Definitions
- the invention relates to an abrasive.
- Abrasive materials having a flat surface and an active coating fixed to the substrate for processing a workpiece are known.
- the active coating can primarily consist of two elements.
- a first element is a carrier element and fixed by means of a binder to the substrate.
- the second element is a grinding element, which is fixed by means of a second binder on the surface of the carrier element.
- the active coating comprises elevations formed from individual elements and is fixed to the substrate by means of a binder.
- the active coating also comprises a grinding granulate, which is formed from abrasive granules and which is fixed by means of a coating on the surface of the elevations.
- Previously known abrasives may not be able to ensure a high grinding performance over a long period of time.
- the active coatings are partially formed from an agglomerate, which consists of a mixture of binder and abrasive element.
- the agglomerate is expensive to produce, which is reflected in the final price of the abrasive.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to provide an abrasive, which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art, in particular the fact that the Abrasive has over the prior art optimized grinding properties.
- an abrasive comprising a flat base and a fixed to the pad active coating for processing a workpiece, which is a carrier granules, which is formed from Spogranulatelementen and fixed by means of a first binder to the substrate, and a grinding granules comprises, which Grit granules is formed and fixed by means of a second binder on the surface of the carrier granules.
- the abrasive according to the invention is characterized in that the carrier granules are each made homogeneous.
- the structure of the carrier granule elements is thus the same in each region of a carrier granule element, so that each carrier granule element can be broken down into arbitrarily small parts which all have the same physical and chemical properties.
- the carrier granules have an irregular shape. An irregular shape is given when the shape does not follow regular regularity and has irregularly distributed recesses, projections, fissures and / or the like.
- the abrasive granules are fixed to the carrier granules such that irregular bonding distances of the abrasive granules to the sheet base are formed by the irregular shape of the carrier granules.
- the active coating is removed in the direction of the flat surface.
- the active coating is removed in the direction of the flat surface.
- the granulated carrier elements are made of pumice, the irregular shape of which being natural and / or brittle.
- Pumice stones have many positive properties with respect to the abrasive according to the invention. Thus, for example, they are made homogeneous by their foamy-porous structure and they have depending on the demolition of an irregular shape. They are also easy to break up, but have by their foamy-porous design on a grid structure which is so pressure resistant that it is not deformed during the grinding process.
- the compressive strength also means that the second binder can be applied very thinly, whereby very small Schleifgranulatrii can be connected.
- the abrasive can be easily influenced in its hardness, so that different abrasives can be performed for different applications.
- the shapes of pumice stones can be designed differently. For example, it is conceivable to make the pumice stones largely oval in their cross-section. However, it is also conceivable that the pumice stones are designed in a cone-like manner in the broadest sense, whereby they are fixed with a surface on the substrate and extend largely tapered away from the pad away.
- the carrier granulate elements can each be formed from an arrangement of individual, smaller sub-elements, specifically in the desired size and / or shape.
- the carrier granulate elements can each be formed from an arrangement of individual, smaller sub-elements, specifically in the desired size and / or shape.
- sub-elements of the same size so that a homogeneous sub-element size is realized.
- the sub-elements by means of an adequate Bonded together.
- Each sub-element has a surface, wherein the lying on the outer sides of the structure surfaces of the sub-elements additionally form the surface of the corresponding Marshgranulatelements.
- the sub-elements comprise the abrasive granules, which is formed from Schleifgranulatelementen.
- the abrasive granules are arranged at least on the surface of the carrier granulate element which is formed by the surfaces of the subelements lying on the outer sides of the structure.
- Schleifgranulatimplantation it is also conceivable to provide Schleifgranulatieri on the entire surface of each sub-element. Such a design enormously increases the amount of abrasive granules that can be received per carrier granulate element.
- the partial elements are first provided with a coating of abrasive granulate elements or with a grain coating before they are joined together to form a carrier granulate element by means of an adequate binder. It is conceivable then to apply a further layer of abrasive granules to the surface of the carrier granulate element.
- the carrier granulate elements predominantly have a diameter of about 1 to 2 mm. This size is particularly advantageous because it results in a thickness of a knit coating which allows kinking or bending of the sheet abrasive without damaging or breaking the knitting sheet. Prevention of breakage may also be assisted by making the first binder soft or elastic enough to decouple the carrier granules sufficiently from the pad.
- the carrier granules have a pore volume of 50% to 80%.
- Cartridge granules designed in this manner are particularly advantageous because of their low abrasive hardness and thus bring in the course of the grinding process always new Schleifgranulatimplantation in contact with the workpiece to be machined.
- the carrier granules are applied to the substrate by means of electrostatic scattering.
- An electrostatic scattering means that the carrier granules are aligned perpendicular to the flat base relative to their main axes and fixed in this orientation by means of the first binder.
- the abrasive granules are applied to the second binder by means of electrostatic scattering. Due to the resulting, with respect to their main axes perpendicular orientation of the Schleifgranulatiata against the pad these can participate over a long period in the grinding process.
- the abrasive grinding granules become increasingly shorter and duller as the active coating is removed. New abrasive granule elements intervene to the same extent in the grinding process as grinding abrasive granules become shorter.
- the vertical orientation of the abrasive granules thus results in less wear and reduced stress on the abrasive abrasive granules.
- abrasive granules As F grains. Under an F-grain is to understand a grit, which is provided for abrasive grain rigid executing abrasives.
- the execution of the abrasive granules according to a FEPA standard (Federation Europeenne of the Fabricants Produces Abrasifs) from, for example, electrocorundum and / or silicon carbide leads to an optimal grinding performance in metallic and non-metallic materials with low tensile strength, since very hard and brittle abrasive granules are intended for grinding ,
- the abrasive granule elements are formed of corundum, silicon carbide, boron nitride, diamond, ceramic or a similar other material.
- the above list can not be considered exhaustive.
- the backing is polyester, paper or a heavy and flexible cotton fabric.
- the active coating can be stably bonded to such a base and can thus achieve an advantageous grinding performance.
- FIG. 1 shows a section of a flat abrasive.
- the abrasive comprises a sheet 2, which is designed as a heavy and flexible cotton fabric.
- an active coating 4 for machining a workpiece 18 is fixed on an active side 3 of the base 2, an active coating 4 for machining a workpiece 18 is fixed.
- the active coating 4 comprises a carrier granulate, which is formed from carrier granulate elements 6.
- the Rauchgranulatieri 6 are designed as pumice stones, their irregular shape is due to breakage.
- the irregular shape of the pumice is formed by a fracture having irregularly distributed projections and recesses on the surface of the pumice.
- the pumice stones are designed conical, have a diameter of about 1 to 2 mm and are applied by means of an open scattering on the base 2 and fixed there by the first binder 8.
- Abrasive granules 10 having an elongated / elongated and sharp-edged shape are applied to the carrier granules 6 by means of a second binder 12.
- Schleifgranulatiata 10 are largely aligned perpendicular to the base 2, so that they resemble raised spines of a hedgehog.
- FIG. 2 shows a detailed section in a side sectional view of an active surface 16.
- the second binder 12 On the surface of the running as a porous pumice carrier granules element 6, the second binder 12 is applied.
- the second binder 12 acts as a plain weave and thus fixes the Schleifgranulatiata 10 on the surface of the Victoriagranulatelements 6.
- a coating 14 On the second binder 12, a coating 14 is applied, which acts as a cover bond and fixed the Schleifgranulatiata 10.
- FIGS. 3a to 3g show how in the course of a grinding process, the active coating 4 is removed.
- FIG. 3a forms an unused active coating 4 before the grinding process.
- the active coating 4 is moved by means of a corresponding pressure force in the direction of the workpiece 18, so that a processing surface of the workpiece 18 and the base 2 are largely parallel to each other.
- the tips of the abrasive granulate elements 10 first come into contact with the workpiece 18, which have the greatest distance to the substrate 2.
- FIG. 3b shows, these Schleifgranulatiga 10 are removed until the Victoria 6 come into contact with the workpiece 18.
- the abrasive granules 10 are at the surface of Carrier granules 6 arranged, lined up along the circumference of the break-up surface. These abrasive granules 10 in contact with the workpiece 18 thereby define an abrasive rim of a carrier granule element 6 in a plane of the break-up surface. Description
