Das erfindungsgemäße Nietwerkzeug 1 wird nachstehend anhand der Figuren 1 bis 3 in einer Arbeitsposition in Figur 1 und in einer geöffneten Serviceposition in Figur 3 näher erläutert. Die Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 weisen einen im Querschnitt halbkreisförmigen Abschnitt 6 auf und bilden so gemeinsam einen im Wesentlichen zylindrischen Abschnitt für ein in Figur 1 andeutungsweise dargestelltes, als Druckfeder ausgeführtes Federelement 7. In der in Figur 3 gezeigten geöffneten Position der Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 sind diese entgegen der Rückstellkraft des Federelementes 7 verlagert und ermöglichen so die Spreizung zum Durchlass der Niete, während die Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 in der in Figur 1 gezeigten Arbeitsposition durch die Rückstellkraft des auch in dieser Position wirkenden Federelementes 7 durch eine die beiden Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 kalottenförmig einschließende Kontaktfläche 8 in der geschlossenen Position gegeneinander vorgespannt sind. Erfindungsgemäß lässt sich darüber hinaus durch eine Drehbewegung um eine Längsachse 9 des Schaftes 2 eine weitere Position der Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 als Serviceposition der Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 einstellen, wobei sich die Rotationsbewegung durch eine sich rotationssymmetrisch ergänzende Kontur der beiden Nietmundstückhaltebacken 3 ergibt.   2. Riveting tool (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the receptacle (13) has a bearing surface (12) which has an orientation at an inclination to a cross-sectional plane (15) with respect to the longitudinal axis (9) of the shaft (2).
  3. Riveting tool (1) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that adjacent riveting mouthpiece holding jaws (3) bear against a respective receptacle (13) with corresponding inclination with respect to the cross-sectional plane (15) of the shaft (2) and with opposite orientation.
  4. Riveting tool (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the radial projection (10) has an, in particular interchangeable, bolt with a circular cross section.
  5. Riveting tool (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the formation (11) extends parallel to a parting plane between the riveting mouthpiece holding jaws (3).
  6. Riveting tool (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each riveting mouthpiece holding jaw (3) has precisely two formations (11), and in that the two receptacles (13) of the shaft (2) are arranged so as to be distributed symmetrically with respect to the circumference of the shaft (2).
