L'invention concerne un terminal de paiement électronique, comprenant un boitier composé de deux demi-coques (2, 3), l'une formant la partie supérieure du boitier et l'autre formant la partie inférieure du boitier, caractérisé en ce que chacune desdites demi-coques (2, 3) présente des éléments de charnière complémentaires permettant l'assemblage pivotant des deux demi-coques, et en ce que ledit boitier comprend des moyens de blocage du pivotement d'une demi-coque par rapport à l'autre, dans une position de fermeture du boitier dans laquelle les deux demi-coques (2, 3) sont superposées.
