Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, den gattungsgemäßen Fliesenschneider gebrauchsvorteilhaft weiterzubilden. Gelöst wird die Aufgabe durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1. Zunächst und im Wesentlichen wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Brechbackeneinrichtung und der Schlitten über eine Steuerflankenanordnung zusammenwirken, wobei eine Steuerflanke der Brechbackeneinrichtung mit einem Steuerglied des Schlittens zusammenwirkt, um die Brechbackeneinrichtung abzusenken. Die Brechbacken können hierzu an einer schwenkbar am Gestell befestigten Hebelanordnung sitzen, wobei die Hebelanordnung zwei parallel zueinander verlaufende Hebelarme aufweisen können. Die beiden Hebelarme sind um eine Schwenkachse schwenkbar, insbesondere an einem Träger der Führung befestigt. An den freien Enden der Hebelarme sitzen jeweils insbesondere keilförmige Brechbacken. Claims (12)

  1. A tile cutter having a base frame (1) with a base plate (2) and a guide (3) which is disposed above the base plate (2) and along which a slide (4) carrying a cutting tool (5) is displaceable in order to produce a score on the surface of a tile resting on the base plate (2), and having a breaker jaw device (6) which is gear-coupled to the slide (4) and is lowered onto the surface of the tile in the end phase of the displacement of the slide (4) in order to break the tile along the score, whereby the tile cutter has a control flank arrangement to lower the breaker jaw device (6), characterized in that the control flank arrangement has a control flank (8) of the breaker jaw device (6) which interacts with a control member (9) of the slide (4).
