Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es daher, eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Sortieren von Münzen derart anzugeben, dass der Aufwand für ein Wiederinverkehrbringen von einmal ihrem Wert nach erfassten Münzen reduziert wird. Die Erfindung wird beschrieben durch die Merkmale der unabhängigen Ansprüche 1 und 8. Der besondere Vorteil der Erfindung besteht darin, dass infolge der sortenreinen Bevorratung der eingezahlten Münzen ein erneutes Vereinzeln und Identifizieren derselben entbehrlich ist. Die Sortierung findet direkt im Anschluss an die Identifikation der Münzen im Rücknahmeautomaten selbst statt. Vorteilhaft steigert die Führungseinheit die Sortiergenauigkeit, da Fehlsortierungen durch das Vorsehen der Führungseinheit vermieden werden können. Die Führungseinheit kann beispielsweise wenigstens eine Führungsrinne für die ausgeworfenen Münzen, eine als Münzrutsche dienende Schrägfläche oder ein an den Durchmesser der Münzen angepasstes Führungsrohr aufweisen. Insbesondere können die Münzen in der Führungseinheit unter Nutzung der Gewichtskraft passiv in Richtung der Sammelbehälter geführt werden. Gemäß der Erfindung ist eine Mehrzahl von in Förderrichtung hintereinander angeordneten Auswerfern vorgesehen. Die Anzahl der Auswerfer entspricht hierbei der Anzahl von Münzsorten bzw. der Anzahl von Sammelbehältern. Vorteilhaft kann die Sortierung der Münzen mit einer hohen Genauigkeit erfolgen, wenn je Münzsorte genau ein Auswerfer vorgesehen ist. Der Auswerfer kann dann als ein quasi analoger Auswerfer ausgebildet werden, der lediglich zwischen den Betriebszuständen "Auswerfen" und "nicht Auswerfen" unterscheidet. Vorteilhaft kann durch das Vorsehen von Detektoren, welche den Auswerfern jeweils nachgeordnet sind, die einwandfreie Funktion der Auswerfer überprüft und eine Fehlsortierung unmittelbar detektiert werden. Die gilt insbesondere, wenn für jede Münzsorte ein separater Auswerfer vorgesehen ist. Beispielsweise können Detektoren unmittelbar vor den jeweiligen Auswerfern angeordnet sein. Vorteilhaft kann der Zeitpunkt zur Betätigung des Auswerfers durch die vorgelagerten Detektoren exakt und mitunter unabhängig von der Fördergeschwindigkeit bestimmt werden. Weiter weist die Austrageinheit eine Mehrzahl von in Förderrichtung hintereinander angeordneten Austragmodulen auf. Jedes Austragmodul besitzt einen Auswerfer und einen dem Auswerfer nachgeordneten Detektor und ist genau einem Sammelbehälter zugeordnet. Vorteilhaft kann die Vorrichtung durch die Modulbauweise in einfacher Weise an Münzsätze in unterschiedlichen Ländern angepasst werden.
