Claims (9)
- Motor vehicle key having an identification signal transmitter for the actuation of a motor vehicle locking system via an air interface, having a housing (1) and an emergency key (2) being disposed in a rest position in the housing (1) and removeable, for the mechanical actuation of the motor vehicle locking system, wherein the emergency key (2) in its rest position is releasably latched by a first latching element (5) and wherein the motor vehicle key has a release button (3), by means of the actuation of which the first latching element (5) releases the emergency key (2), characterised in that the motor vehicle key has a second latching element (7) as interim latch, which a result of the actuation of the release button (3) is automatically moved into its latch position and releasably latches the emergency key (2) after release by means of of the first latching element (5) and the departure from its rest position into an interim position between the rest position and a release position facilitating the removal of the emergency key (2).

- Key according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first latching element (5) and the second latching element (7) and the release button (3) are designed integrally.
