Der aktuell gültige, einmalige Freigabecode wird sowohl von der Elektronik des Schlosses, als auch von der elektronischen Einrichtung erzeugt, wobei dieselbe Verschlüsselung des unmittelbar vorhergehend gültigen, einmaligen Freigabecodes erfolgt. Für den Nutzer des Systems ist es möglich, über die separat angeordnete elektronische Einrichtung Kenntnis von dem aktuell gültigen, einmaligen Freigabecode zu erhalten, um diesen anschließend in das elektronische Schloss eingeben zu können. Hierdurch ist keine Kommunikation zwischen dem Schloss und der separat angeordneten elektronische Einrichtung nötig, die das Schloss angreifbar für Hacker machen würde.
