Description
- The present invention relates to a cooking oven which can be easily produced and wherein energy saving is provided by heat insulation.
- In ovens, an insulation material having a low thermal conductivity coefficient is wrapped around the base unit in order to decrease heat loss from the oven cavity to the exterior environment. Thus, the amount of energy consumption of the oven can be decreased. Wrapping and assembling the insulation material around the base unit without any gap remaining therebetween is highly critical. If a gap remains between the insulation material and the base unit or if the two edges of the insulating board overlap at the joint, heat loss occurs and thus the amount of energy consumption of the oven is increased.
- In the state of the art United States Patent Document No.
US252018 , an oven is described which comprises metal hooks that provide the insulation to be fastened to the base unit. - In the state of the art International Patent Document No.
WO2007147867 , an oven is described wherein energy saving is provided by heat insulation. - In the state of the art European Patent Document No.
EP775871 - It is known in the state of the art from German Patent document No.
DE 81 21 032 a cooking oven comprising a cooking chamber defined by side, top, bottom and rear walls and a thermal insulating layer which is wrapped around the walls. - The oven therein disclosed further comprises clamping elements, which provide the opposite edges of the thermal insulating layer to be joined.
- Irish Patent document No.
IE 20030140 - The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven wherein the insulating board is practically mounted to the base unit and energy saving is provided.
- The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises at least two holders fixed to the base unit, which pass through the insulating board edges facing each other and are fixed to each other. The holders produced from metal material remain between the insulating board and the base unit.
- The insulating board comprises at least one opening disposed on each opposite edge thereof and through which the holders pass. The holders go out of the body by passing through the opening and are connected to each other from the ends thereof which go out of the body. Thus, wrapping and fixing of the insulating board around the base unit without a gap between the two opposite edges thereof is provided by means of the holders.
- The holders allow the opposite edges of the insulating board to be fixed to each other without a gap remaining therebetween.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the holders comprise two protrusions, one of which is mounted to one of the opposite edges of the insulating board and the other to the other one of the opposite edges of the insulating board, allowing the insulating board to be wrapped around the base unit by preventing the two opposite edges of the insulating board from overlapping.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the holders are fastened to each other by being fitted one within the other.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises at least one protrusion disposed on the first holder and at least one housing disposed on the second holder. After the insulation is wrapped around the base unit, the holders having the protrusion and the housing are taken out of the body by passing through the opening. The protrusion is locked to the housing so as to prevent the two edges of the insulation from overlapping and the formation of a gap therebetween.
- In a derivative of this embodiment, the oven comprises more than one protrusion disposed at different levels with respect to each other and more than one housing fixed at different levels. The protrusion is situated into the housing at the point where the insulation tightly surrounds the base unit.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the holder is produced from elastic material. Producing the holders from elastic material allows the holders to be easily fastened to each other during assembly.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises at least one lug disposed on the insulating board situated on the base unit and which allows the insulating board to surround the base unit without a gap.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the length of the lug is greater than the thickness of the insulating board. Thus, the insulating board is prevented from being detached from the protrusions.
- By means of the present invention, an oven is realized which provides the insulating board to be mounted all around the base unit and without a gap. Thus, heat leakage to the exterior environment is prevented during the operation of the oven and energy saving is provided.

- The oven (1) comprises a body (2), a base unit (3) surrounding the oven cavity disposed within the body (2), wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed and a plate shaped insulating board (4) providing heat insulation and which is wrapped around the base unit (3).
- The oven (1) of the present invention furthermore comprises at least two holders (5, 105),
- disposed on the base unit (3),
- one of which is mounted to one edge (K1) of the insulating board (4) and the other to the other edge (K2) of the insulating board (4) by extending from the base unit (3) to the insulating board (4) and
- which provide the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) to be joined without a gap remaining therebetween by being fastened to each other (
Figure 1 ,Figure 4 ). - The insulating board (4) is preferably a rectangular plate produced from an insulation material having a low thermal conductivity coefficient. The insulating board (4) is bent around the base unit (3) so as to surround the base unit (3). The holders (5, 105) are fastened to the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) which contact each other without a gap therebetween. The holders (5, 105), the lengths of which are greater than the thickness of the insulating board (4) are fastened to each other from their ends. Thus, the insulating board (4) is provided to be fixed to the base unit (3). By fastening the holders (5, 105) to each other so as to pull the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) towards each other, the insulating board (4) is prevented from being folded around the base unit (3). Furthermore, the opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) are prevented from overlapping by means of the holders (5, 105).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises holders (5, 105) that allow locking at more than one level. The locking level of the holders (5, 105) is changed according to the distance between the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) wrapped around the base unit (3). Thus, the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) are provided to be joined without a gap remaining therebetween (
Figure 2 ,Figure 3 ). - In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises the insulating board (4) having at least one opening (9) disposed on each of the opposite edges (K1, K2) thereof and through which the holders (5, 105) pass. By the insulating board (4) being wrapped around the base unit (3), the holders (5, 105) that remain between the insulating board (4) and the base unit (3) go out of the insulating board (4) by passing through the opening (9).
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the holders (5, 105) comprise at least one protrusion (6) each which allows the insulating board (4) to be wrapped around the base unit (3) by preventing gap formation therebetween and the overlapping of the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4), and which prevents the detaching of the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) from each other by being wrapped around each other. The insulating board (4) is wrapped around the base unit (3) such that no gap remains between the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4). The protrusions (6) disposed at the ends of the holders (5, 105) passed through the openings (9) disposed on the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) are fastened to each other by being bent such that one grasps the other. Thus, the insulating board (4) is provided to surround the base unit (3) without a gap therebetween.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the holders (5, 105) are locked by being fitted one within the other. The holders (5, 105), which are locked by being fitted one within the other so as not to move with respect to other, are prevented from being detached from each other (
Figure 2 ,Figure 3 ). - In an embodiment of the present invention, the first holder (5) comprises at least one protrusion (6) and the second holder (105) comprises at least one housing (7). The two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) are provided to be joined by fixing the protrusion (6) passing through the opening (9) to the housing (7) such that no gap remains between the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) (
Figure 2 ,Figure 3 ). - In a derivative of this embodiment, the holder (5, 105) comprises more than one protrusion (6) disposed at different levels with respect to each other and more than one housing (7) locked with the protrusions (6) at different levels. The protrusion (6) and the housing (7), that go out of the insulating board (4) by passing through the opening (9) with the wrapping of the insulating board (4) around the base unit (3), are fixed to each other such that no gap remains between the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) (
Figure 3 ). - In an embodiment of the present invention, the holder (5, 105) is produced from elastic material. Being produced from elastic material allows the holders (5, 105) to be bent from the ends thereof after passing through the opening (9). The holders (5, 105) are taken out of the insulating board (4) by being passed through the opening (9). The holders (5, 105) are bent towards the insulating board (4) from the ends thereof that remain outside the insulating board (4) and are locked to each other by being fitted one within the other (
Figure 3 ). - In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises at least one lug (8) disposed on the base unit (3) and which allows the insulating board (4) to surround the base unit (3) without a gap. The insulating board (4) is provided to remain stationary on the base unit (3) walls where the holders (5, 105) are not disposed by means of the lugs (8). The lugs (8) produced preferably from metal material provide the insulating board (4) to remain on all the walls of the base unit (3) without sliding off (
Figure 1 ). - In an embodiment of the present invention, the length of the lug (8) is greater than the thickness of the insulating board (4). The lugs (8) which are embedded into the insulating board (4) are bent from the ends thereof. Thus, the insulating board (4) is prevented from detaching from the protrusions (6).
- By means of the present invention, the mounting of the insulating board (4), which is wrapped around the base unit (3), to the base unit (3) without a gap remaining therebetween is provided by means of the holders (5, 105). The holders (5, 105) fastened to the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) allow the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) to be joined all along. Furthermore, the insulating board (4) is prevented from sliding off the base unit (3) by means of the holder (5, 105) and the lugs (8). Thus, an oven (1) is obtained wherein heat loss is prevented and energy saving is provided.
Claims (10)
- A cooking oven (1) comprising a body (2), a base unit (3) surrounding the oven cavity disposed within the body (2), wherein the foodstuffs to be cooked are placed and a plate shaped insulating board (4) providing heat insulation and which is wrapped around the base unit (3), characterized by at least two holders (5, 105)• disposed on the base unit (3),• one of which is mounted to one edge (K1) of the insulating board (4) and the other to the other edge (K2) of the insulating board (4) by extending from the base unit (3) to the insulating board (4) and• which provide the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) to be joined without a gap remaining therebetween by being fastened to each other.
- A cooking oven (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the holders (5, 105) that allow locking at more than one level.
- A cooking oven (1) as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the insulating board (4) having at least one opening (9) disposed on each of the opposite edges (K1, K2) thereof and through which the holders (5, 105) pass.
- A cooking oven (1) as in any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized by the holders (5, 105) locked by being fitted one within the other.
- A cooking oven (1) as in any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized by the holders (5, 105) having at least one protrusion (6) each which allows the insulating board (4) to be wrapped around the base unit (3) by preventing gap formation therebetween and the overlapping of the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4), and which prevents the detaching of the two opposite edges (K1, K2) of the insulating board (4) from each other by being wrapped around each other.
- A cooking oven (1) as in any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized by the first holder (5) having at least one protrusion (6) and the second holder (105) having at least one housing (7).
- A cooking oven (1) as Claim 6, characterized by more than one protrusion (6) disposed at different levels with respect to each other and more than one housing (7) locked with the protrusions (6) at different levels.
- A cooking oven (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the holders (5, 105) produced from elastic material.
- A cooking oven (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by at least one lug (8) disposed on the base unit (3) and which allows the insulating board (4) to surround the base unit (3) without a gap.
- A cooking oven (1) as in Claim 9, characterized by the lugs (8) the lengths of which are greater than the thickness of the insulating board (4).
