Description

The present invention relates to a package of cardboard, paper or the like, comprising a front wall and a rear wall, at least two side walls connecting the front and rear walls for forming end faces of the package, the package being in the form of a prismatic body along a longitudinal axis a floor construction comprising at least one hinged to the front or rear wall bottom flap for bottom closure of the package and a lid construction comprising at least one hinged at the front or rear cover flap for lid closure of the packaging, the bottom construction and / or the lid construction at least one comprises a bottom-side and / or lid-side end of at least one front side side wall hinged dust flap. The invention further relates to a blank for producing such a package. Such packages are known in a wide variety. In particular, such packages are used for filling, transporting and storing packaged or unpackaged free-flowing goods. The goods may be, for example, cereals, grain flakes or other pourable and pourable food. From the DE 20 2004 011 165 U1 is a powder-tight packaging for powdered goods known. The known packaging is formed in the form of a prismatic, octagonal body along a longitudinal axis. From the US 2011/111938 A1 and the US 2013/102447 A1 Packaging and blanks according to the preambles of claims 1 and 7 are known. The packaging according to the US 2011/111938 A1 However, serves only as an outer packaging for storing a liquid-containing container, in particular a corresponding liquid-tight packaging or a liquid-tight bag.

A disadvantage of such prismatic packaging, especially in packaging with a hexagonal or octagonal base surface, however, is the problem that form instabilities occur in an automatic, mechanical straightening and filling of the blank or the packaging, which complicate the safe machine filling the packaging or make impossible.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a generic packaging and a blank for this, which ensure a simple and secure machine filling with particular bulk, powdery and / or free-flowing goods while maintaining the dimensional stability of the packaging.

To achieve these objects is a generic carton according to the features of claim 1 and a blank according to the features of claim 7. Advantageous embodiments with expedient developments of the invention are specified in the respective dependent claims, wherein advantageous embodiments of the package as advantageous embodiments of the blank and to look at the other way around.

A packaging of cardboard, paper or the like according to the invention comprises a front wall and a rear wall, at least two side walls connecting the front and rear walls for forming end faces of the packaging, the packaging being in the form of a prismatic body along a longitudinal axis, a bottom construction comprising at least one hinged to the front or rear wall bottom tab for bottom closure of the package and a lid construction comprising at least one hinged to the front or rear wall cover flap for lid-side closure of the package, wherein the Floor construction and / or the lid construction comprises at least one attached to a bottom and / or lid-side end of at least one end-side sidewall dust flap. In this case, the dust flap on at least one latching lug, wherein the latching lug is designed such that it rests latching in the closed position of the dust flap on the bottom and / or cover flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall. By forming at least one locking lug, which rests in the closed position of the dust flap on the corresponding areas of the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall of the packaging, ensures that the packaging retains its shape. Since the detent latchingly engages in the closed position of the dust flap, there is a fixed contact between the detent nose and the corresponding areas of the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall of the packaging. In particular, this is important in the automatic, automatic straightening and filling of the packaging. Only with dimensionally stable packaging a simple and safe mechanical filling with particular pourable, powdery and / or free-flowing food is guaranteed. Such a latching concern and the resulting fixed contact of the dust flap on the corresponding areas of the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall of the package is not from the prior art, in particular from the above-mentioned documents known or suggested. In addition, the locking lug is designed such that it locks in the closed position in a formed in the bottom and / or cover flap recess. Under recess is to be understood as any opening that is suitable for locking the locking lug. For example, the recess or opening may be round, oval, semicircular, polygonal or slot-like. Other forms of opening or recess are conceivable. Furthermore, this recess is formed in the transition region between the front and / or the rear wall and the corresponding bottom and / or cover flap. In this case, the recess facing one of the locking lug and the latching nose open Recess or opening or as in the transition region between the front and / or the rear wall and the corresponding bottom and / or cover flap formed, closed recess, ie be formed complete opening. The formation of said recess for locking the detent additionally increases the dimensional stability of the packaging.

In further advantageous embodiments of the packaging according to the invention the locking lug is designed such that it rests at least partially in a closed position on the or the side walls on which or to which it is not articulated. This embodiment of the dust flap ensures a secure closure or a secure cover in the area of the lid and / or bottom construction of the packaging. Furthermore, as a result of the at least regionally resting of the dust flap on the side walls or the walls of the packaging, an increased loading stability of the packaging in these areas results. Such packaging can therefore be easily stacked on top of each other, which is necessary, for example, when shipping on pallets. Furthermore, thinner board thicknesses can optionally be used in comparison to previously known packages. This material saving results in significant cost advantages through the packaging according to the invention. In addition, there is the possibility that the dust flap is designed such that it protrudes in a closed position over at least one side wall, on which it rests, at least partially. Due to the at least partially protruding out of the dust flap on the side wall and the corresponding dimensioning of the dust flap is ensured that this rests on the one hand on the side wall and on the other hand, this safely covers. Also, a possible lateral pressure load of the packaging according to the invention in the area of the lid and / or bottom construction does not cause the dust flap is displaced from its support on the side wall.

In further advantageous embodiments of the packaging includes the Staublasche at least a first portion, wherein the first portion is hinged to the respective end-side side wall, and is formed such that it covers in the closed position of the dust flap formed by the front side side walls of the base area. This ensures that regardless of the base of the prismatic packaging, the surfaces formed by the side walls are reliably covered and closed by the first portion of the dust flap. In this case, the dust flap can have at least one second section adjoining the first section, wherein the second section is designed in such a way that, in the closed position of the dust flap, it bears against the inner sides of the front and rear walls at least in regions. By the concerns of the second section on the insides of the front and rear wall of the distance between the front and rear wall is clearly defined. The insides of the front and rear walls are supported against the second section of the dust flap. This contributes to the increased dimensional stability of the packaging according to the invention. The statement that the second section adjoins the first section does not exclude that a possibly differently shaped intermediate area is formed between the first and second area. In other words, the second section may directly or indirectly connect to the first section. Furthermore, there is the possibility that the latching lug (s) is formed in the first portion and / or the second portion of the dust flap.

In further advantageous embodiments of the packaging according to the invention, a base surface of the packaging formed as a prismatic body is polygonal, in particular six-, eight-, ten- or twelve-sided. Other forms are conceivable.

Another aspect of the invention relates to a blank for the manufacture of a carton, paper or the like package comprising front wall, back wall and side wall panels connected by bend lines for formation the packaging as a prismatic molded body in the folded state of the blank. In this case, the blank comprises at least one hinged on the front and / or rear wall panel lid and / or bottom flap and at least one hinged on at least one side wall dust flap. According to the invention, the dust flap is designed such that it has at least one latching lug, wherein the latching lug is designed to latch in the closed position of the blank in the folded state of the blank on the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall is applied. In the folded state of the blank, the latching nose contributes to the dimensional stability of the packaging formed from the blank. The side elements of the blank or the side walls of the packaging produced therefrom press the latching nose in the folded state of the blank against the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall of the folded packaging. Since the locking lug rests latching in the folded state of the blank and in the closed position of the dust flap, there is a fixed contact between the latching lug and the corresponding areas of the bottom and / or lid flap and / or the front wall and / or the rear wall of the packaging. By this support or locking the dimensional stability of the folded packaging is achieved. In addition, the locking lug is designed such that it latch in the folded state of the blank and in the closed position of the dust flap in a formed in the bottom and / or cover flap recess. This recess is formed in the transition region between the front and / or rear wall element and the corresponding bottom and / or cover flap. In the folded state of the blank, the latching nose contributes to the dimensional stability of the packaging formed from the blank. This can be further increased if the detent latches in said recess. Under recess is to be understood as any opening that is suitable for locking the locking lug. For example, the recess or opening may be round, oval, semicircular, polygonal or slot-like. Other forms of opening or recess are conceivable. It can the recess as a latching nose facing and the latching nose open recess or opening or as a transitional area between the front and / or the rear wall and the corresponding bottom and / or cover flap formed, closed recess, ie be formed complete opening.

In further advantageous embodiments of the blank according to the invention, the dust flap is designed such that it rests at least partially in the folded state of the blank and in a closed position on the one or more side elements on which it is not articulated. A cut formed in this way ensures a secure closure or secure covering of a packaging produced therefrom in the area of the lid and / or bottom construction. In addition, the blank according to the invention leads to an increased load stability of the packaging produced therefrom in the areas of the lid and / or floor construction. In addition, the dust flap can be designed such that it protrudes at least partially in the folded state of the blank and in a closed position via at least one side element on which it rests. By such a configuration of the dust flap is in turn ensured that the packaging produced from the blank is securely covered by the dust flap and also has a much higher dimensional stability than comparable known packaging.

In further advantageous embodiments of the blank according to the invention, the dust flap comprises at least a first portion, wherein the first portion is articulated to the respective end side member and is formed such that it formed in the folded state of the blank and in the closed position of the dust flap formed by the end side arranged side members Covered area of a base of the package. This inventive design of the first portion of the dust flap ensures that it is independent of the base the packaging in the areas of the dust flap (s) reliably covers this area. Furthermore, there is the possibility that the dust flap comprises at least one second section adjoining the first section, wherein the second section is designed in such a way that it rests on the inner sides of the front and rear wall elements in the folded state of the blank and in the closed position of the dust flap , This feature of the blank in turn contributes to the dimensional stability of the package produced from the blank. The width of the second portion is chosen such that abut in the folded state of the blank, the end portions of the second portion each at least partially against the inner sides of the front and rear wall elements. The statement that the second section adjoins the first section does not exclude that a possibly differently shaped intermediate area is formed between the first and second area. In other words, the second section may directly or indirectly connect to the first section. Furthermore, there is the possibility that the latching lug (s) is formed in the first section and / or second section of the dust flap.

FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of a package 10, which is used in particular for storage and transport of bulk, powdered and pourable food. The package 10 in this case has a front wall 12 and a rear wall 14, which in each case via three side walls 22, 22 ', 22 ", 24, 24', 24" (see also Figures 2 and 3 ) are connected. The side walls 22, 22 ', 22 ", 24, 24', 24" form the end faces 16, 18 of the package 10. It can be seen that the package 10 is formed in the form of a prismatic body along a longitudinal axis L and an octagonal base 38th having. The package 10 also has a bottom construction 20, each having a hinged at the front and rear walls 12, 14 bottom tab 26, 28 for bottom closure of the package 10 (see also FIG. 3 ). Furthermore, the package 10 has a lid construction 30, the lid construction 30 each comprising a lid flap 32, 34 hinged to the front and rear walls 12, 14 for closing the lid on the packaging. In addition, in the illustrated embodiment, both the bottom construction 20 as well as the lid construction 30 each have a on the bottom-side and lid-side ends of the end-side side walls 22, 24 hinged dust flaps 36 (see also FIG. 3 ). It can be seen that the dust flaps 36 are articulated on the middle of the three side walls 22, 24 forming the end faces 16, 18.

Furthermore, it can be seen that the dust flaps 36 each include a first portion 40, wherein the first portion 40 is hinged to the respective end-side side wall 22, 24. The first section 40 is followed by a second section 42, wherein in the transition region between the first portion 40 and the second portion 42 each lateral locking lugs 44 are arranged. The locking lugs 44 are designed such that they in a closed position of the dust flap 36 (see also FIG. 2 ) can latch into the recesses 46 formed in the bottom and top flaps 26, 28, 32, 34 and form a corresponding fixed contact between these elements of the package 10. The recesses 46 are each formed in the transition region between the front and rear walls 12, 14 and the corresponding bottom and top flaps 26, 28, 32, 34 as in the direction of the locking lugs 44 open recesses.

FIG. 2 shows the package 10 with a closed position of the dust flaps 36 of the lid construction 30. It can be seen that the dust flaps 36 are formed such that they rest in the closed position on the side walls 22 ', 22 ", 24', 24". On the side walls 22 ', 22 ", 24', 24", the dust flap 36 is not articulated. Furthermore, it becomes clear that the dust flaps 36 in their closed position project beyond the said side walls 22 ', 22 ", 24', 24" and thus in total extend through the side walls 22, 22 ', 22 ", 24, 24' arranged on the front side, 24 "formed area of the base 38 of the formed as a prismatic body package 10 cover. On the one hand, a secure closure or secure covering of this area of the packaging 10 is ensured. On the other hand, the load stability of the package 10 increases significantly in this area. The dust flaps 36 of the floor construction 20 are identical.
