  • the physician may remove the adjustment mechanism 342 and insert the locking mechanism inserter 344 to lock the implant 100 in the desired expansion or retraction.
  • the locking mechanism inserter 344 shown in FIGS. 25 and 26 , may include an engagement end 366 with a shape corresponding to the opening 199 in the locking mechanism 192.

Claims (11)

  1. Un dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400), le dispositif comprenant :
    un élément formant corps (110, 410) comprenant une surface venant au contact d'un os (104), l'élément formant corps (110, 410) incluant un cylindre de pivotement (124, 412, 434) ;
    un élément supérieur (130, 430) comprenant une surface venant au contact d'un os (104), l'élément supérieur (130, 430) incluant un canal de pivotement (432, 416, 136), où le cylindre de pivotement (124, 412, 434) est configuré pour se mettre en prise avec le canal de pivotement (432, 416, 136) ; et
    un mécanisme de mouvement (140) destiné à mouvoir l'élément supérieur (130, 430) relativement à l'élément formant corps (110, 410), le mécanisme de mouvement (142) incluant une tige filetée (160) couplée à une tête de charge (170) par le biais d'un deuxième cylindre de pivotement (162) ; et
    où la position et l'orientation du cylindre de pivotement (124, 412, 434) sont fixes par rapport à l'élément formant corps (110, 410) ; et
    où la position et l'orientation du canal de pivotement (432, 416, 136) sont fixes par rapport à l'élément supérieur (110, 410).
  2. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 1, où l'élément formant corps (110, 410) inclut une première extrémité et une deuxième extrémité et comprend en outre :
    un canal d'alignement avec un outil (112) sur la première extrémité ;
    une ouverture d'attache d'un outil (114) sur la première extrémité adjacente au canal d'alignement avec un outil (112) ; et
    une ouverture d'ajustement (116) sur la première extrémité adjacente à l'ouverture d'attache d'un outil (114).
  3. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 2, où l'élément formant corps (110, 410) inclut une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure et comprend en outre :
    un trou (118) près de la deuxième extrémité de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) et s'étendant à partir de la surface supérieure jusqu'à la surface inférieure, le trou (118) étant configuré pour recevoir au moins une portion du mécanisme de mouvement (140) ; et
    un canal (122) s'étendant à partir de l'ouverture d'ajustement (116) au niveau de la première extrémité le long d'un côté latéral de l'élément formant corps pour se mettre en prise avec le trou (118).
  4. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 3, où l'élément supérieur (130, 430) inclut une première extrémité et une deuxième extrémité et comprend en outre :
    une surface en fond à l'opposé de la surface venant au contact d'un os (104) ; et
    une zone de dégagement (134) positionnée sur la surface en fond au niveau de la deuxième extrémité et alignée avec le trou (118) de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) ; où le canal de pivotement (136, 432, 416) est positionné sur la surface en fond au niveau de la première extrémité.
  5. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 4, où le mécanisme de mouvement (140) comprend :
    un assemblage d'expansion (142) configuré pour être placé dans le trou (118) de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) et pour se mettre en prise avec la zone de dégagement (134) de l'élément supérieur (130, 430), l'assemblage d'expansion (142) incluant la tige filetée (164) et la tête de charge (170) ; et
    une tige d'entraînement (180) configurée pour l'insertion dans le canal (122) de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) pour se mettre en prise avec l'assemblage d'expansion (142).
  6. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 5, où l'assemblage d'expansion (142) comprend :
    un engrenage cylindrique (150) configuré pour se nicher dans le trou (118) de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) ;
    un moyen de support (158) positionné de façon adjacente à l'engrenage cylindrique (150) ;
    la tige filetée (160) comprenant :
    le deuxième cylindre de pivotement (162) sur une première extrémité ; et
    une pluralité de filetages externes (164) s'étendant sur la longueur de la tige filetée (160) ; et
    la tête de charge (170) avec une surface de dessus (174) et une surface de dessous comprenant :
    une surface de tête supérieure sur la surface de dessus (174) et configurée pour se mettre en prise avec la zone de dégagement (134) de l'élément supérieur (130, 430) ; et
    un canal distal (172) sur la surface de dessous et configuré pour se mettre en prise avec le deuxième cylindre de pivotement (162) sur la première extrémité de la tige filetée (180).
  7. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de l'une quelconque des revendications 5 à 6, où la tige d'entraînement (180) comprend : un arbre cylindrique (182) avec une première extrémité et une deuxième extrémité ; un engrenage à vis sans fin (184) au niveau de la première extrémité ; une ouverture (186) au niveau de la deuxième extrémité ; et un canal dans l'arbre cylindrique (182) positionné entre la première extrémité et la deuxième extrémité.
  8. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 7, où le trou (118) de l'élément formant corps (110, 410) comprend en outre :
    un épaulement circonférentiel interne (120) configuré pour recevoir le moyen de support (158) de l'assemblage d'expansion (142) ; et
    une encoche (121) se mettant en prise avec le trou (118) et l'épaulement circonférentiel interne (120).
  9. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 7, comprenant en outre :
    une cheville configurée pour l'insertion dans l'élément formant corps (110, 410) pour se mettre en prise avec le canal dans l'arbre cylindrique de la tige d'entraînement (180).
  10. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 7, comprenant en outre :
    un mécanisme de verrouillage configuré pour se mettre en prise avec l'ouverture d'ajustement (116) dans l'élément formant corps (110, 410) et l'ouverture (186) dans la tige d'entraînement (180), le mécanisme de verrouillage comprenant :
    une tête incluant une ouverture destinée à se mettre en prise avec un outil d'insertion et
    une pluralité de saillies configurées pour se mettre en prise avec l'ouverture d'ajustement ; et un arbre s'étendant dans le prolongement de la tête et configuré pour se mettre en prise avec l'ouverture dans la tige d'entraînement.
  11. Le dispositif de fusion intersomatique (100, 400) de la revendication 1, où le cylindre de pivotement (124, 412, 434) a une surface extérieure dimensionnée pour correspondre à une surface intérieure du canal de pivotement (432, 416, 136), afin de permettre à l'élément supérieur (130, 430) de tourner relativement à l'élément formant corps (110, 410).
