cartridges, it is advantageous for the extrusion piston to cover both chambers of a multicomponent cartridge for simultaneously pressing out the two chambers of a multicomponent cartridge. The extrusion piston can act in this case at the same time on both chambers, so that in a particularly simple and reliable way a simultaneous pressing of the two chambers is possible.
A further preferred embodiment of the invention is that on the extrusion piston a hold-down for temporarily fixing the multi-component cartridge in the extrusion unit is arranged. By means of such a hold-down device, the reliability of the squeezing process can be increased in a particularly simple manner. In particular, the cartridge to be squeezed out can be laterally sealed during the squeezing process and / or it can be prevented that the cartridge to be squeezed out laterally slips during the squeezing process. The hold-down device may preferably be formed as a hold-down sleeve, in which the extrusion piston is arranged to be movable. In particular, a tension spring may be provided for the hold-down.
The cartridge storage may for example be a container in which the held cartridges are received. Alternatively it can be provided that the cartridge memory is a storage strip with a band-shaped carrier on which the held cartridges are arranged side by side. As a result, the ease of use and operational reliability can be further increased.
Furthermore, it is expedient that the device has a waste container, wherein the discharge channel for discharging cartridges from the squeezing unit is formed in the waste container. As a result, empty cartridges can be collected in a particularly simple manner. The feed channel and the discharge channel are conveniently located on opposite sides of the squeeze unit to allow for efficient cartridge transport.
Preferably, a mixer is provided in the outflow line, whereby a particularly good homogeneity of the flowable mass can be achieved.
A multicomponent cartridge according to the invention is preferably provided for use in a device according to the invention for dispensing flowable mass. The multicomponent cartridge is formed with a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein in the first chamber, a first material component and in the second chamber is a second material component different from the first material component, wherein the first chamber and the second chamber closed by a common Foliendeckel are. Such a multi-component cartridge is particularly simple and robust in construction and can be pressed particularly easily in a device according to the invention. The common Foliendeckel is preferably flat, whereby the space requirement can be reduced and the handling can be improved. The first chamber and the second chamber are preferably separated from each other. The multicomponent cartridges may also have further chambers, in which preferably further material components are contained.
It is particularly preferred that the two chambers are formed in a circle segment shape in section. They preferably form segments of the same circle. As a result, a particularly simple structure is given. By repositioning the circular chord-like parting line between the two chambers in the production of the cartridge cartridges can be constructed with different mixing ratios in a particularly simple and visually easy to understand without changing the outer contour of the cartridges. These cartridges can be squeezed out by means of one and the same device.
The invention also relates to the use of a device according to the invention for expressing at least part of the contents of two differently dimensioned multi-component cartridges according to the invention. In particular, in the case of these two multi-component cartridges, with a substantially identical outer geometry, a position of the intermediate wall between the two chambers may be different, so that different mixing ratios can be obtained.
Features that are discussed here in connection with the device according to the invention can also be used in the multi-component cartridge according to the invention and vice versa.
A basic idea of the invention can be seen in the recognition that with equal assumed elasticities of all components, a reduced pressurized volume has a reduced absolute expansion and contraction tendency. Based on this, the volume of the chambers of the cartridges can be reduced so far that for each Auspressvorgang each one cartridge is available and is pressed out. The correspondingly smaller volume reduces the tendency for expansion and contraction. The squeeze volume can be based on the current stroke sizes, which are in the range of one to two-digit milliliter sizes. The components are in the correct mixing ratio, parallel, separated and at the same time in a cartridge.
