Description
Rauchfalle für eine Abrauchmaschine und Abrauchverfahren Smoke trap for a smoking machine and a smoking process
The invention relates to a smoke trap for a smoking machine, wherein the smoke trap has a filter holder and a filter element arranged therein. The invention further relates to a smoking process using a smoke trap.
Smoke traps of the aforementioned type with a filter holder and a filter element arranged therein have been used in the past in cigarette smoking processes in which the traction frequency was in the range of 60 seconds and the traction volume in the range of 35 ml. For this purpose, the conventional smoke traps were provided and suitable, as they are known for example from DE 41 23 098 A1 or DIN ISO standard 3308.
However, it is desirable to be able to use a smoking process in which the frequency of the train is higher, for example twice as high, and / or the train volume is also higher, for example, around or above 55 ml. In investigations of the aspired smoking process with higher tensile frequencies and / or higher tensile volumes in connection with the present invention, however, when smoking different types of cigarettes on rotating and linear smoking machines, it was found that the determined condensate and water values differ greatly between the above-mentioned machine types However, CO and nicotine levels are comparable. This was not the case with the conventional smoke method with pull frequencies of 60 seconds and pull volume of 35 ml. Investigations showed that the difference of the determined amount of condensate is due to the fact that condensate obviously precipitated in the flue before the smoke trap, ie between the cigarette holder and the smoke trap and behind the smoke trap, ie between the smoke trap and the suction pump. Due to the process, this behavior is more pronounced in rotary smoke machines than in linear smoke machines. The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying or suggesting a smoke trap and a smoke removal method which makes it possible to prevent condensate from being deposited outside the smoke trap and thus being lost for analysis, even at high pulling frequencies and high draft volumes goes.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a baffle is arranged in the filter holder upstream of the filter element, the surface of which is provided as an additional condensation surface.
With the guide plate, it is possible to shift the condensate point of the gas into the interior of the smoke trap, because the active surface in the smoke trap is considerably increased.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is additionally or alternatively advantageous to provide the baffle for optimizing the flow conditions in the smoke trap, such that even the largest possible surface area in the interior of the smoke trap, i. also the inner walls of the smoke trap can be used as condensate separation surfaces.
If the smoke trap is cylindrical, the diameter of the guide plate with respect to the diameter of the filter element and / or the filter holder is selected so that the largest possible surface portion of the baffle, the filter and / or the filter holder is flowed. Preferably, the diameter of the baffle is slightly smaller than that of the filter element. In this way, the flow of the flue gas through the smoke trap is influenced in such a way that the flue gas also increasingly reaches larger inner surfaces of the filter holder as it flows around the guide plate, such as the inner surface of a filter cover and / or the inner surfaces of the edge regions of the filter holder. Elements. In this way, the interior areas of the filter holder can additionally be utilized as condensing surfaces and the condensate separation can be optimized. Since the condensate adhering to the separation surfaces should be obtained as completely as possible for its chemical analysis, it is advantageous to choose the design and / or surface finish of the baffle, the inner surfaces of the filter holder and / or the filter element so that adhering to it after fuming Condensate (for example, by wiping the components) as simple and complete as possible.
Since the tendency to condensation of the components of the flue gas also depends on the material and the surface condition of the condensation surfaces, it is also advantageous to choose the material of the guide plate, the filter holder components and / or the filter element itself so that the tendency to condense is increased. For preference, metallic materials or glass are used here.
As an additional improvement of the condensate separation cooling for the baffle and / or the entire smoke trap is provided.
Es zeigen: The stated object is also achieved by a fumigation method using a smoke trap, in which the flue gas flowing through the smoke trap is deflected in the smoke trap. This has the advantage that the contact surfaces on which the flue gas flows along are increased, so that a larger proportion of the condensate can be deposited. On the other hand results from the flow deflection within the filter holder a longer residence time of the flue gas in the smoke trap, which also increases the condensate, and also improves the cooling of the flue gas in the smoke trap and thus the condensation within the smoke trap. The invention will be explained below with reference to a preferred embodiment. Show it:

Fig. 4: Ein Querschnitt der in Fig. 3 dargestellte, erfindungsgemäße Rauchfalle im zusammengesetzten Zustand 4 shows a cross section of the smoke trap according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 in the assembled state
As FIGS. 1 and 2 show, the conventional smoke trap 1 comprises a filter element 2, which is arranged between a cover element 3 and a bottom element 4. The bottom element 4 has an edge 5 with which the filter element is held radially in the bottom element 4. A removable headband 6 is used to assemble and open the smoke trap. 1
The flue gas flowing in from above passes into the interior of the smoke trap 1 via an inflow opening 7, flows through the filter element 2 and returns to the outside via an outflow opening 8. The flow path of the flue gas is essentially limited to a central region of the smoke trap 1, so that it only to a small extent with the inner surfaces of the smoke trap, ie the inner surface of the lid element 3, the inner surface of the bottom element 4 and the edge 5 in Contact is coming. Accordingly, the condensation on these surfaces is low.
Figures 3 and 4 show an embodiment of the smoke trap according to the invention 1 1 in which a filter element 12 between a cover member 13 and a bottom member 14 is located, which has an edge 15 for radial fixation of the filter element 12. Like the conventional arrangement, the embodiment according to the invention has a headband 16, an inflow opening 17 in the cover element 13 and an outflow opening 18 in the bottom element 14. In addition to the components of the conventional smoke trap, the smoke trap according to the invention further comprises a guide plate 19 which is arranged between the cover element 13 and the filter element 2 and fastened via a fastening element 20 on the cover element 13 or locked in its position. For this purpose, the guide plate 19 has a protruding upwards to the fastening element 20 projecting projection 21 which is located in corresponding support feet 22 of the fastening element 20 for radial fixation.
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, the fastening element 20 has a flow-through opening 23 which extends the inflow opening 17 inwards.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the outer radius of the guide plate 19 in the exemplary embodiment shown is somewhat smaller than the outer radius of the filter element 12.
The flue gas flows via the inflow opening 17 and the flow opening 23 of the fastening element 20 into the interior of the smoke trap 1 1, is distributed in the radial direction over the surface of the guide plate 19 and flows at the edges of the lightweight sheet 19 on the filter element 12, through which it via the outlet opening 18 leaves.
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, the flue gas contacts not only the surface of the guide plate 19 but also the inside of the cover element 13 and the edge regions of the base element 14 due to the guide plate 19 results in a flow distribution within the smoke trap for a flow optimization in the sense of the task, namely to increase the residence time of the flue gas in the smoke trap. This leads to a longer contact as well as to larger contact surfaces of the flue gas with the components of the smoke trap and their edges, with the additional effect of better cooling. All this leads to a higher condensate separation. Both the fastening element 20 and its retaining feet 22, as well as the Vor- Jump 21 of the baffle are chosen or designed so that the flue gas flows evenly in the interior of the smoke trap.
The smoke trap according to the invention has substantially the same outer dimensions as conventional smoke traps, as can be seen in the comparison of FIGS. 2 and 4. This makes it possible to use the smoke trap according to the invention with the abovementioned substantially improved properties in the case of combustion machines, without the need for conversions to the smoking machine.
The invention has been explained above with reference to preferred embodiments. However, many deviations are possible for the person skilled in the art without this leaving the inventive concept. Thus, it is possible to design the guide plate 19 in a different way than in the present embodiment, in order to achieve optimum flow conditions in terms of the best possible condensate separation. Furthermore, it is advantageous to form the fastening element 20 and / or the projection 21 differently in order to hold the baffle and / or to optimize the flow of the flue gas within the smoke trap.
