Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing flexible packaging products according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- the film material should have a consistent and most advantageous coefficient of friction on the whole role. Too smooth slides slip preference in the rollers or grippers, too blunt films tend to wrinkles in deflections. Often desired slip properties are sought with lubricant additives, which are applied to the films or incorporated into the film material. These equipments are expensive, difficult to produce reliably, and lose the desired duration of action over the shelf life of the films due to migration of the lubricant additives in the film layers. In addition, the lubricants may pose health risks to the consumers of such packaged products. Another method for achieving desired sliding properties is to structure the film surface by means of mechanical embossing. Here, too, the effect on the storage time can be reduced by the mechanical imprinting regresses. A favorable in itself and meaningful for the market printing of the film surface is hardly used in the described preferred technique for the reasons described above. An optionally existing printing on the film material can adversely affect the coefficient of friction and the printing must not be damaged by the sliding transport of the film material.
- the present invention seeks to propose a method for the production of flexible packaging products, in which the requirements for the film material are reduced to a minimum, while increasing production reliability, minimizing material subsidies for welds and Edge trimming and minimization of rejects.
- this solution according to the invention has the advantage that no further transfer of the film sections occurs due to the maintenance of the positive connection after transfer of the film sections to the fixing devices, thereby avoiding inaccuracies during welding and any further work steps.
- the film sections can be exposed during transport without overuse of the film material significantly higher accelerations than would be the case if, as in the prior art, the whole film web would have to be moved.
- the invention also relates to a device according to the preamble of independent claim 5, which achieves the same object as the method according to claim 1.
- FIG. 1 can be seen as a central element, a transport device 1, which consists in the illustrated embodiment of two parallel, synchronously driven chain conveyors 2, the foil sections 4 convey in a transport direction 5. But it can also be provided only a single chain conveyor 2. Instead of chain conveyors, other transport devices may be provided, for example circulating belts or cables, or transport units driven by a screw conveyor or individual linear motors. Several fixing devices, which will be discussed in more detail later, are used for the positive fixing of the film sections 4 on the chain conveyor 2. For feeding the transport device 1 with film sections 4 are in the FIG. 1 two alternative arrangements are shown, wherein the corresponding reference numbers are each denoted by a letter a or b.
- the variant a denotes a feed of the film sections 4 transversely to the transport direction 5
- the variant b denotes a feeding of the film sections 4 in the transport direction.
- Both variants a and b each comprise a supply roll 6a or 6b, from which a film web 7a or 7b is unwound.
- Roller pairs 8a and 8b provide for the unwinding of the film web from the supply roll and the feeding of the film web to a cutting device 9a or 9b, are cut with the film sections 4 of the film web 7a and 7b.
- the supply roll 6a or 6b in the present example contains two film layers, which are either present separately or formed by folding a film web. Also, for example, a film layer for the production of bottom pleated bags already incorporated and connected, for example, by selective adhesive welds with the other film webs. But it is also possible to provide each layer of film on a separate supply roll.
- a positioning device 10 which can be moved in all directions, as indicated by the arrow group 11, has the task of gripping the film sections 4 separated by the cutting device 9a or 9b and positioning them exactly on the fixing devices 3.
- the positioning device can be equipped with vacuum grippers.
- the exact positioning is preferably carried out with the aid of markings which are printed or embossed on the film web 7a or 7b, whereby any inaccuracies caused by stretching or shrinking of the film web can be compensated for by placing the film sections 4 correspondingly on the fixing devices 3. This is a significant advantage over the conventional type of production on a web, where inaccuracies can add up.
- the fixing devices 3 are formed in the present example as needle groups which penetrate the film sections 4. Hold-down devices, not shown, ensure that the film sections 4 do not detach from the needle groups during transport.
- the fixing means 3 may include areas which are impressed in the film sections 4. These areas can be formed, for example, by conical or pyramidal elevations, wherein the hold-downs have suitable depressions into which the elevations mentioned urge the relevant areas of the film sections 4.
- the fixing devices 3 are arranged on the parallel chain conveyors 2, such that two parallel side edges of the film sections 4 are fixed through them, as seen in the transport direction 5.
- Reference numeral 12 designates a welding station comprising an upper tool 13 and a lower tool 14, each being at least vertically movable, as indicated by the double arrows 15 and 16.
- the representation of the device is the sake of clarity, aborted right next to the welding station 12.
- the device may include other workstations, for example, as another welding station, cooling station, cutting station, assembly station, for example, for Einschweissmaschine, inspection station or removal station for finished packaging bag as well as remaining in the fixing devices 3 edge portions can be trained.

Abstract
The method is used to produce flexible packaging products, in particular packaging bags, wherein the packaging products are formed by welding two film layers. In order to avoid inaccuracies in the sequence of work steps, film sections (4) formed by film layers are separated from a film web (7a, 7b), transferred to a transport device (1) and fixed there in a form-fitting manner on at least one edge with a fixing device (3). Then, the film sections (4) by means of the transport device (1) in a transport direction (5) while maintaining the positive connection transported to at least one welding station (12), the film layers there welded together and the film sections (4), while maintaining the positive connection transported further.
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing flexible packaging products according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
It is known to produce packaging products from belt-shaped sheet material which is supplied on rolls. The feed of the film material is carried out either by pairs of rollers or arranged along a manufacturing plant grippers that transport the film material gradually. As a result, claims are made on the film material that are not due to the packaging purpose and content, but primarily by the manufacturing process. The tensile forces exerted on the sheet material require a material which has high tensile strength and low elongation, even at relatively high temperatures of up to over 200 degrees Celsius, such as occur during welding. When feeding by gripper the film material must also have a certain rigidity, as always a portion of the web is pushed through the gripper. Therefore, the processing of thin films with these known methods is difficult.
The film material should have a consistent and most advantageous coefficient of friction on the whole role.
Other disadvantages of these known manufacturing methods are that when inserting and changing the film rolls a significant start-off committee arises, among other things, because the film material of each new role has its own coefficient of friction and the manufacturing plant must be set to the new preferential conditions. The associated changing elongation of the film webs leads to inaccuracies and rejects. In addition, the methods described require wider welds than would be necessary for the particular packaging purpose, so that inaccuracies and fluctuations in the management of the film material can be compensated by the plant installation. Accordingly, waste tends to be created by trimming the edges of the packaging products due to the fluctuating positions of preference.
Based on this prior art, the present invention seeks to propose a method for the production of flexible packaging products, in which the requirements for the film material are reduced to a minimum, while increasing production reliability, minimizing material subsidies for welds and Edge trimming and minimization of rejects.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features stated in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
In particular, this solution according to the invention has the advantage that no further transfer of the film sections occurs due to the maintenance of the positive connection after transfer of the film sections to the fixing devices, thereby avoiding inaccuracies during welding and any further work steps. In addition, the film sections can be exposed during transport without overuse of the film material significantly higher accelerations than would be the case if, as in the prior art, the whole film web would have to be moved.

The
The
