Claims (13)

  1. Sliding closure for a metallurgical casting vessel, in particular a casting ladle, having a slider plate (3) mounted to be displaceable between a head plate (5) and a discharge plate (3), wherein
    all of the three plates (3, 5, 6) are arranged within a slider housing (1) that can be opened if required which comprises a mounting plate (2) for the head plate (5) on the side facing the casting vessel and in the closed state is sealed toward the outside in a gas-tight manner, which is furthermore delimited by the side comprising the mounting plate (2), on the one hand, and a box-like frame (14), on the other, that is mounted to be pivotable about a first axis (16), to the side (17) of which that is opposite the mounting plate (2) the discharge plate (6) can be mounted, wherein between the side of the slider housing (1) comprising the mounting plate (2), and the box-like frame (14) a circumferential sealing, in particular a sealing cord (22) is arranged,
    characterized in that
    the slider plate frame (10) together with the slider plate (3) is held on the box-like frame (14) to be pivotable about a second axis (9) in particular extending approximately in parallel to the first axis (16) such that, when the slider housing (1) is being closed, the slider plate (3) is pivotable into the box-like frame (14) in abutment against the discharge plate (6) mounted there, and then the box-like frame (14) together with the discharge and slider plates is pivotable close to the mounting plate (2) while abutting the slider plate (3) against the head plate (5) mounted to the mounting plate (2), or vice versa when the slider housing (1) is being opened.
  2. Sliding closure according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    in the interior of the slider housing (1) either a negative pressure can be established, or an inert gas, in particular argon, can be introduced and maintained under positive pressure.
  3. Sliding closure according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    the pressure within the slider housing can be adjusted, in particular controlled, namely preferably as a function of the slider plate position between "completely open" and "completely closed".
  4. Sliding closure according to claim 2 or 3,
    characterized in that
    the slider housing (1) has at least one inert gas connection (29).
  5. Sliding closure according to claim 3 or 4,
    characterized in that
    the slider housing (1) comprises a control, in particular overpressure valve.
  6. Sliding closure according to any one of claims 1 to 5,
    characterized in that
    between the mounting plate (2) and the casting vessel a circumferential sealing, in particular a sealing cord is arranged around the discharge channel (4).
  7. Sliding closure according to any one of claims 1 to 6,
    characterized in that
    the slider plate (3) is held within a slider plate frame (10) and displaceable with the same from an open into a closed position and vice versa.
  8. Sliding closure according to any one of claims 1 to 7,
    characterized in that
    a slider plate drive (13) id connected to the slider housing (1), namely by interposing a separate sealing (33).
  9. Sliding closure according to claim 1 or 8,
    characterized in that
    on the slider plate frame (10), a connecting part (12) for coupling to a complementary connecting member (11) of the slider plate drive (13) is formed, wherein the latter protrudes into the interior of the slider housing (1) in order to be locked therein automatically with the connecting part of the slider plate frame (10) when the slider housing (1) is being closed.
  10. Sliding closure according to any one of claims 1 to 9,
    characterized in that
    when the slider housing (1) is being opened and at the same time the slider plate frame (10) together with the slider plate (3) is uncoupled from the slider plate drive (13), the slider plate fame (10) can be locked either manually or automatically on that part of the slider housing (1) that can be pivoted away from the mounting and head plates (2, 5), respectively, or, conversely, can be unlocked when the slider housing (1) is being closed.
  11. Sliding closure according to claim 10,
    characterized in that
    the slider plate frame (10) together with the slider plate (3) is mounted on a swing frame (32) held to be pivotable on the box-like frame (14) of the slider housing (1) to be longitudinally displaceable.
  12. Sliding closure according to claim 11,
    characterized in that
    the locking mechanism for the slider plate frame (10) comprises a locking pin (19) arranged on the swing frame (32) for the slider plate frame (10) and slider plate (3) and mounted to be displaceable relative to the slider plate frame (10), which locking pin can be inserted into a pin hole formed in the slider plate frame (10) in particular in the form of a receiving slot 20' for the purpose of locking the slider plate frame (10) on the associated swing frame (32).
  13. Sliding closure according to any one of claims 1 to 12,
    characterized in that
    with the discharge plate (6), a tube-like outlet (8) is associated, and that between the outlet (8) and the slider housing (1), in particular the bottom wall (17) thereof, a sealing (15 or 35, 36, 37 or 40, 41) is arranged as a gland sealing so that inert gas, preferably argon, can be introduced from the slider housing (1) into the area around the discharge opening (45) in a controlled manner.
