  8. Tête d'expansion (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisée en ce que les arêtes des mâchoires d'expansion (4) sont arrondies, brisées ou chanfreinées.
  9. Tête d'expansion (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisée en ce que la surface des parois extérieures (7) de l'ensemble de mâchoires d'expansion (4) correspond, dans l'état fermé de la tête d'expansion (1), à 40 % à 60 % de la surface de l'enveloppante des parois extérieures (7) de l'ensemble de mâchoires d'expansion.
  10. Elargisseur pour des pièces creuses, en particulier pour les extrémités de tubes en matières plastiques et en métaux revêtus de matières plastiques, comprenant une tête d'expansion (1) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9.
