Description

Arrière-plan de l'inventionBackground of the invention

The present invention relates to a self-winding mat configured to allow the passage of vehicles, individuals or animals on a rough surface such as, for example, a path on which are formed ruts, or on muddy, swampy or sandy soil.

In particular, it finds many applications in the humanitarian field, by providing access to difficult locations in the airport field, by allowing the ground clearance of an aircraft, or the landing of an aircraft on rough terrain. , or on soft ground, without the aircraft being in danger of becoming bogged down, or in any other area that may require the passage of vehicles, individuals or animals over rough and / or unstable terrain.

Different types of surface coatings configured to allow circulation on such uneven ground are known from the prior art.

For example, coatings consisting of parallel metal blades and articulated between them are known.

Nevertheless, these products, to be resistant so as to be able to withstand the passage of, for example, vehicles, are generally heavy. In addition, they are usually bulky, so that they occupy significant space when not in use. Moreover, their production is generally tedious and expensive, because of the materials used and their dimensions.

Document is also known FR 2,976,598 , filed by the applicant, a carpet constituted by the superposition of a first and a second ply coated with elastomeric layers. This mat has a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, and has first and second pockets extending in the transverse direction of the belt, each of the first and second pockets being defined between at least a first portion and a second portion attached to the first portion, the first portions of the first and second pockets, on the one hand, and the second portions of the first and second pockets, on the other hand, forming respectively the first and second folds.

Objet et résumé de l'inventionObject and summary of the invention

The present invention aims to solve, among others, the shortcomings described above known coatings, by providing a self-winding mat, resistant and occupying a limited space, when not in use, for allow, when unrolled, the passage over a rough surface.

This object is achieved by the fact that the invention relates to a self-winding carpet in which the first portion of each pocket has a free end lateral edge arranged facing the other pocket and extending according to the transverse direction of the belt, the free end lateral edge of the first portion of the first pocket being remote and distinct from the free end lateral edge of the first portion of the second pocket.

By this arrangement, the carpet can easily be wound on itself, to present a limited space when not in use. Moreover, the weight and the manufacturing cost of the carpet are thus reduced, compared to a carpet whose first portions of the first and second pockets form a single piece.

The pockets are configured to receive a stiffening device, so as to increase the traction and lift of the surface when the mat is positioned on said rough surface.

Preferably, the pockets are through, to allow insertion and removal of stiffening devices.

The invention is described below in a series of alternative embodiments, which may be considered alone or in combination with one or more of the previous ones.

Advantageously, one of the first and second portions comprises a textile ply.

Advantageously, the textile ply is woven.

By this arrangement, the flexibility of the carpet is allowed, without compromising its resistance.

Preferably, at least one of the first and second portions comprises a first face covered with a polymer layer.

Advantageously, the polymer is an elastomer; one can also predict the presence, on the first face, or both sides, of one and / or the other of the first and second portions, of any another material, such as rubber, having desirable elongation at break and adhesion properties, both faces being able to be covered with two different or identical materials.

Thus, the resistance of the carpet is further improved; in addition, the carpet offers, by this characteristic, a satisfactory coefficient of adhesion between, on the one hand, the means of movement of the vehicle or the individual traveling on the carpet, and, on the other hand, the carpet and the surface on which he is disposed.

Advantageously, according to a first embodiment, the second portion of the first pocket and the second portion of the second pocket constitute a single piece which extends between the first and second pockets.

By this arrangement, the manufacture of the carpet is simplified, the first portions of the first and second pockets being arranged on and fixed to the part constituted by the second portions of the first and second pockets.

Preferably, the piece comprises a textile fold.

Avantageusement, le pli textile est tissé.Advantageously, the textile ply is woven.

Advantageously, the part comprises a first face covered with a polymer layer.

Les deux faces peuvent être couvertes de deux matériaux distincts ou identiquesPreferably, the polymer is an elastomer; it is also possible to provide, on the first face of the part, or on both sides, of any other material, such as rubber, having desirable properties of elongation at break and adhesion. Both sides can be covered with two different or identical materials

Advantageously, according to a second embodiment, the second portion of each pocket has a free end lateral edge arranged facing the other pocket and extending in the transverse direction of the belt, the free end lateral edge of the second portion of the first pocket being remote and distinct from the free end lateral edge of the second portion of the second pocket.

By this arrangement, the weight of the carpet is further reduced, its flexibility is improved and, as a result, the space occupied by the carpet when not in use is also reduced.

Advantageously, the first and second portions of the first pocket comprise a first face covered with a polymer layer, the free end lateral edges of the first and second portions being fixed together.

Preferably, the free end side edges of the first and second portions are vulcanized together. The attachment can also be made, for example, by gluing, welding or any other mechanical means.

Thus, the first and second pockets are solidly formed, and their strength is increased.

Advantageously, the belt comprises a connecting element connecting the first pocket to the second pocket, said connecting element being attached to the free end lateral edges of the first portions of the first and second pockets.

By this arrangement, different materials can be used, on the one hand to form the joining element, on the other hand to form the first and second portions defining the first and second pockets. The carpet can thus have characteristics of strength and flexibility adjusted to the stresses experienced by its different parts.

Advantageously, the joining element comprises a textile ply.

De préférence, l'élément de jonction comporte un pli tissé ; il peut également comporter tout autre matériau, tel qu'une plaque métallique, une plaque en matériau composite, une grille pouvant présenter des propriétés de rigidité adaptées à l'usage du tapis, ...Preferably, the joining element comprises a woven fold; it may also include any other material, such as a metal plate, a composite material plate, a grid that may have rigidity properties suitable for the use of the carpet, etc.

The joining element can thus be adapted to the use for which the carpet is intended, the conditions of its use may require specific properties of the connecting element.

Advantageously, the joining element comprises at least one perforation.

Preferably, the joining element comprises a plurality of perforations.

By this arrangement, particularly when the carpet is used in a humid environment, it is not likely to be damaged by a liquid, such as water, which would stagnate on the connecting element during use. Water can flow through the perforations. The presence of perforation also facilitates the storage of the carpet, when not in use, by promoting the expulsion of a loose material, such as sand or earth, which would cover the joining element following its use .

Advantageously, the junction element comprises a first face covered with a polymer layer.

Les deux faces peuvent être couvertes de deux matériaux distincts ou identiquesAdvantageously, the polymer is an elastomer; it is also possible to provide, on the first face of the joining element, or on both its faces, any other material, such as rubber, having desirable properties of elongation at break and adhesion. Both sides can be covered with two different or identical materials

Advantageously, the joining element has an end edge sandwiched between the first and second portions of the first pocket.

By this arrangement, the connecting element is firmly attached to the first pocket, the connection between the first pocket and the connecting element not constituting a zone of weakness that could compromise the overall strength of the carpet.

Preferably, the first and second portions of the first pocket comprise a first face covered with a polymer layer, the joining element and the first and second portions of the first pocket being vulcanized together.

The vulcanization further improves the strength of the fastening of the connecting element to the first pocket; it is also possible to use any other fixing method, such as gluing, welding or any other mechanical means.

Advantageously, the carpet comprises a first face covered with a polymer layer.

Les deux faces peuvent être couvertes de deux matériaux distincts ou identiquesAdvantageously, the polymer is an elastomer; it is also possible to provide the presence, on the first face of the carpet, or on both sides, of any other material, such as rubber, having desirable properties of elongation at break and adhesion. Both sides can be covered with two different or identical materials

Preferably, the first portion of the first pocket extends over all or part of the width of the carpet.

By this arrangement, the maintenance of a stiffening device in the pocket is ensured, the stiffening device is not likely to escape accidentally from the pocket when using the carpet.

Advantageously, the first portion of the first pocket consists of a plurality of sleeve elements spaced from each other.

Thus, the amount of material needed to form the first pocket can be limited, thereby reducing the weight of the carpet. In addition, the presence of spaces between the consecutive sheath elements also facilitates the engagement of a stiffening device in the pocket, and to facilitate removal, the user can guide the movement of the stiffening device through these spaces.

Advantageously, considered in the longitudinal direction of the belt, the distance between the first and second pockets is greater than the width of the first portion of the first pocket.

Thus, the winding of the carpet on itself is facilitated, thereby limiting the size of the device when not in use.

Preferably, the carpet further comprises at least one stiffening device inserted into each of the first and second pockets.

The presence of the stiffening device thus makes it possible to improve the lift of the carpet, when it is placed on a loose or uneven surface.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

The Figures 1A and 1B represent a first embodiment of a belt 10 according to the present invention.

The belt 10 has a longitudinal direction L and a transverse direction T. The belt 10 also has a first 12 and a second face 14 opposite to each other.

The belt 10 has a plurality of pockets 20, 20 ', 20 " extending in the transverse direction T of the belt 10.

For example, and without limitation, the pockets 20, 20 ', 20 " are through, and configured to receive a stiffening device 21, 21', 21"; the stiffening devices 21, 21 ', 21 " are, for example, of cylindrical shape and can be formed in a resistant material, such as a composite material, steel, wood, etc.

Each of the pockets 20, 20 ', 20 " is defined between a first portion 22, 22', 22" and a second portion 28, 28 ', 28 " fixed to one another by delimiting an interior volume.

The first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " each have a first 24, 24', 24" and a second 26, 26 ', 26 " free end side edges.

For example and without limitation, the free end side edges 24, 24 ', 24 ", 26, 26', 26" are parallel to each other and extend in the transverse direction T of the belt 10; for example and without limitation, the transverse direction T is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L of the belt 10.

As it appears, especially on the figure 2 , The free end side edges 26, 24 'of the first portions 22, 22' of two consecutive pockets 20, 20 ', which are arranged opposite one another, are distant and distinct.

The first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " extend, for example and without limitation, over the entire width of the belt 10, one could of course design a belt 10 whose first portions 22, 22', 22" do not would extend only over a portion of the width of the belt 10, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

For example, the first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " comprise a textile ply, such as a fabric, they may also, alternatively or in combination with a textile ply, comprise a layer of polymer disposed on one and / or the other of their faces.

It is also conceivable a belt 10 whose first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " comprise, alternatively or in combination with the previous elements, a sheet of material, such as polymer.

In the embodiment of the belt 10 shown in particular by the Figures 1A, 1B and 2 , The second portions 28, 28 ', 28 "of the pockets 20, 20', 20" form a single piece 34 which extends between the various pockets 20, 20 ', 20 ".

For example and without limitation, the part 34 comprises a textile ply; it is also conceivable a carpet 10 , one or the other of the faces of the part 34 is covered with a layer of material, such as polymer.

It is therefore understood that the first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " of the pockets 20, 20', 20" are attached to the piece 34 in the transverse direction T of the belt 10.

For example and without limitation, the free end side edges 24, 26, 24 ', 26' of the first portions 22, 22 ' are sewn, stapled, glued or fixed by any other means on the piece 34 constituted by the second portions 28, 28 ' of the pockets 20, 20'.

In the event that the first portions 22, 22 ' and the piece 34 comprise at least one layer of polymer on their faces disposed facing each other, it is also possible to design a mat 10 whose lateral edges of free end 24, 26, 24 ', 26' of the first portions 22, 22 ' are vulcanized on the piece 34.

As it appears on the figure 2 , It is observed that when the mat 10 is seen in longitudinal section, the pockets 20, 20 ', 20 "are formed by at least two separate layers respectively constituted by the first 22, 22' and second 28, 28 'portions, while the portion extending between two consecutive pockets 20, 20 ' has a strictly lower number of layers, in this case, the pockets 20, 20' are constituted by the superposition of two layers, while the portion extending between two consecutive pockets 20, 20 ' comprises a single layer.

By these provisions, in addition to the significant material gain that such a characteristic makes it possible to achieve, the belt 10, as represented in particular on the Figure 1B Can be more easily wound on itself, so for example, to reduce clutter when not in use. The stiffening bars 21, 21 ', 21 " may alternatively be held in the pockets 20, 20', 20" when the carpet is folded on itself, or inserted into the pockets 20, 20 ', 20 " after the belt 10 has been unfolded, as shown on the Figure 1A .

For example and in a nonlimiting manner, as represented on the figure 3 , One or more layers 36, 38 additional material such as the polymer, may be disposed on one or the other of the first 12 and second 14 faces of the belt 10; the addition of such layers of material thus reinforces the belt 10, without compromising flexibility. In addition, the presence of such materials on the faces 12, 14 of the belt 10 allows the formation of fingerprints, to further improve the motor and the lift of the surface on which the belt 10 is intended to be arranged.

For example and without limitation, the material layers 36, 38 are glued or vulcanized on the faces 12, 14 of the belt 10.

The figure 4 represents another variant embodiment of the belt 10 according to the present invention.

In this variant, the first portions 22, 22 ', 22 " of the pockets 20, 20', 20" consist of a plurality of sheath elements 23, 23 ', 23 ", the sheath elements 23, 23' , 23 "being fixed, for example welded, glued or vulcanized, on the piece 34.

This variant also makes it possible to reduce the quantity necessary for the production of the belt 10; it also has the advantage, by the presence of a space between two sheath members 23, 23 ', 23 " consecutive of a first portion 22, 22', 22", to facilitate the introduction and withdrawal of stiffening devices 21, 21 ', 21 " in the pockets 20, 20', 20".

The Figures 5A and 5B schematically represent a second embodiment of carpet 110 according to the present invention.

De manière similaire au premier mode de réalisation décrit précédemment en référence aux figures 1 à 4 , le tapis 110 a une direction longitudinale L et une direction transversale T. Similarly to the first embodiment described above with reference to the Figures 1 to 4 , the belt 110 has a longitudinal direction L and a transverse direction T.

It also comprises a plurality of pockets 120, 120 ', 120 " into which stiffening devices 121, 121', 121" can be introduced .

On the other hand, the pockets 120, 120 ', 120 " are also defined between first portions 122, 122', 122" and second portions 128, 128 ', 128 ", the first portions 122, 122', 122" each presenting two free end lateral edges 124, 126, 124 ', 126', the free end lateral edges 126, 124 ' of consecutive pockets 120, 120' disposed facing each other also being similar to the first embodiment, remote and distinct from each other.

On the other hand, the second portions 128, 128 ', 128 " of the pockets 120, 120', 120" also have free end lateral edges 130, 130 ', 132, 132', the free end lateral edges 132, 130 ' of two consecutive pockets 120, 120' arranged opposite one another are also distant and distinct from each other.

As it appears in particular on the Figure 5A , which shows a partially exploded view of the belt 110, the free end lateral edges 124, 126, 124 ', 126', 130, 132, 130 ', 132' are fixed together by mechanical fastening means; for example and without limitation, the free end side edges are sewn, glued or stapled together.

For example and without limitation, the first and second portions 122, 122 ', 128, 128' comprise a textile ply; they can also be covered with a layer of polymer, on one and / or the other of their faces, the presence of a polymer layer then allowing the free end side edges to be vulcanized together to form the pockets 120, 120 '.

Furthermore, the carpet 110 has a plurality of junction elements 140, 140 ', 140 ", which connect the pockets 120, 120', 120" consecutive.

For example and in a nonlimiting manner, the connecting elements 140, 140 ', 140 " comprise a textile ply, such as fabric, they may also comprise at least one perforation thus allowing the evacuation of material, such as water or sand, which would be on the joining element 140, 140 ', 140 ".

For example and in a nonlimiting manner, the joining elements 140, 140 ', 140 " may comprise a metal plate, or a plate made of composite material, a grid or any other element that can be used to constitute a support making it possible to circulate on loose or uneven grounds.

Les éléments de jonction 140, 140', 140" présentent une première 142, 142', 142" et une seconde 144, 144', 144" bordures d'extrémité ; ils ont également une première 146, 146', 146" et une seconde 148, 148', 148" faces opposées l'une à l'autre.The junction elements 140, 140 ', 140 " have a first 142, 142', 142" and a second 144, 144 ', 144 " end edges, they also have a first 146, 146', 146" and a second 148, 148 ', 148 " faces opposite one another.

For example and without limitation, one or other of the faces 146, 146 ', 148, 148' of the connecting elements 140, 140 ' is covered with one or more layers of a material such as polymer .

As it appears in particular in the observation of the Figure 5A , The end edges 142, 142 ', 144, 144' of the joining members 140, 140 'are sandwiched between the first and second portions 122, 122', 128, 128 'of the pockets 120, 120'.

For example and without limitation, the end edges of the connecting elements 140, 140 ' are screwed, glued, welded, or vulcanized with the first and second portions of the pockets 120, 120'.

One could of course design a carpet 110 whose first and second portions of the pockets 120, 120 ' would be directly attached to one another, the end edges 142, 142', 144, 144 ' of the connecting elements 140 , 140 ' then being reported on one or other of the outer faces of the first and second portions of the pockets 120, 120'.

By external face of the first and second portions, we mean the opposite side to that arranged opposite the corresponding portion; in other words, it is the face configured to be disposed on the rugged or loose surface, or to be in contact with the vehicle or the user traveling on the carpet when unfolded.

Similarly to the first embodiment described above, it is found that when the belt 110 is considered in its longitudinal direction L, the portion extending between two consecutive pockets 120, 120 ' has a number of layers strictly less than that presented. by the pockets 120, 120 ', such a provision allowing, as shown in particular on the Figure 5B , Fold the mat 110 on himself.

The figure 6 represents a variant of the belt 110 according to the present invention, in which the connecting element 140, connecting the pockets 120, 120 ', has a plurality of perforations 150. These perforations make it possible, among other things, to evacuate a liquid or a material which would stagnate on one of the faces of the connecting element, while allowing to reduce the weight of the carpet 110.

In a manner similar to the variant of the belt 10 shown in FIG. figure 3 a carpet 110 may be designed, one or the other of its faces is covered by a layer of material such as polymer, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

As shown in particular on figures 2 and 6 , considered in the longitudinal direction L of the belt 10, 110, the distance d between consecutive pockets 20, 20 ', 120, 120' is greater than the width ℓ of the first portions 22, 22 ', 122, 122' of the same pockets 20, 20 ', 120, 120'.

One could also design a variant of the belt 110 according to the second embodiment, in which the first portions 122, 122 ' would be constituted, in a manner similar to the belt 10 shown in FIG. figure 4 , a plurality of sheath elements spaced from each other.

The above description is given by way of example, and is therefore not limiting of the invention.

In particular, it is conceivable, without going outside the scope of the present invention, a carpet which combines together different materials, to form the first and second portions of the pockets and, alternatively, the part extending between the pockets or the connecting elements connecting two consecutive pockets, so as to obtain a mat that is rollable on itself and configured to allow circulation for example vehicle or people on a rough or unstable surface. It is also conceivable a carpet comprising a superposition of different layers of textile, polymer-type material, on top of each other.

It is equally possible to design a carpet consisting of portions formed from the various embodiments described above, and secured together by mechanical joining means.

In the same way, in the embodiments described above, the pockets formed in the belt are through and are configured to receive cylindrical section stiffening devices; it would of course be possible to design, within the scope of the present invention, a belt whose ends of the pockets would be closed, so as to maintain the stiffening devices in place. The pockets could also be shaped to receive, for example and without limitation, elongate plates forming stiffening devices.
